The 'real you' doesn't have to be a sob story or a big breakthrough. All the contestants gave it their all no matter the story. Everyone goes for the deep and meaningful route, it's refreshing to see something up beat and playful. It seems to me the real Jimin is spontaneous and unpredictable. Everyone goes for the deep and meaningful route, it's refreshing to see something up beat and playful. It seems to me the real Jimin is spontaneous and unpredictable. I honestly do not see anything wrong with this performance. This unnecessary hate has to stop. This song has been topping charts, so I'll let the likes and statistics speak for themselves.
I prefer Cheetah's performance myself 'cause she owned it but I agree. 'The real you' is so subjective.

전조운 If she wasn't told by the PD to make faces and was genuinely frowning and rolling her eyes, it probably wasn't because of Jimin herself or the song, but the fact that she made it seem so, how she herself said, "Music Core and Inkigayo". The others performed either alone or with the person they featured in their songs, Cheetah's performance was, like she once again said, her, her music and a microphone, but Jimin had at least two stylists and dancers on stage, she made it seem like a generic music show performance. Her performance was no different than a Hyuna solo performance. The song is good, but it's her way of displaying it that was not to everybody's (and probably Cheetah's) liking. The theme for the performance and song was 'The Real Me', but Jimin chose to showcase her idol persona, which we all know, idols put on a show, they are told how to act and they are given certain images to play, exceptions are idols who have been in the business for a long time and have established a career and a strong fanbase, or those that have shown their true colours from the beginning, so their fans and the public are already used with them.

that the theme of the song was "real me" but how is this showing people the real her. WHICH she worked hard throughout the show to prove, yet this stage did nothing but prove she's still an idol. She goes from acting shy and crying about the other girls from a stage where shes acting all sexy doesn't scream "real me"people just wish that she did something different. Yeah you could see when the cameraman was focusing on AOA and them cheering they didn’t show Mina one little bit, while Jimin was performing, only for except when they showed her beside the other member that was cheering loud for her, I could see in her face that she looked uncomfortable to be there, I feel so bad for her she doesn’t deserve this.
