My parents bought this same identical car used in 1960. I was absolutely ga ga over it. My Uncle also had the same identical car which he bought new. The only difference is that ours had power windows. In 61, my dad got orders for Korea and my mom didn't want to drive it all the way back to Michigan from Ft. Lewis, Washington with 4 kids including a brand new baby so they sold it. To me, it was like a death in the family. I'll never forget for as long as I live how proud I was of that car and how much I loved it.
I would far sooner be inside the lush gorgeous green interior of a 1955 Pontiac Star Chief Catalina than in the bland, mostly black, boring cabin of a 2020 Mercedes ... great video fellas. Les Griffiths Australia

"Ach du lieber, mein schatz"!!! Very excellent video on a gorgeous old "classic" Pontiac, a real "lustmobile"! Those beautiful white walls are the "whitest" I've ever seen! So many have an "orangy tint"! The car's colors are beautiful! Also, your "music" is "first rate", very very nice!! I was 15 when this car came out. Fine job with your video!!! "Gesundheit"!
I would be curious to know what people generally thought of these when new. I love classic Pontiac and this car is beautiful, but around this time GM was considering eliminating the division. Or so I've read.

My brother has a 4 door.mint..for $11.000.-had it for 10yr's ❤i was so surprised he let me drive it. 😊

Parking lamp lenses need cleaning and clear amber bulbs are correct but otherwise a BEAUTY!

The addition of Pontiac first V8 in 1955 bolstered sales quite a bit over 1954. GM didn't feel the need to eliminate the brand until the 2009 model.
What are those round badges on the lower front fenders? They never camewith those as far as I can recall from that period.
i could be wrong but earlier in the video they seem to be tweety bird badges like the floor mats
