Recycling died in 2017 because of China. Worse we’re wasting water to wash them before putting them 8n recycling bins. This adds up if every household is doing the same thing. Before that it was just glass bottles and cans. They should start there with the basics and work their way up. There is no easy solution for plastics. Too many variables.
I've been sending my recyclables to the landfill since February 2021 & I live in Mecklenburg County.
