no i actually love this. the gold and teal go beautifully together and make it appear extravagent and inviting at the same time. doing the wallpaper like you did, in blocks with trim, is something im going to have to remember because its Perfect for making something look good and Fancy without spending a buttload of money / gives me the opportunity to use scraps. using a metallic, gold in this case, really helps make the most of the light coming in the window, making the room feel so much brighter.
love that the teal becomes more vibrant green as it becomes darker/sunset outside, thats cool. as for the neighbor house view, lets just say if i were your neighbor and i took daily walks through the neighborhood id be interested in whats happening, or at the very least think your curtains are prettier than like 90% of houses in the area.
So, I'm sure I wasn't supposed to *actually* find out anything about the art print... but I did it anyway. From my brief googling I found that it's called The Soul of the Rose (also sometimes called My Sweet Rose) by John William Waterhouse. Painted in 1908, it depicts the mortal Psyche smelling the roses in the Greek god Eros' garden (thanks Wikipedia). I'm sure it was very influential in the work of Frans le Bedonkydonk though, the similarities are unmistakable.
Your painting is "The Soul of the Rose" by John William Waterhouse. :) He was a famous Victorian painter, so it's a perfect fit. His painting of the lady of Shalott (from King Arthur) was one of my favorites for a long time. BTW, your room is so beautiful. I think if it had just been all wallpaper it wouldn't look as good as it does with the trim and paint.
As a current "future daughter" I appreciate the saving. As a teen tons of my clothes had been my mothers, and some were from her friends who didn't have daughters. I loooove that painting! It’s by J.W. Waterhouse and if you haven’t seen his work I highly recommend it! His romantic art is my absolute favorite! His mermaid painting is gorgeous too.
If I may say I think Micarah is the perfect example of what an influencer should aspire to be a talented artist, master of her craft, a teacher, a comedian and personally what I like the second most, she only minds her own business ❤
I legit cried at the "The older the treasure, the more worth protecting it is" moment with your dad, because it made me think of my mom. ❤ Also, thank you for being a Tewers guide to the right path and helping me find the motivation to get back to decluttering my own place.
I think we can all agree that the ~"Victorian Era" was peak in design internally, externally, in fashion, architecture and style of all kinds. There have been moments of brilliance since then but for a few solid decades there was awesomeness in every facet and it is yet to be surpassed for all-around excellence. Honourable mentions of course to Edwardian and Georgian styles but once a lady was on the throne no holds were barred in the pursuit of luxury in style. Your dressing room is spectacular. Congratulations babe, yet another dream realised.
I was already shipping Micarah with the wax figure sculptor, but then I noticed how she said she was single WHEN SHE BOUGHT THE HOUSE, which means... She waassss single!

I'm moving soon and have been uncertain just what color I want to paint my bedroom walls. That teal is so gorgeous I think I have my answer. As a lover of artistic maximalism and vibrant color, I think your house is an absolute dream.
Teal can be a really oppressive color for a room if it isn’t broken up!! It is beautiful but I’d highly recommend having woodwork or a lot of stuff on the walls to break up all that vibrant color.
@@kingly. I have a lot of wall art, fortunately. Most of it's in storage because my current place is so small, but I can hang it all up again when I move.

Been going to the dentist a lot lately and it's so enjoyable to see a renovation that did not involve copious amounts of beige/light gray/white. Colors exist! This turned out gorgeous!
I have a couple of Renoir prints hanging in my bedroom. I think I want to revamp my space and make it an impressionist paradise. Your home is so beautiful, Micarah!

the room turned out absolutely gorgeous. I'm about half way done trying to reno my bedroom to look like medieval fantasy guildhall but now i' feel inspired to switch focus and go Victorian themed. those teal walls and wallpaper panels are so pretty too~ i love a gold and teal colour combo
I did the very same last month, prepping for my incredibly-rare-here-in-the-UK air conditioning installation, and it took four days, 11 giant heavy-duty bin bags, and multiple injuries to get everything clear. I am in recovery from an 8 year battle with addiction, and stuff just kinda…piled up. I can absolutely tell you all, it’s SO worth it. My bedroom is now a gorgeous, Victorian-themed, chilly sanctuary 💛

My mom had early onset dementia and is obsessed with buying stuffed animals and sleeping with them. They help with her sundowners as well 💔
@@ElinWinbladworks with them as well since most people took care of a baby at some point in life.
no i actually love this. the gold and teal go beautifully together and make it appear extravagent and inviting at the same time. doing the wallpaper like you did, in blocks with trim, is something im going to have to remember because its Perfect for making something look good and Fancy without spending a buttload of money / gives me the opportunity to use scraps. using a metallic, gold in this case, really helps make the most of the light coming in the window, making the room feel so much brighter.
love that the teal becomes more vibrant green as it becomes darker/sunset outside, thats cool. as for the neighbor house view, lets just say if i were your neighbor and i took daily walks through the neighborhood id be interested in whats happening, or at the very least think your curtains are prettier than like 90% of houses in the area.
god the wallpaper you chose, the way its matte/shiny depending on the pattern, its so good! you really highlighted it to its potential!
oh? a planet where they send. murders? or murderers? oh??
ooooooh the chessboard table! thing! i love that!
I came here to say this 💕
I bought a print of that painting back in 1997...and I still have it and love it! It's perfect for tying together the teal and orange! ❤❤🎉❤❤
Yes!!! I love his work. I have a print of his Ophelia painting in my room and often I gaze at it lovingly for extended periods of time.
This skirt looks like a vintage lamp shade in the best way possible✨
THANK YOU I MADE A LITTLE PATTERN FOR IT AFTERWARD AND NAMED IT "LAMPSHADE SKIRT"!!!
Somehow everything looks good on her!
Living for the pop of red over your chandelier, and sending my fullest support for the shaming note to whoever rips up those floors one day.
thank you! felt risky in the moment so I'm glad you approve :)
(also thank u 4 the future shaming)
As a current "future daughter" I appreciate the saving. As a teen tons of my clothes had been my mothers, and some were from her friends who didn't have daughters. Now about half my clothes were my grandmothers before me. And I have a tote of my great grandmother's clothes and few pieces of my greatgreatgrandmothers which are fascinating to see and examine and pattern draft off of 😊
That teal is so soothing i think it added 10 years to my lifespan
I absolutely cannot tell you how much I love that the first half of this video was just a big Easter egg hunt of all past videos. It just makes my heart happy.☺️
awwww. u a real one
Aw thank you Micarah🤭🥹
It's nice to see Micarah sort of flirting with a new guy and looking happy.
Is Dan her boyfriend?? He’s super cute I ship. They’re the perfect amount of weird for each other lmaoo
you can tell from his art that's he's also wierd and artistic 😅 I'd think they'd get along regardless
@@chileanyways196 I need it.
@@chileanyways196 check 11:55 on her last video (the kylie jenner collection) when her boyfriend reads her a poem... then check the voice on this video at around 15:33 lol.
Dan IS her boyfriend!! that sneaky sneaky woman did it again, nonchalantly introducing her boyfriend in the video lol.
I knew she was dating someone but my stupid brain didn't put 2 and 2 together. I was wondering why she was so awkwardly flirting with this guy if she had a boyfriend.
The energy is back
This made my heart leap
Love the house you bought! The renovations you made in the room you featured! The stained glass looking additions to the windows. Also the curtains you made to go with them! Plus the way you did the walls and ceiling! Fantastic! Enjoy! Love from Indiana!
Watched your old declutter from 4 years ago cos youtube recommended it to me. And here i am watching this now... wow.
One of the best things about your skills improving so much is tht youre more confident now. Damn your home is beautiful too. Blessings to u and yours
13:35 this is a core memory for that little girl, painting the floor of princess house with the sweetest old man and a bird!
I've never left a comment before a video premiere. This feels like sitting in the chatter of a movie theater before the movie starts.
I'm guessing there'll be a plot twist @ 3:03. Those numbers kinda spell out "WOW" If you turn your phone sideways and read it vertically. 303 WOW 303 Do you see it?
you just blew my mind
WOAH
I mean there kinda was she said something looked sloppy on her and then decided to keep it
I absolutely freaked out when the snake part came! After hearing about this snake for so long, this was a legendary moment.
Micarah, you are an inspiration, and not just because our first names rhyme. Your boundless creativity gives me hope that the world will still remain in color and not disappear into endless shades of beige, gray, and white.
I gasped when the saw the room transformation. I’m with your Mom on this one. It is a place to bask in. To bask in its glory. Beyond beautiful! ❤ we need more of this and less of beige modern
The curtain-born skirt is so pretty 😍
Thanks!!!!! feel free to borrow any time!!
@@MicarahTewersstop it you are too sweet.
I loooove that painting! It’s by J.W. Waterhouse and if you haven’t seen his work I highly recommend it! His romantic art is my absolute favorite! His mermaid painting is gorgeous too.
I love his art!
My favorite painter as well. I have The Crystal Ball and have Circe Invidiosa in my shopping cart!
Check out his painting The Shrine….lovely brunette maiden smelling red rose in a vase, at a memorial….it’s lovely
If I may say I think Micarah is the perfect example of what an influencer should aspire to be a talented artist, master of her craft, a teacher, a comedian and personally what I like the second most, she only minds her own business ❤
Seeing someone bring a home back to its victorian glory always heals something in me. You are doing us proud
The Gereon silhouette looks AMAZING. I rewatched that clip 4 times because mine eyes believed it was CARVED. So pretty
You're one of very few public figures that truly understands the appropriate levels of zany and colorful we as a public need. ❤ Beautifully done!
I legit cried at the "The older the treasure, the more worth protecting it is" moment with your dad, because it made me think of my mom. ❤
Also, thank you for being a Tewers guide to the right path and helping me find the motivation to get back to decluttering my own place.
Oh Micarah that is GRAND! There's no other word for it- it's perfect, you did a fantastic job! That's amazing!
not me crying at 17:52 when she talks about protecting old treasure because its worth it, AND THEN its her dad.
I was already shipping Micarah with the wax figure sculptor, but then I noticed how she said she was single WHEN SHE BOUGHT THE HOUSE, which means... She waassss single!
he also was then still around to paint a dove on her chair... WE HAVE A SOFT LAUNCH PEOPLE
she said in another video a whilde ago that she was dating again
@@elliganange ooh I love the imagery!!
@@sweetmarasme Aahh, I missed that one!!
That snake mention at the beginning was the ultimate Chekhov’s Gun. Chapeau. 🎩
You would not BELIEVE how happy I was to hear you say “have you come to watch me dance” again your bedroom declotoring video is my favorite video of yours
Those window decals are amazing! Your floor looks so good. Everything does.I love the ottoman. I'm so impressed. The room is GRAND. There's nothing you can't do!
The room is so elegant and extravagant now, feel like the ones who've built the property would be happy to see this room too
My favorite part of your videos is how you bring across a sense of community, whether it is with family, friends, animals, or other locals! It is heartwarming to see these snippets of people helping out with a project or just joyfully being around :)
I'm moving soon and have been uncertain just what color I want to paint my bedroom walls. That teal is so gorgeous I think I have my answer. As a lover of artistic maximalism and vibrant color, I think your house is an absolute dream.
Oh my gosh! This is so so lovely to read! Thank you 😊
Teal can be a really oppressive color for a room if it isn’t broken up!! It is beautiful but I’d highly recommend having woodwork or a lot of stuff on the walls to break up all that vibrant color.
@@MicarahTewers Your videos are a consistent bright spot in my life, even when things have been dark. Seriously, thank you for being you.
@@kingly. I have a lot of wall art, fortunately. Most of it's in storage because my current place is so small, but I can hang it all up again when I move.
@@FunSizeSpamberguesa That's awesome! Much luck with the move!
This room is genuinely one of the prettiest rooms I've ever seen. You did such a good job with it. The walls are probably my favorite
The way you put it all together is amazing. Love how you just try things out and do new things. Even if it does not work out immediately you do make it work!
It is wild having been a fan of yours for so many years, knowing about your snake, and then getting closure on it out of nowhere
Been going to the dentist a lot lately and it's so enjoyable to see a renovation that did not involve copious amounts of beige/light gray/white. Colors exist!
This turned out gorgeous!
the positive energy this video radiates makes me so happy. she seems so at ease right now and its so lovely to see.
Yay! Cleaning my room with my (fantasy) good buddy Micarah!
Maybe we'll talk about Met Gala outfits or smth...
Micarah and her family and friends are so extremely cute. These vlogs are always such a joy.
I have a couple of Renoir prints hanging in my bedroom. I think I want to revamp my space and make it an impressionist paradise. Your home is so beautiful, Micarah!
That's the most gorgeous room remodel I have ever seen!!! And the skirt!!!! And the boyfriend?! What a video!!
ITS SO GOOD TO SEE YOU HAPPY LIKE GENUINELY YOU CURE MY SOUL
I know normally you opt for vinyl like flooring when you reno but I'm so glad to see you put in those lovely real hardwood floors!! and keep the tile by the fireplace!
matching your skirt to your curtains is wonderful. i have upholstery fabric left from my couch, and i might as well make it into a tie.
Micarah’s videos are the only TH-cam videos that my ADHD, brain rot mind can sit down and focus on. Make dopamine levels go yaaaay ❤
Seeing you two together really warmed my heart. I pray that you will stay together and that you find everything good you’re searching for. Best of luck!!💗
Ahh, it's so beautiful! The fact you even added the Victorian-style vents was such a great touch. And the future-proofing of your floor with the spiteful note? Chef's kiss.
You’ve come such a long way. I remember following you back when you made less than 10 videos. But now you’ve moved into a well deserved home and make every dream come true
this is the first video of yours I have ever seen, and i sat here completely enthralled. never have i been so facinated, entertained, and impressed when watching someone do a home reno. a true comedian and design genius
I really can't comprehend how creative you are. it looks amazing! Micarah, you are such a creative soul and I wish you all the best in life.
I could watch micarah redecorate anything honestly. They should give her a tv show and let her do the white house
In this day and age, Micarah is literally a blessing and joy to watch, she always makes me feel better about life. 💜😄
the room turned out absolutely gorgeous.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE how the room turned out! That teal is so beautiful and your floors!! 😍 Truly a gorgeous space befitting a lovely Victorian home. 🎉
Thanks so much! 😊 this means SO MUCH TO ME
