Derbi Senda, the workhorse of the average 15 year old moped hooligan in Finland. 50cc, 28mph national limit on mopeds, though that never stopped anyone from doing everything they can to push that shot glass sized piston to nearly 60mph with mods. Gileras and Derbis still have that same red key, my 2013 SMT 50 had one too. :)
Derbi es una mítica marca española. Nació en 1922 arreglando bicicletas. Derbi ha ganado campeonatos del mundo de velocidad, en total 21, entre constructores y pilotos en 49cc, 80cc y 125 cc en la década de 1970
Finland Is filled of these as 50cc mopeds. (well many of them are illegally tuned with bigger cylinders) Lots of small Honda 50cc monkeys here too. You can ride these at age 15 here.
In finland a 15 year old can ride those and derbi's are super common you can find them for 700euros the newest models are technically the same and cost over 3k
Thats a great memory i put the 80cc in a Yamaha 60 fit right in .the jt 80 fun when i was young .then the cr125 then the cr 250.elsinore 1973 still own it thanks for the flash backs so many bikes then my best in the celler husky cr 250 hope i can finish it 1973 .thanks Kaplan
They’re pretty fast, most of the power comes from the sheer rpm of these bikes,. Rev them up high enough and they’ll have a few horsepower to take you up to around 60-70mph. If youre thinking acceleration wise, I’d compare it to a trail 200-250cc air cooled bike
Nice looking bike. I've never heard of this brand of bikes before. They would definitely sell, if they started selling them again. Definitely better than a moped in looks. Do y'all still have any "Rip your house off the foundation" stickers? I talked to Jr a while back about making t-shirts that say that. I told him if y'all would start selling them, I would buy 2 T-shirts, of a t-shirt and sweatshirt, Guaranteed, and I'm a man of my word..
Have the 50cc 1999 model for 24 years almost every day use & many times will go all over Corfu Island including up hills at hot summer days few of them was overheat...never opened the engine, still runs good but very rear will have full throttle & if i open it full will be for short time, always using ester oil motul 600 at time by now is named 710, due to strawberry now i use ipone ester....105 km top speed from factory when was brand new with no any modification, at its time will go ahead of many 125cc, if was installed a racing kit would be a small rocket bike
Those bikes are the most popular smale cc bikes to ride when you are 14-18 in Europe. And the engine they use is just bullet proof. It just goes and goes and goes. Get a proper exhaust and a bigger carb and you are getting close to the power of a 80cc dirt bike. Never had a 75cc version, just 3-4 50cc bikes(same engine just a smaler cylinder) and they should have a oil tank under the seat and a oil pump on the right side of the engine.
i got a gilera h@k 50cc 2003 and its got the same engine as that one but 50cc its a derbi euro 2 engine it does 55 mph and its now broke down againg on me lmao i have to redo teh engine (not cylinder have done that twice already ) its my daily driver
Ohoh In Italy there were many around since they can be driven at 14, but the 50 favorite for kids is the hm 50. You can mount kits up to 110cc ahahaha
110 Paramakit :D
@@CHERRY-io6ui 110cc parmakit is legendary but a 100cc 2fast is more powerful
@@klsojenzljbenodbd am6 100ccm mhr engine is 110ccm

Modded 35mph
Had a 50ccm derbi senda as my first moped at 15. Put a aftermarket expansion chamber on it adjusted the jets and it would just go!!! Did about 65 mph
I passed on one of these this summer just messaged the guy to see if he still has it. Hope I can get it. Kickass bike
These bikes are monsters with a racing kit with full prep.
That they are.
well said, yes this is true
Spain´s gift to all european young bikers.
the same bike in 50cc is very popular moped in finland
I have an 07 model with 70cc kit, 24mm pwk carb and a blaze racing 70cc exhaust and it is a really nice bike
Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you guys and everyone involved for this channel and everything you all do. God bless!
2001 my first road bike 👌🏾covered over 25 000 miles in 3.5 years. Some of the best biking years of my life.
Awesome bike Italy makes cool stuff.

What year?
So cool!!! 👍
Send it my way would do me going back and forth to my parents house
Coño una derbi senda. Esta no me la esperaba
Wow nice one , my first bike and probably the best memories haha , with a Trc / tavi high exhaust and bigger carburator , it was a rocket
Wow street legal!
Is it fast though? 75cc seems tiny.
My 70cc derbi does 60mph easily
They’re pretty fast, most of the power comes from the sheer rpm of these bikes,. Rev them up high enough and they’ll have a few horsepower to take you up to around 60-70mph. If youre thinking acceleration wise, I’d compare it to a trail 200-250cc air cooled bike
And since it’s meant to be street legal, I’d guess it has a flatter torque and horsepower curve than most two strokes
What’s the parts of availability on these?
You can get all the parts you need from europe but you cant probably find anything for these in the usa
I had a 2004 bultaco Astro 50cc of one of these which were the exact same as the derbi senda mk1
the translator completely changes what i say if you see my text messages ba to change everything when i translate it into english
If you see my text messages that a Spanish translated for you
Looks modern.
My mate has one with no exhaust rode it about for ages people used to come after him lol
You can still get them brand new and loads of tunning parts for them .
ooh looks nice 🤙🤙
Would be sick if you got a yamaha dt 50 or tzr 50, or any of the other geared mopeds in europe...
I have a street legal version of the 1986 KX 125 called KMX
Its a bit like a Suzuki RMX.SMX 50 cc, Enduro spec RMX or Motard spec SMX

Wish Honda would of made a cr85 like that
👍🏻👊🏻✊🏻
I had a bright red one when I was 16. It was the standard 50cc but derestricted it would do about 55/60mph! Unlike this one, mine was VERY abused! 🤟🏼
I love my gpr50 little things rip hard

No way you guys actually got a derbi!
Looks like a yzf from the top view
Ive had this bike in the states since 2012, off-road and every thing. Upgraded, check me out.
heheh here in europe these little things become street demons
Id be killed riding that on I-95.
Need something that can do at least 100.
Ditch that junk for a Gas Gas 🇪🇸
