I have recently learned that it is because, emotion can cause the pupils to dilate, which then changes the position of the pigments in your Iris, causing the color to change.

Hey! I also have heterochromia. My eyes are a bit dark so it is not easy to see so it was quite the surprise to discover in my teens. And according to my eye tests, I have nearly perfect sight. It is a bit annoying though because it can be difficult to see, people sometimes don't believe me when I tell them.
I’ve always gotten compliments for my eyes for how..I guess unique they are? Like they have blue around the outside and brown in the middle so it blends into a green from a little distance. I think all eyes look cool close up. They have different patterns in them and freckles, too. I have green eyes with a dark blue outter ring, a yellow ring by the pupil, and 2 different patterns. They're unique like home made marbles.

I would describe my eyes like an avocado. They have a dark green ring around them on the outside, my inner eye are a bright lime green that are almost yellow. Then my pupil is the pit of the avocado🤣
Mine have varied over the years between gray, green, and blue… Which I thought was weird until I got in the military and met a Norwegian guy who could shift his eyecolor at will. His were green when he was happy, blue when he was upset. I guess it works similar to a blush function, or something along those lines. Because albinism is the lack of melanine. When they lack of melanine it also affect their eyes too bcs just what this video says, eyes has this melanine which make it brown. So even if you were born from black couple and you has albinism, your eyes become blue too bcs the lack of melanine.
humans with albinism actually can’t have red eyes. they just get the red eye flare effect on cameras more easily. actual albinos have really pure blue eye colour. also they tend to have worse eye sight and many go blind with age. albino animals like rabbits on the other hand can have red eyes, and i think it’s mostly only herbivores for some reason, and i have no idea how that works.

That depends on how you define colour. Does it have to be pigment for it to count or is it whatever your brain says it is. After all there is no way to bypass the brain and all of its biases as far as I am aware.
My dad has hazel, mum and sister have brown: I have eyes the colour of oxidised copper with the two “lesser” known variants of heterochromia. I have dark contrasting outer rings , some sectional yellow patches and an inner iris pupil ring too which is why chose my defining colour to be something which gets “less dark” when exposed to the elements. They also change between blue, green and grey depending on the light.
Just because something is common doesn't mean it's not beautiful. Think about dandelions or roses, they are common but also beautiful. Also if you take the time to examine the patterns in your eyes you will see what I mean
Can you do a video about unusual eye colors? Mine are navy. Like, they're almost as intensely colored as a 16, but they're blue, not brown. When I was born they were almost black. (My baby pictures aren't cute...) There are tons of really interesting eye colors, and it would be fun to learn more about them.

So, the colour of my eye changes depending on the weather. For exemple, in very sunny days, they are extremely green, but in a cloudy day, they become grey, almost transparent. Does that mean that the coulour is perceived different, or the particles react differently depeding on the conditions of the lighting?

This is very interesting! I have a question though: How does someone get two different coloured eyes? My eyes are both different and neither are one pure colour. The outer part of my eyes are a forest green and the inside are a ring of warm brown. So like a more saturated version of 7 on the outside (think like the colour of green moss), and then around 14 on the inside. I believe that counts as Central Heterochromia, which is neat. They look brown until you actually look closely and see they're more a deep forest green with a ring of brown in the middle around my pupils.

My wife and eye both have darker brown eyes but our daughter has steel grey eyes, on her side of the family this eye colour has appeared in every second generation for about 8-10 generations.
@R RQ It probably is, yes, because there would be an insane amount of people in a 10 generation long family tree. But it's not *impossible* to keep track. (Another hole in his story: every generation adds new genes to the family tree, so a regularly resurfacing family specific trait like that is just a stupid idea)

My daughter's eyes are like that. The pediatrician sent her to an optometrist because her eyes are so dark she couldn't do the basic eye exam. She had to be examined with the specialist equipment to actually see anything. Her school always sends failing eye tests because they say they can't pass her if they can't see anything. Fortunately, the optometrist days she has perfect vision and healthy eyes 😊

Everyones eyes are brown in the same way everyone was born a girl.. While it's technically true, there's more to it than that.. Blue eyes have the least pigment, but all eyes have pigment and it's all brown. The diagram shown is sort of misleading, and because of that you're just going to seem weird to people stating a "fact" that while true isn't exactly congrats.

From your explanation it's sounds like you have a central heterochromia with having a brown center and different outer eye color. It's very normal. My husband has a central heterochromia the outside is blue and the center is like a goldish color.
I’d describe my eyes as a total solar eclipse. I have blue eyes (the sky) with a golden ring around my pupil, that jets out and slightly infiltrates the rest of my iris (the sun’s corona around the moon) I just came up with that analogy and I’m more proud of my eyes than I have ever been

Pretty much my whole family have green eyes, both on my mother's and my father's side. I didn't actually know green eyes were rare until I was a teenager because I was surrounded by them.
My eyes are dark blue-gray. How they look depends on ambient lighting. Outdoors they have a blueish cast, but with indoor lights they're purely gray. Eye color is a fascinating thing!

Mine have varied over the years between gray, green, and blue… Which I thought was weird until I got in the military and met a Norwegian guy who could shift his eyecolor at will. His were green when he was happy, blue when he was upset. I guess it works similar to a blush function, or something along those lines. He was never really clear on it, but damn it was awesome to see!

Because albinism is the lack of melanine. When they lack of melanine it also affect their eyes too bcs just what this video says, eyes has this melanine which make it brown.
So even if you were born from black couple and you has albinism, your eyes become blue too bcs the lack of melanine.
humans with albinism actually can’t have red eyes. they just get the red eye flare effect on cameras more easily. actual albinos have really pure blue eye colour. also they tend to have worse eye sight and many go blind with age. albino animals like rabbits on the other hand can have red eyes, and i think it’s mostly only herbivores for some reason, and i have no idea how that works.

My dad has hazel, mum and sister have brown: I have eyes the colour of oxidised copper with the two “lesser” known variants of heterochromia. I have dark contrasting outer rings , some sectional yellow patches and an inner iris pupil ring too which is why chose my defining colour to be something which gets “less dark” when exposed to the elements. They also change between blue, green and grey depending on the light.

Can you do a video about unusual eye colors? Mine are navy. Like, they're almost as intensely colored as a 16, but they're blue, not brown. When I was born they were almost black. (My baby pictures aren't cute...) There are tons of really interesting eye colors, and it would be fun to learn more about them.

So, the colour of my eye changes depending on the weather. For exemple, in very sunny days, they are extremely green, but in a cloudy day, they become grey, almost transparent. Does that mean that the coulour is perceived different, or the particles react differently depeding on the conditions of the lighting?
I personally think based on the enviroment the colour is perceived differently, it doesn't change per se

The outer part of my eyes are a forest green and the inside are a ring of warm brown. So like a more saturated version of 7 on the outside (think like the colour of green moss), and then around 14 on the inside. I believe that counts as Central Heterochromia, which is neat. They look brown until you actually look closely and see they're more a deep forest green with a ring of brown in the middle around my pupils.

My eyes are definitely a 16. In fact as a kid I thought my eyes were legitimately black until I learned that wasn’t possible.

My daughter's eyes are like that. The pediatrician sent her to an optometrist because her eyes are so dark she couldn't do the basic eye exam. She had to be examined with the specialist equipment to actually see anything. Her school always sends failing eye tests because they say they can't pass her if they can't see anything. Fortunately, the optometrist days she has perfect vision and healthy eyes 😊

Everyones eyes are brown in the same way everyone was born a girl.. While it's technically true, there's more to it than that.. Blue eyes have the least pigment, but all eyes have pigment and it's all brown. The diagram shown is sort of misleading, and because of that you're just going to seem weird to people stating a "fact" that while true isn't exactly congrats.

From your explanation it's sounds like you have a central heterochromia with having a brown center and different outer eye color. It's very normal. My husband has a central heterochromia the outside is blue and the center is like a goldish color.
