6:25 after years later I know why he did that. It shows vicious may not be mentally sound but as some have stated he knew Julia wasn't loyal and that spike wasn't respectable anymore. And so when this dude tries to act buddy and cordial with vicious he makes it clear that they could never be anything more than acquaintances if even that. Simply because of how he fears vicious who saves his life and doesn't feel any sort of regret for how he reacted. Remember Spike in episode one had jet actively "sh00t" at him and yet wasn't afraid because he trusted jet same to when Fae did the same there was no fear

When I was 12..impersonating Shin was the best ..I was waiting for you Spike..acting all..then going to school..He will come..I liked doing also Vicious..all Epic..best thing ever made on screen
It's not until you get put into the same situation as Vicious that you understand how much of a moron Spike was. After all the shit he did to him, Spike went out of his way to seek out Vicious. Sure Vicious was a criminal but when Spike fucked off after the betrayal Vicious didn't chase him, he just let him go. If anything Vicious acted out of self defense, most of the time he doesn't even want to kill Spike, on the other hand Spike raids his hideout and throws grenades at Vicious, Spike justifies his behavior by seeking revenge for Maria even though Spike actually was in the wrong the whole time, if anything Vicious would have been justified looking for revenge, but he didn't. This is further proven by the fact that, in both their fights, Spike uses heavy weaponry while Vicious fights with a sword and a bird.
I guess we're just going to ignore that Vicious also has a bunch of mooks who pack heavy heat, as well, and only bothers to fight Spike when he's gravely wounded, has no men left, or when he has someone he knows Spike won't kill, then. Like... Vicious is a lot of things, but a fair fighter isn't one of them.
If Vic really didn’t care he wouldn’t have kidnapped Faye that one time. There wasn’t really any other reason to do that. And don’t forget all those syndicate members he sent after Spike reunited with Julia. Dude couldn’t get over what happened and wanted to watch the world burn while Spike just never had anything to lose. No wonder they kept fighting
Does anyone know the name of the theme that comes on when gren says "we were comrades" Edit: I found it. The cowboy bebop wiki really is something to behold. It's called wasteland.
Vicious survival of episode 5 is just as crazy as spikes. He should have been blown up by a grenade . Is he real or is he a part of a loop that spike is in .
By the way, have you watched the Japanese version? I heard his Japanese VA Norio Wakamoto was really playing against type since he usually hams every role he has as much as he can.
Vicious is called the snake because he is like Lucifer. Lucifer was an angel. The executor of Gods glory during praise and worship in heaven. Then Lucifer thought he was hot stuff. He wanted to be God. God's position wasn't up for grabs, so God spared him and gave him his own habitation, which is what Lucifer now the devil deserves for his treason against the Most High. In a lot of ways Vicious is like the devil. I believe he was cool a while back, but he passed a point of no return. It was directly related to Julia's bull crap. But you gotta choose and yes Julia is not responsible for his actions. He is. He chose to take it out on everyone and everything except his bird. He chose the self destructive path of a rebel. A rebel will always destroy themselves in the long run, and usually die pretty young. It's the way of the destroyer. Only in fantasies like Star Wars or Street Fighter and many others do we see the rebel prosper or seem awe inspiring. But the reality is they aren't. They need help. Jesus died to help these people. We need Pastors and real men and women of God to help to communicate this. All things are possible to Jesus and all those who believe on His name. Some pretty awesome scenes here never the less.
Works pretty well enough. Vicious betrays and destroys... even his closest friends. Yet, he did have some honor in him... but the end... He will always seek the path of destruction... even his own..... You see it in the final showdown: He gives Spike the gun to kill him, he accepts Spike words (''lets finish this'' - ''if that is your wish''). Vicious has like 20 minutes of show time in the Anime and yet remains one of the greatest character. Vicious and Spike were twins connected at birth... only going to die together... and yet all different. Vicious believed in a ''natural order''... Spike was one to ''rebel''
I always liked how vicious slid the gun to spike first in their final battle. He was an evil bastard, but he had some real respect for his enemy there.

lots of people say viscous was 2 dimensional but I thought he was given enough depth
I definitely agree. You’re supposed to fill in his backstory through the clues you are given. He’s only 2 dimensional to people who can’t see the story.
Wish I couldn't relate to this guy.
Sorry to hear that... may life change for the better and not for the worst dude.
Fun fact: same voice actor as Might Guy.
When angels are forced out of heaven they become devils.
where can i find the vicious theme? it always plays when he interacts with the van
road to the west. haha a bit late
@@hubertgiao8909 Nah, not the Tears Of Blood Scene. It's whenever Vicious is de-briefed by The Van and they usually belittle him and it's a dark, brooding theme. A lot of bass.
@@hubertgiao8909 It plays at 9:48 in this video.
im not sure but it sounds like an ambient sound for that part. i think that was the only scene that has that theme
@@hubertgiao8909 It happens two or three times in the series. The first time is Jupiter Jazz the second time is in the final 2 episodes.
does anyone know who randomly blew up the roof right before the final battle? did spike plant that or did vicious purposely detonate something?
9:58 Anybody know that ambiant music in the background?
6:25 after years later I know why he did that. It shows vicious may not be mentally sound but as some have stated he knew Julia wasn't loyal and that spike wasn't respectable anymore. And so when this dude tries to act buddy and cordial with vicious he makes it clear that they could never be anything more than acquaintances if even that. Simply because of how he fears vicious who saves his life and doesn't feel any sort of regret for how he reacted.
Remember Spike in episode one had jet actively "sh00t" at him and yet wasn't afraid because he trusted jet same to when Fae did the same there was no fear
I don't know who the fuck this new vicious is on the Netflix series cause he aint this!
“Kill me” - Vicious
"Later." - TF2 Medic
Now this is the Vicious I know and remember. When I was kid, I thought he was so cool with that Katana but watching this now as an adult it looks so stupid. Never bring a sword to a gunfight lol
It’s not that simple. He’s a nihilist and honestly by the end of the series he flirts with death on purpose. Everyone he ever knew betrayed him. His mentor, his best friend, and even his lover.
The leadership of the Red Dragon's has no changed hands from this time forward MY POWER IS THE ONLY POWER
Vicious obvious reference to the seven headed beast with ten horns Lucifer/Loki/Ares
11:17/11:57
Smoke screen bird.......Vicious was so fuckin cold !!
The leadership of the Red Dragon's has now changed hands from this time forward MY POWER IS THE ONLY POWER 11:46/11:58
Remember a serpents Venom poison's slowly after the bite
A serpent doesn't need to eat a dragon when it can kill with one bite of its poison
Energy out is energy back
This is actually dumb, but when I first watched the show I thought that when Spike said Vicious wouldn't show mercy to anyone, even the man who took him in and made him who he was I thought Spike was referring to himself, rather than Mao.
Pretty stupid in hindsight. Vicious' introduction is one of the best in the show, or shows in general. Period.
Not That Guy The Other I did too man
Same
Thank you for this knowledge
Me too. I only realized that in subsequent rewatches. I think in my case it's because I first watched the show when I was really young. Probably an age thing
When I was 12..impersonating Shin was the best ..I was waiting for you Spike..acting all..then going to school..He will come..I liked doing also Vicious..all Epic..best thing ever made on screen
Don't forget...
🌜Masterful🌛
is maturity realizing Vicious did nothing wrong? that he only did the bad things because he was betrayed by the people he trusted the most
You can’t be a horrible person just because you have an excuse... Vicious sucks
Nah he did plenty thing wrong, plus he was too blinded with power and nihilism
maturity is realizing vicious had the right to feel betrayed but also seeing how his unchecked revenge just leads to extra people dying
What’s the background music from 9:45 to 11:00?
I also need to know, it's low deep tone always interested me
@@thegypsy8779according the wiki, it's titled "Space Time", but sadly was never released.
What is the name of the song that play at 8:45? So good and fitting!
Seatbelts - Waste Land

A serpent's venom poisons slowly after the bite
Vicious using Sword not because he was a honorable fighter or some kind of it, he use Sword because he loved to cause a prolonged pain to his enemy
They completely ruined one of my fave characters in the shit live action show but that wasnt the only character they ruined...😑
He definitely got the worst treatment
Does anyone know the name of the theme that comes on when gren says "we were comrades"
Edit: I found it. The cowboy bebop wiki really is something to behold. It's called wasteland.
Thank you all.
They should make (Cowboy Bebop before The Bebop).
I like the sound of Vicious's Bird and Gunfire heard in this vid. Is this a remastered version?
My favorite edge lord
Vicious survival of episode 5 is just as crazy as spikes. He should have been blown up by a grenade . Is he real or is he a part of a loop that spike is in .
Are there any mafia and/or crime-syndicate based anime as good or better than this???
No
Black Lagoon is pretty good
Black lagoon on the same level
Gungrave
Yes.
11:35 smooth af
By the way, have you watched the Japanese version? I heard his Japanese VA Norio Wakamoto was really playing against type since he usually hams every role he has as much as he can.
Epic
It works though oddly enough.
Even the bird gets sacrificed eventually...
He did say "when angels are force out of heaven, they become devils...."
@@vonb2792 "Julia is dead. Let's finish this." Which tells you who their lives were attached to.
"Nothing."
