    Before watching this I thought 2hp modules were not really interesting, but the Freeze, switch and the burst look amazing, the designs are superb and they are coming out with a lot of interesting options.

    Love this company! That switcher at the end is pretty sweet, as was your tune!

    Wish they would be a little more consistent on things like font size and whether labels were above or below. Seeing them side by side it makes my brain melty

      i think they were designed to be filler modules

    Those guys should package these modules with a little flying bus cable so they don't hog your power headers.

      You nailed it...besides the ridiculously small size, that's one of the main reasons I've never got on this < 6 HP module train. Buy a few of those and..you still have a ton of HP left but vanishingly few power slots available.

      I’d eagerly watch a video of DivKid connecting the power to these seven modules, except there’s no way to get cameras to show such fiddly work in a dark, cramped space.

      Or get tip top mantis case they have so much power

    For lunchbox 32HP setup these 2HP rock in spite of the issues around bus cables and power headers.

    "Now, sawtooth into a filter is a beautiful thing". :D Awesome statement! Please, for the love of fuck, continue these awesome informative videos!

    2HP Tune doesn't have 2 outputs. It has a 2 input - one signal to be quantized on top and one input on the bottom for controlling the bias or octave of the scale. The bottom most jack is the quantized output.

    I agree with Ben about the size. The modules are easiest to use physically if you space them through your system. I have the adsr and the lfo (really nice) and they sure pack a lot of punch for 2hp. But the knobs are, by necessity, tiny.
    I'm keen on the mixer after watching this clip

    Brilliant ... I knew intellectually that combining waveforms could be good, but thought it was somehow harder ... love the mixer, I use their logic, seq, and adsr modules with my small system.

    Hi Ben! Is there a way to get freeze to clock/tempo sync and maybe turn a knob that divides the repeats?

    So my Tune distorts whatever signal I put into it and has done since I bought it.... That means it's broken then by the sounds of yours. Shit.

    • @VinceFinemMusic
      @VinceFinemMusic ปีที่แล้ว

      Tune only works with voltages. Cv goes in, gets quantizwd to the nearest note voltage then gets sent out to control the sound source. It doesn't process audio signals.

    With VCV Rack now, these digital moduls turned a lot less interresting, my computer can do this easily.

    • @xydamage9754
      @xydamage9754 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I have a lot of fun with my modular, VCV is much more boring, it doesn't have physical knobs. Having to use a mouse and a keyboard ruins the fun for me.
      EDIT: I love VCV, but it's more of a prototyping tool than a performance tool IMO

      pretty much everything can be done more efficiently with computers. that's not the reason you buy physical hardware in 2018 (for the most part)

    • @aikighost
      @aikighost 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dude you've been able to do this stuff in reason for years, but actual hardware modular is WAY more fun.
