My favorite part about the versa is that it is not a bullcrap futuristic car. It's a car that just does car things. Handbrake ✅ Key Ignition ✅ Manual Shifter ✅ No keyless entry ✅ No crazy ass infotainment, I am most likely just going to boot my own custom infotainment ✅ More knobs, buttons, etc ✅
It really is, I lowkey like that not many people are fond of these versas because that gives me a better chance to buy them! Everyone wants the FuTuRiStIc stuff but they will never know about these hidden gems 👀@@youtoobe169
Hey sir I love your content for my 24 Versa S M/T. I’m currently at 250 miles & have been keep the rpms under 4k. Do you think I should be driving it harder? Was residing online to wait until 1,200 miles but i’m wondering if I should go ahead & rev it out more & drive it how i’d want to.
I beat the fuck out of my versa from mile zero to mile 26,000 every single day I never shifted below red line zero problems If you're going to drive it like I did run 5W30 zero problems out of this engine HR16s are super reliable I'd have no problem driving the car beating the shit out of it change your oil first though first thousand miles really likes to eat the crankcase
Hi (Versa Note with CVT driver here) Am I correct when I say the "S" trim has NO pass through from the trunk? I would have to go to a higher trim which would lock me out of the available manual shift?
Correct no pass thru. At some point I want to find one with a pass thru in a junkyard (when the other car's cvt blows up) and swap it in. Although... I'd have to do something about the interior seat color since I think the different trims (the ones with pass thru) have a different seat pattern.
@@youtoobe169 I've since sold the car and bought a GR86. launched the car at limiter on a prepped surface at the drag strip and first gear started making bad noises. Transmission may also have been underfilled because i was going on service manual fluid fill (5, 5/8 pints i think) vs full level beginning to drip out of the fill plug. overall me being stupid with the car made it home driving every gear except first just fine Even got me to work for the next week before I took it to Nissan and had absolutely no trouble getting a free transmission under warranty which honestly should not have been honored. my 23mt versa was probably the one of the best cars I've ever owned
@@braydoncoate Did you use the new lower viscosity NFX 75W manual transmission fluid specified on the manual or did you go with the Nissan 75W-85 when you did the manual transmission fluid change? Seems like not only Nissan but other manufacturers like Honda are starting to specify thinner or lower viscosity fluids for their manual transmission just like they are doing for the engine oils. It seems to be an emissions and fuel economy mandate.
I’m thinking a fob for remote lock and unlock can be programmed on after the fact. I’d be shocked if the ability to support that is stripped out of the car.
It took me a long time to find this one. Tip: Go on to Nissan's website every day and search for an inbound one. As soon as you see it, call the dealer and leave a deposit. That's what I did to get this one. Took 6 weeks.
@@youtoobe169 I am interested in buying one. But Nissan dealers are the worst to deal with. What was your experience? Did you have to pay over sticker? Were you able to get any discounts?

It's the antithesis of most of what people who hate new cars hate about new cars. You left out "not an EV"
I love this comparison, especially the minor things which got changed which nobody notices or is not mentioned by Nissan.
Glad you enjoyed it!
So 2023s have analog instrument cluster and physical keys, now I'm interested.
I do like the experience of the physical key on the '23. The instrument cluster has not changed since the '20 redesign.
@@youtoobe169 I've seen videos with digital tachometer on the Versas, so the S model is only analog? Interesting.
@@objective7042 Yes, I forgot that the higher trims had the digital.

I don't think the S has the pass through and the manual is only available on the S

Awesome vid. I've been checking on these vehicles
They are super fun cars to drive!
just tore the transmission out of mine! WIll post update on the forum here soon
I'd like to know more about that

That list looks shorter than your 2020. I don’t like push button start. But no remote locks on the fob are inexcusable to me

I was really surprised by no remote fob, but in a way it adds to the retro charm.
