Hey Sailing Zatara. Long time listener, first time caller. Needed to let you know that you guys make a difference for all the folks that watch your videos and follow your adventures. I know you do for me. Thanks for doing all that you do and being who you are. God bless.
Keith, I think I just realized why I enjoy watching you so much, we’re kindred spirits! I have been watching you guys since the beginning. I do exactly the same things you do on your boat but I do them in my house. Things break and wear out and everyone just expects “Big Daddy” to fix it. Sometimes I feel like the live in handyman 🤪 thank you for the entertainment and sharing your story.
I simply can't stop watching. If I am at work, I put an ear bud in and just listen. Just so peaceful. And I love Keith and his humor, reminds me of myself. Just an absolutely amazing family.
I’ve been watching your video’s for over 3 years. I just wanted to let you know, even though I have no sea legs 🦵 and you will never get me out there on the ocean, your channel made me move to a different lifestyle. One with ocean, beach and sun. I moved from central west New South Wales to Fraser Coast Queensland Australia. Thank you 🙏 😀
Oklahoma Gal here again!! I know I’ve said it many times … but Your family is absolutely a joy !! Love the way you love one another!! It reminds me of my family!! I would rather enjoy watching your videos than a movie.. truly a joy!! The way you love your children is awesome!! My children.. they make my heart smile more than anything!! Keep on keepin on doing what makes your hearts smile!! 💞
Can’t tell you just how much your videos means to us. We look forward to Thursday just so we could join your family on your travels. Every country is prettier than the next. Thank you for taking us along, and keep your family adventures coming!😊
Really enjoying seeing you in more videos Renee! I know you had previously mentioned that you weren't super comfortable in front of the camera but you work so hard so you deserve the fame as well!
After living on the water for several years, I am surprised that just came up. I guess prawns are a different kind of fishing, and perhaps you need a license for the nets, but I thought the small commercial fishermen would be selling their catch around the marinas and even anchorages.
I’d need everyone’s help, hate when the food looks back at me. Spanish friend cooked paella and I had to avoid scooping the prawns for that reason. Love prawns, they just need to be without eyes and legs 😁
No idea why... But I LOVE watching them grocery shop in different places.. Its like one of my favorite parts to watch of their videos!😝 I love seeing the food and supply shopping
Great episode, it’s so pretty there, glad you guys had a nice and easy nine day sail. I LOVE that you are back to using the whole, original intro song “Float Away”, and not just a broken piece of it, it takes me back to all the good and not so good times of your journey, and times me and my son had watching your adventures… cheers… Jeff
Excellent episode. Love the details and showing work getting done on the boat. Finn.... spectacular cover by changing your fall from the skateboard to pushups! It's nice to see how Jack shows his love for sailing and boats by recognizing how keeping the hulls clean makes for a better boat and sailor. Many people probably would not have noticed as they passed by another boat. Pride in a job well done means pride in oneself. Stay safe and happy on the water!
another great video. Keith glad to see you got that issue fixed. Renee, glad to see you giving keith some props at his ability to fix things. I know you probably do a lot of that off camera. Guys, especially husbands, need that kind of thing from their wives to make them feel good about being able to provide and take care of their family. I can see and hear from all the vids i've watched that you have a lot of respect and love for keith. so glad to see that kind of great role model influence. Ya'll are the best. wishing you safe travels and fair seas!👍
I've been a technician my whole career and have utmost respect to boat owners. I do not own one myself but understand the constant amount of work and maintenance required to keep that vessel operating optimally. It requires either one hell of an income or aptitude to make basic electrical/plumbing repairs, it's hard to do without understanding the theory of how things work to diagnose a particular issue. And when you're in the middle of the ocean facing a challenge such as that, it can also save your life.
Great job Keith. We full time travel in our RV and being able to fix and work on things yourself sure saves a lot of money. You don’t have to be rich to enjoy this lifestyle. But your money can go a lot farther when you can do things yourself. A BIG HOWDY to all the Z Crew…..
One of the things I appreciate the most about your channel is the work you put into the boat. Then explaining how much you save! Knowledge is power! I made it a point to learn everything I could to fix my boat it saves so much money!
Seychelles are my favorite Islands. Sailed there from South Africa in 1973 and spent 5 months Cruising its beautiful islands. Been back in 1999 when our ship stopped for two days on our trip from Italy to Durban. Spent a week on Mahe in 2010 in a hotel in Beau Vallon. Explore Praslin and La Digue also a must is a visit to the Valley De Mai on Praslin. Have fun!
Keith & Renee, been watching you guys for a little under a year now. Binged all your seasons. So fun to see your family grow up living the dream. Do you miss having your oldest daughter with you? What are your long term plans regarding your cruising lifestyle as kids get older and "leave the boat"? Keith you cracked me up on this episode having a nibble on your goatee at the 10:43 mark! Great family friendly content. Keep it up, Renee your production skills are really good!
Its great to watch your boys as your helping hand, best training for them cause your world is seafarer almost with your family. Keep on as united family. GOD BLESS YOU.
I think Keith likes the scenario of the ‘men’s shed’ in the backyard but his interpretation of it is, a beautiful boat on a blue ocean with his family and plenty of maintenance to fiddle all the days, with some needed repair or fix up. He is having a great challenging time with the huge variety of ‘things’ that need fixing.
Winter Haven Florida saying HELLO! Eden looks absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see the other places you'll be visiting in the Seychelles. Fun times and keep it safe out there!
You all are truly living…. It’s inspiring to see the family being able to experience this once in a lifetime adventure.. When i grow up and have kids i want them to experience something i never had the opportunity too.
Keith you under sell yourself so much and I really think your family are very lucky to have someone on board that is so handy in all aspects. You never seem afraid to tackle any thing. I think you right. Alot of the time things are not hard to do, but it takes guts to have the confidence to give it a go. Well done. Love to you all from South Africa. Very sad to see you not coming here as Cape Town a'd surrounds is one of the most beautiful areas in the world and you are missing out. Lilly
Never a nasty comment, you guys are too nice, great watching the kids grow into their own also, Parenting done right, Love your channel, Hugs From Canada!
Keith had an issue with one of the Heads not long after they purchased the Cat. A hose had a piece of rubber from when it was manufactured stuck in it which of course took a while to diagnose. Recently a pal of mine had to basically take his much smaller boat apart to replace the fuel tank. Roof. Helm station.,Seat. All had to go. They put the new tank in along with the NEW fill hose. It kept burping fuel out as it was being filled. I told them the Zatara tale and the new hose may have an unseen problem. A piece of rubber was wedged in it. . They were able to get it out without taking tbe boat apart again. All good! Thanks Captain Keith!
It was funny how the kids were annoyed at those charter boats not keeping up with their hull maintenance. They're probably used to Keith constantly servicing the boat and keeping it shiny.
I agree, just wondering, as a charter boat, you get on it, spend a week or two and then get off. Who is responsible for maintaining it? I think the company should schedule down time per boat to continue keeping the hull clean and servicing equipment.
What I noticed was, both Zatara crew members saw the debris on the hulls they passed which means they were both accessing the hull condition of boats they walked past. I wondered about that and then realized that they were the ones responsible for keeping Zatara's hull clear. Keith is a good Captain.
I was just wandering what the future holds for your eldest son. He seems to have grown up in front of our eyes and certainly has so much to look forward to, I love watching your show. For the warmth and discovery and work that you put into your family and the TH-cam channel!
Going to start again. Sometimes when I speak the computer puts words that I never said lol. Thanks again for sharing another wonderful video with your family. I truly feel like I’m vacationing with you. What a wonderful way to spend life with your children all the hand on learning all the various locations that I’ve gone to. These are memories you will never forget. You are just the best parents in the world you make great videos you’re always smiling. I’m sure behind the scene sometimes there’s some yelling but that’s only natural. Keith is a wonderful dad I don’t think there’s anything that you guys can’t fix. You are so blessed. Sending hugs and blessings stay safe grandma Tampa
Was just watching the last episode, refreshed the page and this end uploaded, AWESOME!! The kids are a real credit to you, to say I'm jealous of the opportunities they have is an understatement! Been here since episode 20/25 and seeing the progression in the videos but magically you both look younger! ❤🏴
Well done Keith! And you are right, doing repairs yourself allows you to fully know your vessel and all its components. Renee not finding food items she wanted cracked me up! No cheese for nachos! For heaven sakes try local foods and modify your menus. I look forward to your next episodes of you exploring the Seychelles. Have fun Z crew!
NASTY COMMENT! Hey guys, we are from Michigan. My son and I have been watching since just before you bought the cat. He is six now and if he hears your intro music he comes running! We are jealous of your travels, but love seeing the beauty! Thanks for sharing your family, and giving me fun videos to watch with my son!
Thank you for inspiring me to go for life, not listening to life excuses but going for it and living life.. I leave tomorrow for the virgin Islands to take my first sailing course!!! Can't to see you on the waves
Love your videos. Keith, please be careful when approaching a roundabout: look to your right and only enter when no cars are approaching from that side. I thought you were going to get hit at 9:40.
I am subscribed to hundreds of channels, even produce videos for my own channel... your channel is by far my favorite channel. I get to explore the world right alongside with you all. Thank you for bringing us into your "livingroom."
Even though the deutsch connections have a good seal, I've found using a dab of dielectric grease on them goes a long way for connection longevity. Fair Winds!! Nice job on the install, especially like your back up control plan, very well thought out!!
A great life and experience for the kids as well as adults. If I were much younger I would hit the seas with my family. Glad you are comfortable doing your own maintenance.
Your Dad is a Boss! I discovered you through TikTok. Very nice videos, funny and entertaining. So cool you as family are doing such a great adventure together. keep doing such wonderful entertaining videos. Amazing!
Renee, how can you stand that man! All the work he puts you through. It's amazing the kids are so well adjusted. It just bogles the mind and Ken and Z like him too! Hope he doesn't throw a hissy fit for you not having melty cheese. Can't even fix a gear shifter! Hey Keith, those ZF's look sweet!
Hey Keith, I just wanted to say good job taking care of all the defaults that occure while sailing zatara, I notice you have shown 100% ownership, I started learning buying the necessary tools instead of relying on a mechanic that has a bad attitude, and waiting for other cars to be repaired before it's my turn I love watching your vlogs. Peace and love to you and your family stay safe and god bless
Still working my way through all the adventures from the start, and coming from first seeing Vagabond - Zingaro - Talisman, and when I’m all done, guess which I’ll reprise from the start again - no prizes! Something for the Home Schooling history lessons. At 11:12, - Renee “ Seychelles is a French nation". Well, they had it from 1756 for 40 years till ‘handing it’ to the Brits for the next 180 years until independence. First European landing was by Brit East India Company in 1609. At 13:00, - Jack “it’s a pretty strange thing”. The pedestrian crossings are known as Zebra crossings as seen all around the UK and continue from the days as a British Territory.
Watching this video made me miss the Seychelles all over again. It was funny to see the same roads and roundabouts that I drove everyday back in 2006. Thanks for sharing.
Love watching your show.. amazing you fix so much, grew up around boats and my Father did a lot - but not nearly as much. Also was a Grand Banks Troller, totally different. Much noiser .. lol!! Kept in the Long Island Sound.. You have a beautiful family - truly enjoy watching! You are an inspiration for doing what makes you happy!!
Hey guys saying hello from Tampa Bay Florida absolutely love the channel Been following you for 2 years. Some of the footage in your videos is absolutely breathtaking Always looking forward to new videos Always wishing you well.
"Sweating like a boar hog in a peach orchard", is where you were going with that I hope. I'm in SE New Mexico, West Texas really. Kinda of a common saying here. Really enjoy your videos. Renee does a very good job with her videography.
Ironically, I was just asking myself the same question before I saw this title! It seems like you actually enjoyed trouble shooting and fixing problems! I am amazed, for the most part, you seem to have the parts you need when you need them! Obviously you have thought though most every possibility! God has really gifted you! Speaking of God, I do keep you all in prayer, especially where you are now!
I haven't seen anything you can't fix....more power to you.....Seychelles is definitely beautiful...I have always wanted to go there but will only get to see it through your eyes....thanks so much....take care and stay safe!!!
Love the content from FT WORTH TEXAS. At this rate of stockpiling parts, Keith is going to need a support boat to haul them all in the near future! Just kidding, completely get it, stay safe and happy cruising!
Maybe a bit late since you already ran the cables, but here's a tip for any future cables and/or wires. Run a piece of cord or line as well to leave in as a drag. When it comes to wires and cables, pulling is easier than pushing. It makes turns easier also. Gene
Im back!!!! GOD I missed this... fresh cup o' kona, and I am cleared by all doctors to watch! The song came on and bam.. .I was in a beautiful marina with the Whitakers.. watching Keith fix stuff... (sip.... *sigh*)...
First time commenter - I jumped over after catching up on videos from the Wynns and have been slowly catching up. Renee - I'm an Aussie in the USA and have been in the US for 20+ years. I just wanted to acknowledge your comments about the Seychelles not giving into the hysterica of the world right now and being open to private yachts. And thank you to you and Keith for your refreshingly positive comments about freedom and living life and not being afraid. It's easy to see how entrapped people are when you're able to look at it from an outside perspective. Thank you for sharing your family! Many blessings to all of you.
Great video. Thanks! Looks like you guys berthed next to the Moorings fleet in Eden Island Marina. Have a look if you can see Nkosinati, a Leopard 40. Thats the vessel we purchased and will take over in a couple of month! Keep up the good work!
I love to watch all your videos. Clean family fun and hard work, Keith!! I hope you are teaching your guys how to do some of this. Have fun and keep the videos coming and we'll keep watching and liking!! Yes, we are subscribed!!
Keith, Thanks for making mundane repair jobs fun. Thursdays are looked forwarded to days because we get to catch up with the Z Crew. Stay safe and keep the wind at your back. Happy Easter to all of you, David
Always look forward to Thursday. This is hands down the best sailing channel on TH-cam. I just started watching your journey from the beginning “AGAIN”.
Nice to see you all still floating and touring the waters of the world, anything manufactured will break and knowing how to repair things works better than making a bad happening go worse
I have nothing bad to say about my favorite boat mechanic to watch. Good job, Keith! (You did answer one of my questions about how hard it was to run wiring in the catamaran.)
Was watching some past vids..and you were working on waterpump.. used piece of paper towl and screwdriver to clean out housing around shaft, mentioned ya didnt want to scratch shaft..use your plier handles, they are covered so less likely to scratch..if they fit opening. May help...may not..lol love show
Lots of boring time on a boat. If you're a handy person (like Keith) it gives you something to do. Hell, I love fixing stuff, and am pretty darn good at it. If the Z crew ever wants a free handyman for a month or so, find me a cabin on that boat. I'd love to get away from the wife and kids for a bit.:)
I am so proud to watch a couple that figured out how to raise a loving family, together. Love you all. God is good.
👍😊
Amen
Hey Sailing Zatara. Long time listener, first time caller. Needed to let you know that you guys make a difference for all the folks that watch your videos and follow your adventures. I know you do for me. Thanks for doing all that you do and being who you are. God bless.
I love how Keith explains things for those of us academically challenging.
Your channel deserves 1mil subscribers for the effort you put into these videos.
Very relaxing to watch
Keith, I think I just realized why I enjoy watching you so much, we’re kindred spirits! I have been watching you guys since the beginning. Thank you for taking us along, and keep your family adventures coming!😊
Really enjoying seeing you in more videos Renee! I know you had previously mentioned that you weren't super comfortable in front of the camera but you work so hard so you deserve the fame as well!
I love the fact Jack can help his Dad out doing repairs, but needed his Dad's help to peel a prawn!
Teenager logic 😆😆
After living on the water for several years, I am surprised that just came up. I guess prawns are a different kind of fishing, and perhaps you need a license for the nets, but I thought the small commercial fishermen would be selling their catch around the marinas and even anchorages.
Legs and shell are the best part!! "It's not complicated"...then almost gets hit on the roundabout...love you Keith!! :-)

Keith is so talented! Wonderful family. Kids are smiling and happy. 💔 Love your vids!! Good job Mom!!
Just found this Channel and I must say you guy's are the definition of "Living The Life".

Such a great video! I'm laughing when Keith says, "I'm sweating like a ..." and Renee cuts the video!! 😂 You guys are hilarious!
👏😁 I've been watching them for several years, and I'm sure what Keith said was not safe for their TH-cam channel!! 😁
Lol, that was good.... I ended up finishing his phrase here at home.... Couldn't help myself.

Yeah, I smiled too. Two nice young fellers.
They have been taught well by their parents!

Nice job on the control replacement and thinking forward on the replacement set if needed.

I look forward to your next episodes of you exploring the Seychelles.
Have fun Z crew!
Always enviouse of the the adventure you have with your kids...unforgettable for your children and you.

Watching this video made me miss the Seychelles all over again. It was funny to see the same roads and roundabouts that I drove everyday back in 2006. Thanks for sharing.
finn the smartass when he missed the skateboard flip and went directly into doing pushups!! quick thinker that one is!!

So happy yall have completed another safe voyage love this video !!!
"Sweating like a boar hog in a peach orchard", is where you were going with that I hope. I'm in SE New Mexico, West Texas really. Kinda of a common saying here. Really enjoy your videos. Renee does a very good job with her videography.
I noticed ya'll using atm's in different countries. What is the best bank to use for foreign travel? Which do ya'll use?

Great job on the ZF control install Keith!! Amazing video as always Renee!! Enjoy and have fun out there!
Im back!!!! GOD I missed this... fresh cup o' kona, and I am cleared by all doctors to watch! The song came on and bam.. .I was in a beautiful marina with the Whitakers.. watching Keith fix stuff... (sip.... *sigh*)...
Great video Keith, you are one handy guy to have on the boat! Glad you all made it safely to the Seychelles!
Keith, you are very good at figuring out issues to keep everyone happy
First time commenter - I jumped over after catching up on videos from the Wynns and have been slowly catching up.
Renee - I'm an Aussie in the USA and have been in the US for 20+ years. I just wanted to acknowledge your comments about the Seychelles not giving into the hysterica of the world right now and being open to private yachts. And thank you to you and Keith for your refreshingly positive comments about freedom and living life and not being afraid. It's easy to see how entrapped people are when you're able to look at it from an outside perspective.
Thank you for sharing your family! Many blessings to all of you.
Hahaha. Jack baffled how to properly eat a prawn 😂. Dad's comes to the rescue. Love it.
Great video. Thanks! Looks like you guys berthed next to the Moorings fleet in Eden Island Marina. Have a look if you can see Nkosinati, a Leopard 40. Thats the vessel we purchased and will take over in a couple of month!
Keep up the good work!
I just stumbled across y’all’s channel. How inspiring. I need a boat now. Love what you guys are doing. Never stop
I love to watch all your videos. Clean family fun and hard work, Keith!! I hope you are teaching your guys how to do some of this. Have fun and keep the videos coming and we'll keep watching and liking!! Yes, we are subscribed!!
Hello from Seattle!! You guys have a great channel keep you the great work!
Keith,
Thanks for making mundane repair jobs fun.
Thursdays are looked forwarded to days because we get to catch up with the Z Crew.
Stay safe and keep the wind at your back.
Happy Easter to all of you,
David
Keith IS Superman! Even though the skate park was janky, they still rocked it!! See ya next time on the water!!
Always look forward to Thursday. This is hands down the best sailing channel on TH-cam. I just started watching your journey from the beginning “AGAIN”.
Ok, I gotta say it again, you really stepped up the quality of the videos! So impressive!
Nice to see you all still floating and touring the waters of the world, anything manufactured will break and knowing how to repair things works better than making a bad happening go worse
It’s true how handy the man of the boat is! Congratulations on the crossing!
Hello from Houston Tx, I just wanted to say Thank you for taking me on the adventures of a life time.
Like your family and all the places you go to. Take care and enjoy your time there. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.
I have nothing bad to say about my favorite boat mechanic to watch. Good job, Keith! (You did answer one of my questions about how hard it was to run wiring in the catamaran.)
nice to see you guys in my country, have a good time and enjoy the seychelles air
Looks' like another beautiful place. THanks for sharing
Looks like an awesome place! Can't wait to see the next one on the hook.
Was watching some past vids..and you were working on waterpump.. used piece of paper towl and screwdriver to clean out housing around shaft, mentioned ya didnt want to scratch shaft..use your plier handles, they are covered so less likely to scratch..if they fit opening. May help...may not..lol love show
Love your channel.
To all the people that think living on a boat is all fun just try it for a week
''Work work and more work.
Unless you are Jeff Bezos 😁
There has to be some fun in there, else no one would do it. The fun in-between all the work must be a lot more in value to balance it out.
Lots of boring time on a boat. If you're a handy person (like Keith) it gives you something to do. Hell, I love fixing stuff, and am pretty darn good at it. If the Z crew ever wants a free handyman for a month or so, find me a cabin on that boat. I'd love to get away from the wife and kids for a bit.:)
depends what your definition of fun is
Nice install by the way. Truly appreciate your technical abilities.
