Hunter Southern Breeze 42" ceiling fan in new bronze. I got this fan for free from my boss, it was replaced with a new fan on a job he did last week and he thought I might like to have it. Reportedly the light kit pullchain was not working, and that's why it was being replaced. I ended up finding that the wattage limiter (not surprisingly) had burned up, and now everything is working fine since I bypassed and removed the limiter. It's a pretty low-end fan, but I have to just give it a little credit and say that it's not the worst newer fan I've dealt with. It's got some actual power on high speed, and does move more air than I anticipated. The bearings have a little bit of a whirring noise to them, it seems to get better after the fan runs for a bit, but is evident nonetheless. Other than that, it's very quiet, and while it is a cheaper fan, my expectations were exceeded with this one.
I no longer own this fan.

Looks quite nice for a newer Hunter

if this is from Menards, the model name is Quiet Breeze.

Couldn't tell you where it came from and no longer have it to cross-reference the model number, so it'll stand as-is.

It looks cheaper than older Hunter fans that used to share a similar appearance, however I think it looks nice for what it is. Looks like your basic, classic Hunter fan aside from the switch housing. Can't complain about the appearance, I like how this looks a lot more than most of the current line.

it a reason you don't start a fan on High first?

If I start with high, I have to wait awhile longer for it to spin down to the next speed. I typically like to show each speed for about one minute (excludes Casablanca Inteli•Touch fans) to keep things concise and consistent. Starting with low speed, I can precisely time how long each speed is shown, because they usually get up to the next speed within seconds.

it just looks cheap. Every time I go to Menards and see this fan thats all I think about how cheap this fan looks and what hunter used to be.
