watching wisely vids makes me wish to be living in UK to be a customer. you are so earnest and diligent in your i3 care and work. thanks so much for sharing and manny years of i3 work may you have!
You guys at Wisely are awesome! I bought my i3 new in 2019. I fell in love after a test drive, but researched further before committing to buy. I was further attracted to the i3 by its wonderful and imaginative engineering. This body will never rust and is almost impossible to ding. What an amazing vehicle BMW made in the i3.
Good to see BMW has built this car in the main with the same sized screws for panel attachments, other manufacturers please take note.
Everything looks so fragile! Very informative, thank you for taking the time to show us how to remove the panels.
I'm so glad I am bringing my i3 to wisely in April and not a BMW stealership
You guys are the best. I wish you were here in California.
Hands down the best most informative i3 videos.
Keep up the great work.
Had the pleasure of going to Wisley to have the 12 volt battery replaced on my i3 recently. The service was excellent!!
Fantastic and informative content guys, you really are the i3 experts.
Again a great video, like the previous.
I'll probably will use it. Actually, I needed it already last month ;)
A request:
A video about the 12v battery: how to replace it? That would be very helpful in the near future!
They already made a video where this topic is covered : th-cam.com/video/YnjO9DmqV6w/w-d-xo.html
Can you do a video about how to fix the rattle noises in the i3's interior
Perfect tutorial executed in a calm stress free way
What a great public service you have done by making and posting these videos! In addition to the windscreen, it would be good to see one on the interior panels too! My i3 has derailed sunroof blinds that I would someday like to address.
Extremely useful tutorial Arthur and Martin. I too would like to see your windscreen replacement process. Many thanks.
That was an incredibly useful video with great camera work too! Thanks much!
This is a great video, but I would love to see how to remove the plastic A pillar and roof trim without destroying them. Any chance you can do a quick vid on this?
Plus one for the A-pillar and roof trim removal - ours is now vibrating and believe a sticky pad used to fix the roof trim has failed so would be great to know how to remove and fix
Thank you!
very useful, thanks!
Just noticed I need a front screen replacement earlier today so that little tip about the corner pieces will come in handy I’m sure!
you guys are legends, thanks for sharing this 👍
Holy Graal !!! Thanks a lot for sharing this video !!! Big Thanks !
Now l want to get one just to tear it apart!! Great Video!!
Found it very useful thank you 🙏🏻
Massive thanks for filming this! I would have never found that hidden fastener for the front bumper - and there are zero front bumper removal videos on TH-cam!
Many thanks for this helpfull video !
+1 for a Windscreen video!
Great videos... extremely helpful!
This is a fantastic video! The detail and patience is some of the best I've seen. Bravo and thank you!
This is awesome
Well done Arthur 👍👌🤟
thank you very much for all your i3 videos. i is the most serious i3 channel on youtube. I love your thorough review of the car and with it, I have chosen an i3s model. It was not bought from you, however, as I live in Denmark, but you were the fundamental reason for my purchase. I have thrown in a super thank you of DKK 89 which you have deserved
the rocker pannel removal would be nice thanks
thank you! I'm in dire need of know-how.
Great informative video.
So what are the economics of replacing a blue rear offside wing rather than having a gouged (2cm sq) one filled and painted to a high standard?
nice watch😁😁
Thanks :)
As usual a very interesting and detailed video. What a beautiful piece of engineering. I would buy clear panels 😃
Thank you for another great video. I understand there’s a hose or something behind the front passenger wheel (driver’s side here in the US) that can rattle. I have that on my i3 and was kind of hoping you’d show that. But at least now I have an idea of what’s going on under the skin of my i3… Again, thanks!
It's just like a Smart. Never knew it was reasonable easy.
Brilliant, yep I have a new project.... but what colour hmmm
Does anyone have an Amazon link to that special driver for the door handle? Thanks to this video I see a color change in the future for my 2021 i3 S in boring black now. I'm thinking perhaps a nice green? green seems to be a very rare color for the i3
ever done a video where you take the carpet up? I was curious if there's space under the seats carpet for the undersea subwoofers
Good video. Keep it up😅
Thanks so much for the very helpful and informative video!!
About the door handle - I’ve done exactly what you said, went in with pliers and stripped the screw.
What do you do when that happens? Do I have to replace the whole mechanism or is it a quick for this?
Should have driven it outside to get a better look. Was about dim in there.
Also should have taken opportunity to wind windows up and down with skins off.
Also how much do spare panels cost?
Would this be an alternative to wrapping?
Hi There Wisely automotive,
I’m a big fan of all the clips you’ve made so far.
I would love to come and have my I3 serviced with you guys but since I’m living in the Netherlands I am looking for a similar garage like yours.
Do you happen to know such address in the Netherlands other than the regular BMW dealers ?
I hope to hear from you !
Till that time I keep on watching your clips😜
Thank you
Any chance of doing a vid on how to remove and replace the pedestrian speaker?
Would you please do a video on how to adjust the door handle correctly when it gets loose?
As you know this tends to happen and I think there is scope for getting it wrong if you don't know what you're doing.
Many thanks!
haha ive liked before ive Even watched
I want to live next door to Martin!
How do you get the little black strip of trim rubber replaced at the top of the B pilars that join the roof? Mine has started to lift and need replacing. Looks like 50p of rubber but I am sure its not that easy is it? :-)
They are £8.90 + VAT each and generally do not perish/lift/disintegrate of their own accord but usually due to a sloppy windscreen install. To replace them you greatly risk damaging both the A pillar corner finishers and the A pillar trims themselves. It can quite quickly turn into a can of worms so we wouldn't recommend doing it unless absolutely necessary. Consider instead lightly gluing them back into place. We briefly show the replacement of these in this video:
th-cam.com/video/6LMmX59-iwk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FfWC17QVA3e7n2Y0&t=1506
I want to know what drama is involved in taking off the three fixed panels you *didn't* take off: to the right/left and rear of the roof itself. My roof is well into blistering mode, and I can do a much cleaner prep/paint job if I can get those panels out first. Any hints?
Great video and thanks for uploading. Just wondering where to get the clips for the outer panels ? Finding it hard to find them
Both Frank Keane sites have a parts department! Not sure why that wouldn’t be the obvious first port of call?
@@wiselyauto Thanks. I just thought I could get them online somewhere ! I will get on to BMW today to see if I can get them 👍
The dealer network is the only root supplier of parts, meaning anything for sale online by someone else has ultimately been bought from one of the main dealers (and usually marked up).
The million dollar question is could you fit a rear sway bar behind the bumper, with a REX exhaust there too?
Can I have all the body panels please
I’d love a blue one 😂
Can you fit the i3s front bumper to a regular facelift i3 by just buying the front bumper?
You need only to replace the inner part of the bumper (the always black middle section of the S bumper) 😉
It’s quite cheap to replace (especially for a already fully painted part)
Can you give me the frame number of the i3s?
Because I am in China, I want to order the fenders of the i3s, but the staff who helps me order the accessories told me: "I need the frame number of the i3s, I am afraid of ordering the wrong goods."
Having owned my i3 for about 2 years and hoovering up any content I can find on TH-cam, this was probably the most informative video I've seen.
Ain't that the truth, and I haven't even got an i3
