    That was just sublime. As soon as the video finished I had to go straight back to the beginning. I hope the two of you will collaborate again.

    This was an excellent performance guys, bravo 👏! Recently, I've been listening to the countertenor Philippe Jaroussky and guitarist Thibaut Garcia on the album "À sa guitar," which has music like this. Hopefully the pendulum is swinging back towards music like this! 😎

    What Clef do I write for modern music on Theorbo. The problem with treble clef is writing for the low strings is like 18(not really but close) ledger lines below the staff. But Ive seen lots of people write for treble clef

      Theorbo players play continuo from bass clef and read solo music from tablature. I dont recommend putting solo music in score but If you want to do so bass clef is your best bet

    Is this the one with a folding neck I saw in one of your videos? When oyu get to a venue, how long does it take to set up and tune?

    • @brandonacker
      @brandonacker  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. It stays in tune when folded! So it takes me no more time to tune than a normal theorbo.

    Is there a transcription for this?

      You can play directly from the score. Everything else I'm doing is improvised in the basso continuo style of the Baroque period. Basically in this piece you just play the chords G, D/F#, em, D the whole time. ks15.imslp.org/files/imglnks/usimg/e/ef/IMSLP878332-PMLP1381877-Lanier_-_Loves_Constancy_-_Score_.pdf
