Great video as always. Thanks for sharing info. When a main jet slot gets messed up. I use a simple easy out bit. Use one that fits into the hole easily. When out dress it and reinstall. Take care.

Sometimes those low oil cutoff switches get stuck, too, and often they free up if you can just get it running. On my Generac I put a quick disconnect in that line for just that reason. You just need to check your oil before pulling it.
On my predator 8750 I just replaced the carburetor, fuel line from shutoff to carb, air filter, fresh non ethanol gas and spark plug. It won’t hit at all unless I squirt starter fluid in it. Then dies about a second later once it burns it up. I forgot to check the fuel shutoff valve to see if it was gummed up; although I did drain a full tank of old gas from it and it did seem kinda slow to drain. Any other ideas?
I would check the fuel supply and make sure the solenoid is working. Check the wiring to the fuel solenoid on the bottom of the carburetor. Sounds like it may not be working. Also make sure that fuel shut off is unplugged because even if it atarts to run it wont stay running with a pool flow of gas.
My 8750 had spark but wouldn't even fire on starting fluid. Removed the valve cover and found a pushrod slipped out from under the rocker. Are installed it, adjusted the lash and it runs like new. The intake valve wouldn't open so it got no fuel to the combustion chamber.
I have a very similar issue but can't get it fixed. Predator inverter 8750 only a year and half old, but has been sitting for a year. (Ran once) oil/gas are good, took off air filter and squirted break cleaner In ans it fired up and shut off. Trying to avoid taking apart the whole carburetor bc I know it's a new generator. Is there something else I can do to Troubleshoot why it's not getting gas to the engine?
Check fuel flow at the line to the carburetor, if it is getting there it would be a fuel or carb issue. Is the battery charged if it has an electric start?
@IndRepair it has a battery/electric start and the pull start, I don't think the battery I'd charged because it's been sitting for a year so I've been using the pull start. Would the battery affect it if I'm not using that ti start it? And thanks for the info! I'll check the lines and troubleshoot some more.
Check valve trane. Don't have one on this particular engine but the same process on a snowblower. You can see our diagnostics at th-cam.com/video/aJqWwRcmLtg/w-d-xo.html on an issue similar
Look for The Wire coming out of the engine on the right hand side if you're facing the recoil at the front it will be a single wire coming out what looks like a nut on the side of the engine. Just unplug it and test again
Helped me diagnose and fix my problem, thank you for posting this!
Glad to help, thanks for watching!
Good tip on the fuel bowl screws. I wish I would have known that one a few years ago.
Haha don't even bother using the phillips slot anymore just straight to the vice grip pliers. Thanks for watching!

They sure do, been a while since I have seen one stuck. Good info!
I agree, I put a toggle switch to disconnect low oil shut down
I check oil every 2 hours and fuel it back up 😊
thank you for great video...where can we buy the gaskets and parts....?
Replacement can be purchased at amzn.to/3GpQIIp
Thank you!
Excellent tutorial . Thank you i appreciate it.
I appreciate that!~ Thanks for watching!

Definitely a common one, they sit for so long and get just a little surface rust on the valve stem and will throw the push rod right on. Great job!
Great video... thanks

Thanks, how can I clean out the gas tank? It's empty on fuel but trash on the bottom on the tank looking in. But did start on starting fluid spray
I would drain and then use compressed air to blow it out
@IndRepair ok thanks, it's bone dry already on the bottom little rust on the bottom
@@nephewsque6751 Use compressed air to blow out debris then carburetor cleaner it and blow it out again

Definitely won't start without battery
If it’s been run a lot best to check valves gap just to make sure it’s ready for the long run time that’s coming
Never a bad idea on these engines with the tolerances being so tight
I get spark. Using starting fluid still wont start. Do you have a video of next step

Awesome job!
Good Video. Where can I get a replacement Carburetor?
Link updated in the description
What is the carb part number ??
Thank You 😊
We have them under R420-III
I realise had was turn off at the beginning turn on after cleaning cab
Definitely!
Nice gift.
It sure was! Thanks for watching!
Have a generator no spark unplug the wire from the coil and then it has spark I'm confused
Wire is grounding out the coil possibly low oil shutdown issue?
Is that something that has to be replaced

@IndRepair thank you sir
@IndRepair if I unplug the wire what am I suppose to see

Great tip

Your choke plate isnot connected. I bet you if you put that back it will start
Haha with the way the needle is wedged into the seat and the solenoid being stuck there was no was this one was starting without some go go juice
