As a 7th generation dairy farmer it saddens me deeply that we seem to have lost the trust of the consumer despite our continued commitment to caring for the land and our animals 😢 If you are unsure about where your food comes from or how it is produced I encourage you to seek out one of your local farmers to have a real life conversation with! - Michaela (Richmond Farms Dairy, one of the 98% of family owned US farms)

It's very sad to see this. 97% of American farms are family owned and operated, we just have significantly fewer people willing to be farmers which leads to large farm sizes. The utilization of modern farming methods does not mean a farmer only cares about dollar signs at the expense of everyone else. Agriculture is a science and is taught in almost every single university. It is constantly being researched, revised, and expanded on. All of this information is available to the general public if they care to look hard enough.

As a consumer, but someone that works for farmers, I find the opinions of some of these individuals quite disturbing. Farming should be an agribusiness, but that doesn't mean people won't have a positive social stance as well. They need to be businesses to keep up with paperwork to stay successful just as any business does. With all of the regulations to keep food safe for the billions of people in the world, farms have to keep good records to stay in compliance and have good business practices. That doesn't mean those farmers use GMOs. I'm friends with lots of people that run small farms and they have their products in local grocery stores. It isn't all corporations. It is crazy how much misinformation is out there about the food system! Maybe someone should shed positive light on our supply chain for a change. . . I imagine most people don't think about these issues every time they eat each day or else so many fast food chains would not exist.

As crestons wife I trust the small farmers not the big farmers who are wealthy they do whatever the govt tells them and the money goes to the big farmers no scarecrow on the farm the small farmers with small acres suffered song is true. If it's small yes but if it's big enough they have more than a thousand acres I don't trust them if they have small acres 500 or less yes I trust them the big farmers with lots of land even locally that's who our politicians give to help them while the small farmers it's supposed to go to them but it goes to the wealthy farming family. It's not just corporate farms I don't trust I don't trust the big farmers who hurt the small farmers by taking govt money that's supposed to go for small farmers that ends up in your pockets instead. Reminds of the ppl loan supposed to go to help small businesses but instead rich people got it like youtube influencers like love meg she and others didn't need it but they got it just like with our small farmers they get crapped on the bigger the farm it gets treated like a big business that is not right. I don't see big farmers talking about it they are to busy collecting off the profits as long as they got money they don't care about the small farmers. It's for them but you take it and put it in your pockets. Thieves
