    Your sense of humour just slays me. "A moment of reflection" and "watch the world burn" both made me nearly spit out my coffee.

    Wow thanks, this is extremely useful! I never realised that normal map matcap was actually usable! So easy!!!

    sheesh this blew my mind... i've really gotten into 2d tiling art, and wondered if it was possible in blender as well for sculpting. Of course it is... and you explained it perfectly

    Thanks for the tutorial, was considering buying a zbrush tutorial for the exact same topic but now I don't have to :D

      also you're sculpting with tiling, but is that also a feature when texture painting?

    Thank you for such high quality video with many great insights.
    I try to learn about basic+ and up to date work flows and techniques for making 3D models and effects for games, to improve a visual aesthetic in my projects, so videos like this could help me a lot.
    Please keep the good work!
    There is a void in the scene after Brackeys retirement, maybe you can fill it... ;-)

    • @PolyToots
      @PolyToots  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hah, I would need a small team to compete with what Brackeys was pumping out, his channel was very good at giving you just the right info and inspiration in a condensed amount of time. Thanks for the kind words though! I hope to do more 3d stuff in the future as well as continue with Unity shader magic and VFX.

    Since 4.2, The "None" option in color management > Display device is gone 😢. Any idea how to go around that problem ?

    using mirror along the y axis with the tiling sculpt part of the video. there seems to be an issue where theres a line along either side of the tile that, when sculpting on the opposite side to it, will not be manipulated. i know this is a sculpting issue but i cant figure out what the issue is. anyone else having that problem?

  • @fortniteonrtx3050ti

    And if you dont mind where do we use these textures ?

  • @jewfinigan863
    @jewfinigan863 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video, cheers. Does anyone know how to do the same thing but with texture painting? Cos texture painting only has mirror in symmetry options, not tile

    • @PolyToots
      @PolyToots  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I'm understanding you right, there's always the old-school method of just duplicating your texture plane and painting across both (joined as one object).

    Save yourself a lot of time by using the grabdoc addon to bake displacement and normal map + a bunch of others.

    This is so frustrating every single blender tutorial i follow, the person go so fast since I dont know where everything is. So SLOW DOWN plz. I know everyone will say just pause the video but its so tedious every 5 seconds pause to got blender do the thing... o wait there is some setting that is wrong on my version figure it out then back for another 5 seconds of explanation. grrrrrr

    • @nedfest
      @nedfest 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      fyi @polytoots yours is the best as far as speed. I just dont know where anything is.

    • @PolyToots
      @PolyToots  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nedfest It can get frustrating as Blender updates quite often and likes to shuffle the UI a bit. You could try looking up a youtuber called @grabbitt , he's pretty chill and takes things very slow. I believe he is a 100% blender tutorial person, whereas I'm mostly Unity.
