@@traceyjacobsen8544it’s really not if you have a joystick, controller is the way to go and it does take practice but once you find the spot you need to hold the joystick it makes it easy tbh
You can do it in BMX too (fly all the map also). And if you do it correctly (cause it was not optimal)/take a faster bike (like the Bati), you can fly around the map indefinitely

i always wondered why speedrunners never used this glitch and then i remembered that storymode characters aren’t as resilient as the online characters. hit the ground a little bit too hard on a bike and your pelvis is shattered, in online you can fall from the maze bank on a bike and be perfectly fine if you land it correctly

Hahaha I found out you could do this when back then I was a bad driver but didn't want to switch to Trevor on this part cuz I liked chilling in the car with Lester more. So to win the race I just popped Trevor's tires and continued doing so whenever I played the story from then onwards ;^)

It’s simple, as soon as one person does it and shaves off that huge amount of time everyone will practice it and perfect it until it’s just a normal part of speedruns. Since GTA is a long run though it’ll take a while before the times get low enough for this to be necessary.
I think I might try. I just beat it last night for the first time and love to speedrun. I have no issue with throwing runs. I have to learn the route and tricks first of course. 😅
There is a lot of things like this in speed running, no one pushes it in certain strategies until either a way is found to make them more reliable, or someone else risks it and pulls it off making it so the strategy is needed to beat the record.

If you used to do a lot of GTA Online racing you’ll know it’s relatively easy to control it once you get the hang of the mechanics. I would win races at the last second if there was a jump and I was behind, simply by pulling back and gliding over them. It gives you a significant speed boost compared to bikes that are grounded. But like Matt explained it’s more the fact of being 3hrs into a run which makes it risky.
I would honestly like to see a splice of the perfect run where you grab every mission time and distance it takes to get to that mission then cut it together by grabbing all the best times. Like it'll technically be the fastest way to beat the game.
All it takes is one guy determined to nail the time save on a run and get the record, for the whole community to actually practice and implement it because they'll never get near the record without it.
Also the bike reposition mission have a great skip if you are tryhard enough to do it. You need to cross along a great gap of a water dead end by a collision glitch
You should do a challenge Risk% where you do a standard speed run but do basically every time save that's been deemed too risky until you get a full run with all of them, probably still easier than pacifist% and would nearly guarantee a record that would stand basically until everyone started doing all the risks
I figure it’s probably most practical if you’re a minute or two behind from a mistake earlier so you really need to make up time. At that point, you might as well give it a whirl

I break that mission all the time by popping the tires on the motorcycle so when the ai drives Trevor he just slides everywhere and it's hilarious

I did the opposite, I used to do a burnout with the car to pop the tires when the cops were still there and then switched to Trevor
I love speed runs where the runner always goes for the risky strats, it's far more entertaining that a world record run
And if they hit them all by some miracle, it sets a record no one else will beat.

There is other spots on the mountain which let you glide infinitely, such as the ez mala yo glide, the Mafia glide and the Verpester Glide.
