(For the spirit will come, as it is promised, when it is time and develop in you. :) A deep abiding prayer life will come in you as you yield to His presence in glorious tongues. It may feel like you're swimming at first, in a river, where you finally feel submerged in the water. It is the water of life from God. ( Saints are sometimes so distant from God, they don't know how to get back to God. For this comes from heaven..tongues. ) A measure of faith is needed also, and will come to you. If you're going to pray in public in an "unknown" tongue then title your video accordingly, else you're lying to your audience, are you not? The point is that there is, as you are aware, a great big difference between speaking in tongues, as in - Acts 2:8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? - and then there is the unknown tongues speaking which, if I'm reading the Bible correctly, says that there needs be an interpreter when an unknown tongue is spoken in public, is this not correct? So, where is the interpretation of this unknown tongue and another question - how is it that no one, that I am aware of, has ever received the gift of speaking in tongues as described in Acts 2:8 who has "allegedly" received the gift of speaking in an "unknown" tongue or tongues?

Start by asking forgiveness for any transgressions, and then say "Holy Spirit you are welcome here/within me. Pray for me and through me so that I might draw closer to you." I asked more or less the same thing at the altar at my church. I even got frustrated at one point and said "God where are you? I am down here trying to do right by you? Do you even hear me?" Quietly enough that no one could possibly have heard me under the music or musicians were playing. Our pastor, who had been across the room in the huge sanctuary at our church, within 3 seconds of saying what I had said, zipped across the room and held both sides of my head as I prayed saying "I AM HERE SAYS THE LORD. I AM HERE!" I know I'm late Jill, but don't be discouraged. I am 26 and tried for 3 years and then strayed from God for about another 10 before I was able to gain the gift of tongues. But I tell you that day it hit me like a freight train. If you ask you shall recieve it.
