I picked one up at a salvation army store for $20 a few years back....he doesn't move currently but I'm working on him now is how I came across your video.....thanks!! I've got him naked right now lol
Hi, were you able to fix him? Last week I bought one from Goodwill for $20, it was missing the cord so I have it plugged into a random cord at the moment. He says "merry christmas" and seems to want to dance but he wont dance. I came across a youtube video that shows how to repair it with a rubber band because the rubber piece inside wears out. Did yours have the same issue?
@@MsStarMama We got a 2003-2004 model year 4-foot Gemmy Santa from a neighbor without power cord. The plug in socket on the base shows DC6V - we ordered a 6 Volt, 2 Amp power supply off Amazon, and it works well powered by that. The Santa will draw the amperage it needs, so 2 Amps was a safe bet for the Santa's electronics - if you don't supply enough amperage, then it might not work properly. Just don't give it more Voltage than it's designed to handle. I replaced the lower drive belt, which was missing / probably fell down into his boots or something. Tomorrow I'll try to get to the upper drive belt that swivels the head, which is more difficult to access. O-rings will be more reliable than the rubber bands - I saw that video also.
I know this was posted years ago, but is there a specific cord needed for the aux connection to work? That function isn’t working on mine and I don’t have the original cord that came with it.
@@EGHaunts I’m trying using a regular aux chord, the audio comes through but the santa doesn’t move at all. Any ideas as to what’s happening and how I can fix it?

@@MsStarMamaI’d assume the issue is from the power cord you used, the voltage is probably lower than the recommendation
