Example, the reason zaphod had two heads was that he could have two drinks at the same time, not a flip top head that is one at a time. The studio was unable to get the author to let them start, until his untimely death. America doesn't do good remakes, they couldn't even do "Get Smart" without screwing it over. So yes, Zooey was good in it, etc but the movie sucked.
@@alanhilder1883 Two heads like in the BBC tv series (but with 2005 movie quality) would make filming unnecessarily difficult and expensive. Douglas Adams understood that a movie is different from a book, and he was very open to making changes in the adaptation.

Up to them, Hollywood is a very negative place for older, younger and middle age females as they project unrealistic versions of beauty on to women. I don't begrudge any woman in that industry for having to keep up with a ridiculous standard. Personally I wouldn't want them to do any plastic surgery but I understand why they do. We all don't need to see only tall skinny women with perfect hair, skin, curves ect,.....
