Perfect for the song though “not gonna stop, I’m gonna carry on” But one up side is that she was obviously singing live and she gets no credit for that.
I saw the rebel heart tour first show at the O2 arena where this happened, when she performed this song it was literally silence at the entrance of the song when her cape came off flawlessly the roar of the audience was so loud and the look on her face was a like fist pump in the air. One thing it shows she is a true professional and icon
She was dragged by her neck by the cape backwards...could have ended very badly. Her vocals are so shaken after the fall. I watched this live and was so upset for her. She obviously felt so humiliated and still carried on, singing live, dancing in her late 50s. Such a trooper. Love her so much.
I cried after this because she put her soul in every performance and it was almost imposible that something like this happen, and it did. But after this i felt so pround about her because she continued with the show even if her neck was hurting. She is still the biggest star in this planet.

As you said, most people would not have been able to carry on after that mishap - not least because of the shock. As she has got older, there is sometimes a lack of warmth towards her which is undeserved and, I suspect, sexist.

I’m 39. I had just turned 20 when this event I’m telling you about happened ... I was a Ballet Dancer on stage for a long time. I have never fell on stage though. Just before rehearsal though one day, I was running just a tad late ... I literally fell down the stairs out of my flat. I got up ... and was like ... “I’M OK!!!” During the fall though ... I was like “OH F***.” Ballet Training teaches your body something.
