- Joi Barua (Assamese: জয় বৰুৱা) is an Indian singer and music composer. Born in Digboi, Assam, he started his career by singing advertising jingles and later did playback singing for Hindi, Assamese and Telugu films. He is also the lead vocalist of the band Joi.[1] Barua has a mixed musical style incorporating elements of rock, soul, jazz, folk and world music.

Joi Da always inspire everyone to go ahead. I still remember when i first met him in jorhat in 2009 ,as i love music too ,i still remember he said " music kori jua, bhal hoise beya hoise nebhabiba khali kori jua, homaj khon thik hobo " and the tea he made for me.. Thank you Joi Da. A very down to earth person i ever met.

Being an avid follower of Joe Rogan's podcast, I can say you guys are doing an amazing job at revamping the podcast scenario in Assam.
I have planted more than 10 trees in the last 5 years from the beginning of lockdown. But all are fruit trees. Aam, kothaal, poniol, moduri aam, khejur, lechu, nahor etc.
