IL-2 Flying Circus "A Better Man"

- Every now and then one gets into a duel that may not turn out well, but is still worthy of fighting. I recently had an honor of crossing the swords with one of the best virtual pilots out there, the famous Ace Ivo from No.10 RNAS. It was one of those duels that you won't forget. It immediately reminded me the video which I saw in the beginnings of my career as a virtual pilot for the WWI sims. That was SharpeXB´s "Better Man". For me this is still one of the best WWI sim dogfights ever recorded. As a tribute to this duel I edited the video. Hope you´ll enjoy it and maybe ... find an ispiration to the future. Ace Ivo, with respect to your skill I salute you my Friend & Enemy.

Pretty amazing. I am not a pilot but I am an enthusiastic fan. The gyrations of both aircraft almost seem not possible in “real life”. Lots of expenditures of ammo for little result. One short, accurate burst ended the fight. Thanks!!😊
The turn-rate and maneuverability in general is definetely possible with those airplanes although I doubt that real-life WWI pilots ever did such intense maneuvering dogfights due to the stress it puts on a pilot. I can assure you that in real life in such conditions you would be passing out or at least throwing up after like 4 minutes of the fight. But it is how the sim dogfights work ... one mistake and you´re done. I shouldn´t be prophanging the enemy while he was on a top of his climb. I miscalculated how much energy I have left and result was hitting the silk. Although lot of my ammo did find the target ... it´s not apparent on a first look but actually Sopwith was shredded to pieces. Especially the engine.
Damn how are the opponent movements in replay so smooth? For me in the replays, whenever I use free camera it looks like the opponent is lagging
That´s actually a game bug. Exiting the game and loading the recording again works for me. It happened to me during editing of this video like 6 times. Sometimes it goes away just by itself sometimes you have to reload it.

Glad the snipe won. The Fokker d7 is always on top. The scoring on Flukpark central always wins.
😆I can see some serious hate here. I mean Fokker D.VII F version is clearly supeior to the Snipe in terms of aircraft performance so if I wouldn´t do any mistakes I would definetely won this fight. Even this one was pretty close according to what Ivo told me after the duel. And he´s basically one of top 3 pilots in FC so it was already big risk to get into dogfight with him ... We did lot of duelling with Ivo to determine which airplanes are a good match to each other and in D.VII F I won 8 out of 10 fights against the Snipe. But I do understand you about the Flugpark. They had a really bad plane roster in the past ... but I must say it´s better these days ... they changed the roster and also there are some maps where Central don´t have the D.VIIF at all.
@@J18Flyer I have to admit, the reason why I quit Flugpark was mainly because of tryhards in DVIIF and DrI

Ahoj, kdybys tam přidal efekt poškozeného černobílého filmu tak by to vypadalo 1:1 jako dobová nahrávka. Těch 7 minut bylo vizuální potěšení pro oko. Oba jste mistři ve vzduchu, smekám. Těším se na společný polet. S!
Děkuju! No tohle byl jeden z těch lepších ale vidíš, že na některé fakt nemám 😬 Každopádně vyřešil jsem ten problém s nižší kvalitou videa po uložení ... tohle už je v pohodě. Taky se těším. S!
