My mom taught me to do this with the hook as a child & somewhere in my 20's I taught myself to do it with a yarn needle & it goes pretty fast. It's relaxing to do
10:52 so glad you answered the question of whether or not the loops come off. I've seen a similar tutorial but was afraid to try it because I thought the loops wouldn't stay put.
Am speechless and nothing else I can do to appreciate this wonderful work other than subscribing and liking the video it was my first time here and am really happy to see this may God bless you largely dear
Be blessed dear amazing job am watching from Tanzania I wish if you can assist me on how to get the material as I found out here is very expressive one thank you for sharing
Really, you are generous and may God bless you for your generosity ❤️❤️😇🙏🙏🙏.A friend of mine refused to show me how it's done but I pour my heart out unto you.Shalom is the best gift from me my dear.Thank you 🙏❤️❤️❤️
This is fantastic!!!!! I've been wanting to cover my floor in 100% wool rugs to act like carpeting (but can be cleaned much easier). Normal wool rug prices are in the $1000 range. I want to make my own to save money but the only handmade rug techniques I've found use smelly carpet adhesive or latch hooking. This is so much faster and doesn't use glue!!! I can cover my floor in a month with this technique! Thank you so much!!!!! Thank you so much
This is AMAZING!!! Back in the 70's, latch-hooked rugs were really popular, except you needed a latch hook and you used individual cut pieces of yarn. So tedious. I am so happy I found another way to do this more efficiently and with great results. Thank you so so much!!
I have made shaggy rugs before. They never looked like this rug. I was taught so differently. Mine would also come apart. This rug is beautiful. You were very slow for me and I was able to follow everything you did. Thank you so much for showing me an easier way to do this. It looks so pretty.
It is a fantastic tutorial. Simple and clear demonstration, no beating around the bushes. And the voice is so pleasant, soft and calm. I generally am irritated by the speaker's voice. Sometimes it is so painfully annoying that I have to turn the sound off and use the subtitles. I loved the background sound that contributes to creating a therapeutic atmosphere. You feel like you are transported in the middle of a village at sunset, not far from a water, in a peaceful home, where the pace of life is the right one. I would like to live there. Thank you so much for the video! You should consider reading books online.
You’re such a great Teacher that I’m actually confident I could make this, despite never having crocheted or knitted before. Love to see more easy rug tutorials. ❤😊 Great job, thank you!
I can’t believe I never saw this before and have only been taught to cut yard in little pieces and latch hooked it on-which never stays . Thank you so much for this knowledge.
What holds the middle loops in place? It looks like you are pulling the yarn from the back to the front, but there is nothing to anchor them in place, except at the beginning and end of your row.
I just love it...this is a genius technique...time saving...and you do not need pre cut pieces of string, a certain hooking needle or a specific canvas... as in US videos... WONDERFUL THANK YOU :)
Oh my goodness, this is genius!! I’ve been crocheting for years and can’t even begin to try to count how many latch hook kits I’ve gotten for my kids over the years so they’d have a project too. I don’t think they ever finished any of them before losing interest with those little pieces of yarn or losing half of the yarn. This is such a quick and easy way to do it, thanks for sharing
This is the first time I've seen this technique. I'm truly impressed by your explanation and walk-through of the process. You have a very soothing voice and inspired me to try this neat way of making rugs! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this simple style. I have done the old way of cutting yarn pieces for soo looong. I feel cheated🤦🏾🤦🏾. I once did a 2mtr by 2mtr carpet n i was soo tired i almost gave up. I wish i knew this style earlier. But am glad i stambled on your work on Tiktok. God bless you 🙏🏾
Amazing! I have yarn and a nonslip backing. I wanted to make my own rug but didn’t want to have to cut all the small pieces of yarn. Thank you for sharing your amazing skills
The way you are doing it you've made me have interest in learning how to make rugs using that hook but I don't know where to buy all the materials to use in Zambia am motivated your work is clean, beautiful and naughty and able to follow you step by step
Thanks for posting. I can't wait to try this! :)

The door mat looks so good and amazing wow congratulations🎉🥳👏 amen🙏?
What holds the middle loops in place? It looks like you are pulling the yarn from the back to the front, but there is nothing to anchor them in place, except at the beginning and end of your row.
That’s exactly the problem I have had… the loops can easily go out when you cut them…
Ai vc pode passar embaixo a cola antiderrapante além de não escorregar tbm não deixa os fios se soltarem
You are a great teacher. we really appreciate it. Thank you
I just love it...this is a genius technique...time saving...and you do not need pre cut pieces of string, a certain hooking needle or a specific canvas... as in US videos... WONDERFUL THANK YOU :)
