Is the retail price in the US 50,000$? I got the same watch and paid around 38,000$ directly from the dealer. Now this watch trades at around 60k when I check on Chrono24. I love this watch btw and exactly the “humble brag”, you put that perfectly btw, is what I love on this watch the most. Those who don’t know, think it’s a nice watch. Those who know, appreciate it and ask how I got my hand on it. Perfect. And obviously with the green dial this will never go out of style and I see this watch at 100k in 10 years, but I never going to sell mine anyway.
The current 128238 yellow gold 36 is retailing at £32,000 - I mean, you paid 7K, this general model is listed used as you say around 15K... is it even really worth getting it new from retail for 32K??!
Whitegold does not look same as oyster steel. Rolex „GreyGold“ has a subtile shine and sparkles even when the polished surface gets matte over time. That is typical for Gold, Palladium/Platinum metal. Also there a good reasons for wearing greygold rather than yellow or rose same as there are reasons for wearing high end platinum time pieces. Rolesor white always over yellow and rose but Platinum rulez the game.
1 kg platinum (CHF 30 K) is cheaper than 1 kg gold (CHF 56 k), also white gold is not pure gold. if you want pure luxury, you should buy yellow gold. this is the original.
@@luca_trajan what a nonsense - You cannot compare standard white gold with Rolex White Gold. Rolex adds high amounts of platinum so their white gold never changes the colour and doesnt need to be rhodium platet. Same for Rolex Everrose Models. That’s why the white and rosegold timepieces are slightly more expensive than the yellow gold versions.
The whole point of white gold or platinum is stealth wealth. The white metals are for people who enjoy quality and luxury but feel no need to brag.
The green dial stands out in the background of white gold…. BEAUTIFUL !
love the quality of your videography and general content
This is why the Day-Date is my grail watch.
Stunning Day-Date…..White Gold is perfect 👍 to showcase incognito bonito or as Austin Daniels puts it Stealth Wealth! Great vid guys.
I just seen the platinum one it’s levels to the day-dates now
😄 One of the hottest watch models in the industry is NOT a sleeper. It is well awake 😅
You boys know what we want to see!
What a watch!
Perfection!
great video, you guys should do a wrist watch check at the beginning! was Alex wearing a Tank Must?
Good point! Yes indeed, the red dial one 🙌🏼
The tudor bimetallic day date is really cool imo
I always wanted yellow till I had the change.. swaped it for this exact model.. yellow to flashy
Good review 👍👍👍

Got mine I think they will discontinue in 2026 because of 10 years production
Which dealer ? Trying to purchase one
how about the olive dial platinum day date ?
I had the pleasure of holding on of these in my AD this week. WOW
@@tomjamesynwa how much is it?

It is not a sleeper watch when it is one of the hottest models and you are probably never going get them at retail.
The new yellow gold day date with the green dial is better than this and the rose gold day-date.
Errr no. This is better.
more airtime for the watch-face and less of the presenter's would have been great, we are not here to see you two...........
if that watch was going for 7grand instead of 40 and you could actually find it in an AD that wouldnt ve been a sleeper
would be better with rose gold green dial
Nah only idiots wear rose gold.
I wonder could you get away with wearing this casually. Jeans and t shirt.
Not for me. If you go for a day date, you want it to bling. If you want stealth pick a high horology piece like a lange
White gold is classy, yellow gold is for rappers.
Other way round. Yellow gold is historically the classiest. US Presidents and Warren Buffet aren't rappers.
Please let this watch sleep until i can buy it
The 40m is to big for him. So basically your prefer women watches. LOL. In that regard Daytona & submariners are to big also ?! LOL
bro zero chemistry, nice video though
