Since 1934, the Masters Tournament has been home to some of golf’s greatest moments. Amidst blooming azaleas, towering pines and flowering dogwoods, the first full week of April ushers in a stage unique to golf and to sport. Over four days and 72 holes, the smallest field in major championship golf competes for a chance to capture the Green Jacket and a place in Masters history.

Justin Rose is a class act! Loved the sincere hug and obvious props he gave his Ryder cup teammate. Sportsmanship at the highest level.
Definitely. Rose will get another green jacket for sure, Bryson probably will too. But Rose was genuinely proud of him.

@@juismac - agree on Rose, what a class act. And one heckuva Ryder Cup player, unbelievable. So happy for Rory though
Amazing to watch someone work for so long achieve their goal, you can see all the emotion. Congratz Rory!
@twobricksquad I'm as happy for him as I was for Tiger in 2019. He definitely earned it
@@saviorself1164yes very reminiscent of Tiger ‘19
@twobricksquad nobody will remember the 11 years it took now. He has cemented himself among the golf's elite. He has won so much, of not a Major in the past 11 years. 3 times FedEx Cup!
All the more intense and uplifting BECAUSE of the time and toil it took to get there.
His caddy is his best friend, they met when Rory was 7. Rory will take care of his caddy 💯
I am 79 years old and have followed the PGA tour since the 1950's I was one of the early members pf "Arnie's Army". Over the years I have been happy about certain players winning certain tournaments. I do not remember being more happy than I was today that Rory won the Masters and became the sixth player to win the career Grand Slam. He is my favorite foreign player, and the emotion that he showed the world today was wonderful! CONGRATULATIONS RORY!!!
Agreed. I loved Rory when he came on the scene and I’ve been wishing he would win the Masters. I’m so glad he’s done it. Clearly he has desperately wanted to win this tournament so I’m ecstatic that won.
@@glennstevens4259 I agree as well. You can see the relief, happiness, in his eyes, his walk.. everything. He deserves it. He wanted it so bad it took a long time to get it, which makes it even more awesome.

Shout out to Jim Nantz for being such a professional and letting the moment unfold on camera without over-talking the scene. Well done, as always Mr. Nantz!
Nantz is top notch
🔥 Well done, Rory! One of the Greatest Ever! So proud! A testament to “Never Giving Up”!🎉
Yeah, a whole control room tell him what to say and when to speak! They have the footage of when Tiger won it at the 2019 masters
as per usual!
Nantz used to be hated on by many. Never understood why.
Never been happier for someone I don't know and never will. And CBS is the king of capturing golf's memorable moments.
Best celebration I have ever seen....the emotion was through the roof
And perhaps CBS should just stick to sport and nothing else.

What a moment. Total redemption for a tremendous player and decent man. And a full-on in-your-face to all his haters
I bet Bryson will be there to congratulate Rory on his win...

Don't ever let anyone tell you sports are insignificant. This is beautiful. Heartache, pain, hard work, and eventually triumph.
Absolutely, sports are such a microcosm of life. They teach us great lessons that w can use day to day. Rory’s last round and really his entire week at Augusta is a treatise on perseverance.

The production, camera direction, commentary (and lack there-of) of Rory's victory walk deserves an award. Absolute chills watching it.
Please stop!
Love how the commentators step aside and don’t say anything in the moments after. Allows viewers to experience it like you are there, brilliant 👍

Exactly what I was going to say. So I will give you the honor :)
Indeed! The shot felt like it was from a film. Kudos to the cameraman.
yea really. he must have been having an out of body experience with all that weight lifted.
It was like being on the roller coaster of emotions right there with him walking.
There are two times I've cried watching sport. 2019 Masters Tiger's win, and today. Was an unforgettable ride hanging on to every shot of Rory's final round. He's done himself, his family, his country, and the PGA proud.

I'm not sure it's only twice, but I do know its only been on a Masters Sunday. But I can agree that 2019 and 2025 were just different. A huge relief for everyone that loves this game and especially Augusta. My first vivid memory was 1992 as a 12 year old. Since then there is nothing more important in sports than this tournament. Even my Eagles winning the Super Bowl didn't hit like this tournament does every year. It was a roller coaster, but it was worth it
I'm right there with you. This Masters and the one in 2019 will never be topped in my favorite sports memory!

Crazy how that tiger win in 2019 was so profound in the sports world. I thought I was the only one who got emotional.
What an iconic camera shot with Rory walking off the 18th and making his way to Butler Cabin. Thanks so much for posting this.
This is one of the best moments in all of sports I’ve seen in a long time, we love you Rory! Enjoy this one forever!
It's been a long way for him. I remember feeling really happy for Justin Rose when he got his first, these are two of the best Europe's produced. That final round was a struggle...but his second to 15 was an incredible shot.
That hug with Shane Lowry was legend. Well done Rory. Slainte.
I agee. The entire 6+ minute reel was filled with so much emotion: joy, happiness, love and relief by so many, but the highlight was Shane Lowry's "big bear hug" and pure joy towards his fellow golfer. It was the was pinnacle of that walk.
I honestly wasn't expecting this reaction. Obviously I knew it was important to complete the career slam but wow this reaction shows how deep he cares. Tremendous for Rory what a year he's had. Likely player of the year at this point!
Yea just a long time since a major too
@evskiii yea also true didn't think of that. Really enjoyed the golf today and seeing a player cement the legacy that way is just incredible to watch. I wanted Bryson to win but Rory is awesome too
Well only five players before him had ever achieved the career grand slam in golf. All legendary players. Quite a few great players had never achieved that. So yeah I think he understands what he just did. Immediately puts him on the Mount Rushmore of golf, erasing all the near misses and years of almost victories in the Majors.
@@therealtw90 It was a rollercoaster of a final round, that definitely added a lot to the emotions. He had some tough mistakes, but made some big shots. He almost gave up his lead.
@@ethan97679 oh yeah, he was up and down, then up, then down, multiple times today, playing with his own emotions of playing well and also coming close to “blowing it” a couple times, a lot of the energy he let out was because of that, him possibly thinking he has blown it again, and how much he cares in regards to that and getting it done.

This is honestly one of the most iconic moments in sports history. Nance hit a banger line with “McIlroy has his masterpiece”
When he lined up that putt at 18, I thought, the great ones close it out here. When he missed, I shook my head, but he kept his cool and set himself up perfectly on that last hole. He will sleep better tonight than he has in years.

Hats off to Justin Rose, all that effort will continue to pay off. Hope to see him lift a major soon!
WOW!!! Another phenomenal Sunday...in a long line of phenomenal Sundays at the Masters. I thought he blew it. With the poor wedge on 13, the missed Eagle putt on 15, the missed makeable putt on 16, another poor wedge on 18, and another makeable missed putt on 18. With Justin Rose playing lights out - especially on the back nine-and surging up the leaderboard, I didn't give Rory much chance in the playoff. The playoff usually goes to the player who has the hot hand, not the guy blowing the lead. But I've got to give credit where credit is due. Rory showed amazing resilience and intestinal fortitude by grinding it out, playing through it, and not letting the bad breaks get in his head. Congrats, Rory...you are an inspiration and a perfect example of what can happen when you refuse to quit. Welcome to that illustrious and very elite (small) club of career grand slam winners (Sarazen, Hogan, Player, Nicklaus, Tiger, and now YOU!!!!!). You earned it, baby!!!
That was 11 years of frustration, heartache, of not winning a major. All his emotions just poured out of him. He looked drained, joyous, and relieved
Beautiful, interrupted coverage of raw emotion. Kudos to who let this play out
As a fellow native of Northern Ireland, well done Rory…everyone is buzzing for you back home! Nice to have one of the greats of golf be from our little corner of the world. ❤ ⛳️
Ok. Rory got his. Well deserved. Became a Rose fan today. Class act. Let him get another major and next years Masters.
For anyone who has rooted for this man for the last 10+ years, you had to have shed a tear like myself watching him walk through that crowd at the end. I know he has choked many times but to birdie that playoff hole after what had happened shows how resilient he can be. Everyone should stop comparing him to Tiger because nobody (still playing) is close. The only European player to be loved by American golf fans is a credit to who he is as a person. I hope he gets at least one more major this year. Oh and helps keep the Ryder cup blue
He almost had me crying. You don't see passion like this very often. Congrats
Almost??? You need to learn to cry dear friend. If that did not reach you, you really need to open your heart
This hits deep, the raw emotion. I think he's feeling more relief than happiness really. He is done. He has had so much pressure on his shoulders and so many expectations. And frankly has taken so much heat for not living up to those expectations.
Big congrats to this man. Very admireable what he has achieved here as a human being, let alone the career grand slam
