People who think that Lillian doesn’t like her sister should watch videos where adult monkeys are truly aggressive with baby monkeys. They can very well be left dead or very severely injured. Lillian might play a little rough, but she is not about to let any cat do ANYTHING to harm Gracie! Did you see her stand up tall, raising her arms, and opening her mouth right in front of the cat,standing in between Gracie and the cat. She made it very clear that she is by far the dominant female in the room. Way to go girl-you’re doing great at keeping law and order👍

You are so right! At first it used to bother me to get hateful comments but now it is like water off a ducks back, lol. I did not read all the comments so maybe someone else said this, but I find it amazing how quickly Gracie has already learned the signs of submission she should show to Lillian Louise and she has even shown to the cats a bit as well, laying down, stretching her bottom end toward the subject. Very much an innate behavior for what I have read and viewed. I love your baby girls and they will come to absolutely adore each other. I have four brothers, me being the only girl, so I understand Miss Lillian about being raised up a little more rough. It will all work out. Your Baby Sis will get stronger real fast and give you a run for your money one day soon! You all are having a real good time!!!

I absolutely love your babies! They have to be among the luckiest monks on the planet. They are so loved by their human family and everything I see you doing for them is well thought out with them in mind. I’m aware that everyone could not afford to do what you do but that’s ok. If you adopt a monkey it’s just like any other pet you are committed to; and it’s a lifelong commitment. You don’t give it up after a few months. I watch other monkey channels and I gauge each one by the standards I see you have created; if they are in the home environment (as they should be if they are your pets and part of the family-right?) then your videos shouldn’t be about neglect, abuse, or activities that put the monkeys in harms way, which they are so often. So sometimes I refer these owners to watch your channels about Lillian Louise and Gracie. Thank you for sharing your joy with us. God Bless
Another fun video. You guys are living proof that when done the right way, Monkeys can be wonderful pets. You have certainly changed my thinking on the subject. I have a burning question for you and/or one of your viewers: Can monkeys be potty trained?? It makes no sense to me that they couldn’t be, given the relative ease with which dogs and other pets can be housebroken, paper trained, etc. I have seen no videos with older monkeys that are not wearing diapers, which seems a bit strange to me. I would not worry about what other people say. The interacted just fine today. Lillian showed more interest in Gracie than I have ever seen. And she was so gentle with her. It's not going to be very much longer and the two of them will be rough housing it togetger.
How do you distinguish between friendly play or aggressive play? (between Lilian and Gracie). I know monkeys tend to bite softly when they play, but are you able to tell when certain actions become too much?

People have to realize also shes been the only monkey since a baby. Lillian had to get used to Gracie and Gracie is blessed to start out with Lillian when Gracie gets older she'll probably be more playful like Lillian. Shes already a pistol. It seemed like Lilian was reprimanding Gracie there, telling her not to get to close to princess, perhaps I’ve seen other monkey mothers do that to their babies. A little bite that don’t really hurt but it sends the message across, so she’s being motherly.
I think people might think they don't get along because, they don't understand that, Lilian is just doing ,what she would do in her monkey troop, protecting the baby and refrermanding her for getting to close to the cat or anything that would hurt, her baby sister. She definitely loves Gracie and and protects her to . She's very Attached .
Lillian’s momma instincts are kicking in. Lillian’s behavior seems the same as wild adult females in a troop. I’ve been watching monkeys in the wild. Notice when she separates Gracie and the cat, Lillian will put her mouth on Gracie’s head or arm? Judging by her wild relatives’ behavior, Lillian seems to be teaching Gracie something about the cats. The difference between Lillian and the ones in the jungle is the wild ones actually bite down more.
If Lillian didn't love Gracie, she wouldn't ever groom her. Lillian is always trying to groom her sister- the love and big sisterly protectiveness she has is so touching to see. She is a great big sis! I don't know who told you that she didn't like Gracie, but that is simply not true! You can see the love!

Gracie's running all over the place. Nothing holding her back. What happened to Lillian's balls? But Gracie might have gotten lost in them. lol Gracie was checking Prince Harry out through the wires while Princess was checking her out. If Princess made one wrong move, Lillian was ready to pounce. So lovely how your 2 girls just knew they were meant for each other. I just noticed that you've done a lot of culling of all the toys Lillian had. Time to bring out the Fisher-Price toys again. It's a good thing you're not ticklish on your feet! Maybe it's the light, but Gracie's hair color looks different today. She looks more gray than cinnamon, especially on her head. We had some heavy-duty rain here yesterday with a lot of wind but that's common Tenn. winter weather. Go put those girls to bed so they can rest up for later. Hugs and kisses guys

I would not worry about what other people say. The interacted just fine today. Lillian showed more interest in Gracie than I have ever seen. And she was so gentle with her. It's not going to be very much longer and the two of them will be rough housing it togetger.

How do you distinguish between friendly play or aggressive play? (between Lilian and Gracie). I know monkeys tend to bite softly when they play, but are you able to tell when certain actions become too much?
I was in the same storm as y'all. The thunder and lightning were spectacular...but it was over fairly quickly. How do the girls do in storms? This was a lovely video - it is always a treat to see your girls. Thank you.
People have to realize also shes been the only monkey since a baby. Lillian had to get used to Gracie and Gracie is blessed to start out with Lillian when Gracie gets older she'll probably be more playful like Lillian. Shes already a pistol. Lol...Lillian has kept her eye on Gracie like a hawk! SHES NOT LETTIN NOTHIN HAPPEN TO HER SISTER. See shes went n got her twice now...such a protective big sister! Happy nap time beautiful babies! It seemed like Lilian was reprimanding Gracie there, telling her not to get to close to princess, perhaps I’ve seen other monkey mothers do that to their babies. A little bite that don’t really hurt but it sends the message across, so she’s being motherly.
It’s so fascinating watching the communication between the animals.
I think people might think they don't get along because, they don't understand that, Lilian is just doing ,what she would do in her monkey troop, protecting the baby and refrermanding her for getting to close to the cat or anything that would hurt, her baby sister. She definitely loves Gracie and and protects her to . She's very Attached .

Lillian’s momma instincts are kicking in. Lillian’s behavior seems the same as wild adult females in a troop. I’ve been watching monkeys in the wild. Notice when she separates Gracie and the cat, Lillian will put her mouth on Gracie’s head or arm? Judging by her wild relatives’ behavior, Lillian seems to be teaching Gracie something about the cats. The difference between Lillian and the ones in the jungle is the wild ones actually bite down more.
I hope you don’t mind me sharing my observations of the troops I’ve been watching. By no means am I an expert. I’m just sharing. 🙂

If Lillian didn't love Gracie, she wouldn't ever groom her. Lillian is always trying to groom her sister- the love and big sisterly protectiveness she has is so touching to see. She is a great big sis! I don't know who told you that she didn't like Gracie, but that is simply not true! You can see the love!

That was amazing - It looked to me like Princess hissed at Lillian because Lillian interrupted her when she was stalking little Gracie. Good girl Lillian - I'm sure the cats love her but they also know they can't push their luck when around Gracie, or Lillian will have something to say about it!
Gracie's running all over the place. Nothing holding her back. What happened to Lillian's balls? But Gracie might have gotten lost in them. lol Gracie was checking Prince Harry out through the wires while Princess was checking her out. If Princess made one wrong move, Lillian was ready to pounce. So lovely how your 2 girls just knew they were meant for each other. I just noticed that you've done a lot of culling of all the toys Lillian had. Time to bring out the Fisher-Price toys again. It's a good thing you're not ticklish on your feet! Maybe it's the light, but Gracie's hair color looks different today. She looks more gray than cinnamon, especially on her head. We had some heavy-duty rain here yesterday with a lot of wind but that's common Tenn. winter weather. Go put those girls to bed so they can rest up for later. Hugs and kisses guys

Ahhhhhh that's sweet. I wondered if Lillian would show love to Gracie and she loves Gracie. Pretty soon Gracie will be swinging from those toys and monkey bars lol.
😊👍 Lillian loves Gracie a lot. People want to see Lillian treat Gracie like she is her daughter but actually Lillian is respecting me as the mother and treating Gracie like a sister. I find that very respectful of Lillian 💕 Watching her worry about Gracie's safety was so touching to witness 💕

If anyone thinks that lilians biting the baby she’s not biting to hurt Gracie it’s because she’s trying to play and biting is how capuchins know how to play! But Gracie is still to young to play that tough just yet but she will get there and you’ll see that’s just how they play

Lillian is afraid of stormy weather but I don't thing Gracie understands yet. I think I am more afraid than Lillian, lol
