I loved your interpretation... playing the song sounding like an echo, like you're dancing inside a pot made of glass, or house made of glass, or a world made of glass... You got the idea of the song in a parcitularly beautiful expression. My sincere congratulations.
Also a good grasp on dynamics! I would love to hear/watch him take a shot at Maki Namekawa's interpretation of "The Poet Acts" also from Phillip Glass.
@@AJ-ep9is You can alter the dynamics of each hand. For example: play crescendos and decrescendos with the LH to bring out its rhythm and so add interest.
It's a difficult piece to grade - technically (note wise), it's easy - grade 2-3 ABRSM. However, playing that 3:2 polyrhythm consistently for the whole 6 minute piece is harder than it looks for sure, and especially taxing on the hands!
First time I've listened to this song while I was flying to Africa. That trip has changed my life forever.
Where in Africa did you fly to?

Great. Perfect polyrythmn. Not easy to play. Gongratulations!

Superb flawless, and still maintained all the subtle dynamics and motion.
Never mind the speed, you totally got the dynamics! Awesome rendition.
i will never, ever get tired of hearing this most beautiful piece.
By far my favorite recording of this to listen to.
Still love this after hearing it on the soundtrack of the film “Breathless” with Richard Gere and Valerie Kapriski - gorgeous
I don't play piano but I like to appreciate the talented people that can play beautiful pieces.
Really lovely playing Rafael. Thank you for introducing me to this music.
Beautiful. As someone who's trying to learn this, I think you've got the speed perfectly!
Jonathan Hopkins actually it's too slow...
Bonjour Rafael, merci pour cette belle interprétation, triste, douce, gaie à la fois, bref, l'esprit s'évade.
Every single piece you play got your sou in -I can feel it, and that's matter when you're an artist. Thanks for sharing your talent to the world!
The most beautiful version ever heard
This is really special. It changes the whole thing.
Eres de los mejores interpretes que he escuchado. Toda mi admiración y reconocimiento.
I'm working on this piece and your interpretation is great (and very helpful) - thanks!
Absolutely beautiful!
I try to lern this song, because my dad like it. But it´s not easy. You Play it pretty good :)
hey, have you learnt it?
@@ghostemane3209
Yeah, but I need to practice again :)
What an incredible piece of music...I bet it takes quite a hemispheric brain to play it...and wow...look at the sheet music... Excellent.
Once you get the hang of it you can try adding nuances to each hand separately, which is REALLY satisfying :)
Please elaborate good sir!

@@skelly790 cheers Andy :)
Brilliant! I've learned I need to slow down to nail the polyrythm.
Exquisite piece... Love this one.
Very well done, congratulations!
This is so good!!!
Fantastic !
This is my favorite piano piece
Never mind! Its there I think. Just none of the sheet music I find has it. Beautifully played :)

This song is nice to play it "flows" very good (can't explain what i mean properly)
excellent
man id love to play this so seamless.... stupid polymeter always messingme up
This piece is so beautiful! Does anyone know around about the grade this would be?
I would say roughly Grade 8 RCM
it doesn't matter what grade it is, there is something to be learned
It's a difficult piece to grade - technically (note wise), it's easy - grade 2-3 ABRSM. However, playing that 3:2 polyrhythm consistently for the whole 6 minute piece is harder than it looks for sure, and especially taxing on the hands!
Song of the day 22/07/2017-- waiting
excelente
It maybe slow, but amazing flawless performance.
thank you!
well done old bean!
Nice! I'm curious about how long it took to get to this point. Cause, I would take that and add like, two years for me.
I've been searching everywhere for the score! Where did you get it? Fantastic interpretation btw
There is a nice collection of sheet music called "keep calm and play on"(the red edition). It includes this song as well as other beautiful pieces
if the musical quality is good, the tempo should not matter
Alguien me puede decir que sentimientos transmite la canción??

los sentimientos son como los riñones. cada uno tiene los suyos
whats that other paino song that starts out very similar to this. its by one of the well known guys
maybe fly by ludovico einaudi
+mikel rodragus I think its "Everyday: by Carly Commando
Mad Rush (also by Philip Glass) probably
i wonder if this music is so amazing to me because i can almost comprehend playing it, but i'm not that skilled, just yet
Is there a chance I could get the sheet music?

@@anieldelouvain153 Thanks! wasn't expecting a reply after 6 years lol
Is the lower note in the base how it's written or did you add those in?
That is how it is written.
good job, hard to begin
♡
sooooooooooooooooo geil
Phillip always knows where to touch me
1.25x speed fixed it to me...
try it at least
Ugh. Sounds like ass. Way too fast and completely destroys the audio quality. Why not just listen to the original if you want it faster?
75bpms. But great.
75beats per millisecond is a bit too fast.
XJV69 not toooooo fast
XJV69 it even is too slow its supposed to be at 96
No, actually XJV69 is right, it's 49000 times too fast...
It looks like a requiem...
wtf, why?
Slower than the original, though i like the original tempo.
Superb!
