You can search in toolbox for an explosion vfx, afterwards, you add that into your moon animator file. Select constant easing and move the vfx part away from camera. When you want it to explode, select the frame then move it to where you want it to explode. Then move it back away from the camera for the next frame.
yes. each time you set a keyframe, it basically just dictates what style the next keyframe is. However, its hard to combine different styles but its up to you if you're up to the challenge.
