I just love the way both Dan and Danielle take care of Mr. Ed. Danielle is so loving and caring to her father in law. They are doing the right thing, taking good care of him during this time. Some people would be running to the nearest nursing home, even when they would be capable of caring for their loved one in their old age.
There you have it , sweet Danielle to the rescue . ED loves you because you’re so good to him . And that’s why I admire you . Thank you for your kindness Danielle . And I like your hat 😂😅😅
That's great! You guys just wait... Once Grandpa Ed gets those new shoes tightened he might just start doing the moonwalk in no time!🤗 You guys are so great with him. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to watching all the way from Africa by way of Sacramento. Im familiar with the Elk Grove area quite well.🙂
I lost my Dad when I was 17 from Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma.. he was only 56 but Dr.ED reminds me of him, you are precious people the way you care for him. You have the patience of JOB!
It is good that "love" is the fabric that holds this family together which is wonderful that Dan provides us to see how to deal with Grandpa Ed dementia. So, thank you Dan, Mark and Danielle for doing everything possible to make living with Grandpa dementia which helps us see kindness and support helps maintain this family together. Merry Christmas.
Dr. ED is a lucky man for having such a wonderful family caring for him. Danielle God is on your side and will continue to protect and provide for you and your family. God bless you all. Much love from Ottawa, Canada
Yes you are right Danielle, keep his feet secure, I cared for a lady for 5 yrs she was a sweetheart in that stage of her Alzi, and I rem putting on her shoes I had to say push😂.now I realized now ,how much you love you husband.❤❤❤❤
Animal lovers are the best caregivers. Cos you need to be a caring person to be a fantastic pet owner. Same way having an elderly person who depends on u for almost everything. Dan and danielle are wonderful people and it always warms my heart to see that these type of people that cherish family still exist
Bless your heart Danielle. The amount of love and care in all that you do really shines in these moments you share with us. Much love and goodluck for tonight girl 😘❣️❣️♦️♠️🎰♣️♥️👄👄 xoxo
This doesn't have much to do with the shoes but i was just thinking... Your house has such a warm, cozy and inviting glow. That has to help in some way when Grampa is having a moment of uncertainty. I would think so anyway ...❤
From ALL of the research I've done, for elderly, and shoes, they should ALWAYS have a very thin sole. Not like a house slipper, but no more than 1/4". There are shoe places that show, and explain all of that. Less thickness means less shoe/tread to pick up so the person shuffling their feet doest have to 'work' so hard to walk through the house. ✅
Grandpa knew he needed a shoehorn to get his new shoes on. I'm happy you got the same color and type of shoe. He would be wondering where his shoes were. Don't change things if you can. Love how you ta k e care of him. Lots of love in that home.
I always found it challenging to find decent velcro shoes for my husband who suffered a brain aneurysm. Not many choices especially 25 yrs ago. Also not great styles either but there's a few more options now. Gord use to like new balance but I was trying to find other styles as well. He passed away 1 yr ago and I sure do miss him.
When I was taking care of my grandmother with her dementia, there was nothing that I would not do for her, although it was very very hard it was so worth it in the end
Danielle is very good with Ed. I'm a caregiver, and she is amazing, so patient and loving toward Ed. People can learn from Danielle by listening and observing how she does things, plus how she reacts to certain situations that come up like Ed getting out of bed.
It's so heartwarming the way you care for Ed. It's no wonder he NEVER forgets who you are. He always remembers "His Danielle." ❤😊🥰
"Why are we doing this?" Even dementia cannot take away Ed's curiosity. And he's thankful as always even if he doesn't understand

The foot doctor gets new shoes! Love it! ❤️ Danielle is an angel. Such a spirit of service. Evidence of internal Heavenly Light. Such a sweetheart. ❤️
"I need a shoe horn." How many of us remember going to try on shoes and they always used a shoe horn? Ed definetly does!
My Grandparents had lots of shoe horn back in the days ❤
I'm 34 and use one everyday
They had shoe horn and little socks that people shared when trying on shoes.
Another lovely example of how carefully you assess, and provide for, Dr Ed's needs.
ty.
Grandpa Ed is walking on sunshine, in his new kicks, with his amazing family!

Men especially LOVE shoes horns. None of the women in my family use shoe horns but most of the men can't seem to survive without one. 😂😂
