Each music video of theirs has a concept, they don’t just “cramp”everything they can together, everything is planned throughly and is a very long process. They take music videos seriously as well the music and choreography to perform. Kpop has multiple different genres and it’s not recommended to compare groups because each group have their own thing going on and it’d be problematic to all be the “same”. Stray kids are special in their own way because they’re the only K-pop group who produces their own music, meaning they have complete control over their own music that they release instead of the company they’re in. Not only that, but they’re known to have “loud experimental noise music” and not the usual pop people expect, which is why’re their so popular in the 4th generation of K-pop, currently on top. For the guy mentioned as the “bass” of their group, is Felix, aka the guy with the deepest voice in K-pop currently. He’s a big attribute to their music. And regarding you talking about one of the guy’s weight, weight is a VERY sensitive topic, especially in Korea, which I recommend you don’t talk about, with the “meat on bones” thing. I think you forget that Idols are humans, meaning they deserve respect. It’s more easy to focus on their hard work, talent, performance, etc. they do that’s showcased in this music video. Just some things to educate you on. I get that K-pop might not be your thing because you automatically assume it’s just pop, which is why you’re so hesitant like other people to even give it a try. Most people, especially non korean-speakers, listen just for the vibes, we don’t read the lyrics every time we listen to it. That’d be a hassle.

    Nobody is copying anybody.
In K-pop there is different generations and bts is 3rd and stray kids is 4th.
Keep in mind for further knowledge to not compare different groups to each other
Both groups have their own styles and vibe they want to achieve.
With subtitles there are English translations lyric video so you can focus on the lyrics later.

Thank you for the reaction. I hope you react to more Stray Kids in the future. It’s okay to not know everything when you first jump in. Move past the people who got offended because you didn’t know, and just enjoy the next song. Please ask questions. The fans will happily recommend songs and answer genuine curiosity. Stray Kids have a vast and varied discography and are about to cross the 300 songs mark. They are prolific producers of their own music, and blend genres & musical styles, so there is something for everyone, every age, every mood. We have metalheads and ballad lovers in the same fandom. STAY are diverse and passionate about Stray Kids and will show up if you respect the music. Enjoy the ride!

Stopping and starting every 3 seconds is not conducive to a balanced critique you seem more interested in listening to yourself instead so l suggest you give KPop a wide berth if you can’t at least pretend to have a bit of respect for an artist Oh by the way their album is no 1 on the Billboard 200

Stray Kids are very experimental guys, they produce themselves. In South Korea, their music is called construction, noisy because their music doesn't sound like typical k-pop.
If you want rap from these guys, it could be "muddy water" (old school rap, performed by four members, there's that guy with the low voice, his name is Felix), "topline" (feat with Tiger JK- the godfather of rap), "maze of memories" (rap by all members)"easy", "megaverse", and from their production sub unit 3racha
, "heyday", "zone", "3racaha", "we go" are all
hip hop, and they also have the fastest rapper in the k-pop industry, Changbin. You can listen to his solo "doodle" or his feat with Milli and F.Hero (they are Thai rappers) "mirror mirror". well, if something is experimental from the guys, it's "Jjam" (electronics) from the older works "Side effects" (this is the first k-pop work combining itself, Hip-hop, Electronica and Psychedelic trance), "The Tortoise and the Hare" (the song was written by one of the participants in drunkenness, this song is underrated). "Cover me" (strong vocals)"Lose My Breath" (the whole song is in English, as a feat with Charlie Puth), they also have work with Lil Durk remix on "all my life".Deadpool himself also appears in the "chk chk boom" video, as the band's leader Bangchan is friends with Ryan, of course they have many other genre songs, well, I think it's worth stopping for now. They also have the soundtrack to deadpool, "slash," which set off a fire there, as well as rap. If it's hard for you to watch the clip and read the text, then there is a video crystallization on TH-cam (who sings what where, and the translation)

This is great, but as a stay, if I could just correct something, Changbin isn't the fastest rapper in the kpop industry, although he does have some of the faster raps. Kpop rappers like Zico of BlockB and You of Ablue have actually done faster raps. I'm always down to praise the boys, but accuracy's important too!

How can you listen to the song? 😂😂😂 you stopped every couple of seconds. Not trying to be mean, but I’ve seen reactors see their full video and have no copyright issues. JYP isn’t going after reactors, now other companies you might need to pause this much.
SKZ is NOT another BTS. They are very different. I don’t like BTS but love Stray Kids. I don’t have anything against BTS it’s just not my type of music.
BTS did not do it first. Kpop has been around since the 90s.
If you don’t like to read lyrics then they have a wide variety of English songs. They explore different genres so typically there’s a song people will relate to. If you take the time to listen to the song fully 😂, no pausing, then you might find something you enjoy. This comeback was very controversial because it’s a hip hop comeback. Most kpop listeners don’t like hip hop comebacks.
You can also just read the lyrics after seeing the video like most people do, that way it at least looks like you’re interested and doesn’t leave a feeling that you’re being forced.
    English songs:
Lose my breath (Stray Kids version)
    Domino (English version)
    Railway (Bang Chan solo version)
    Double Knot
    Levanter
Their best songs not in English:
    God’s Menu
    Lalalala
    Maniac
    Red Lights
    Topline
    And more…
If you tell us what you like we could probably find a song.

Thank you for checking out k-pop and Stray Kids. I think you need a lot of education in regards to k-pop. First all, The term "K-pop" has been used to describe a "genre," when it's simply a generic, catchall term for popular music that comes from Korea. It's not an ideal word, especially since it doesn't acknowledge the diversity of musical styles within the industry and the visual elements that often go hand-in-hand with the music. Rather than approach K-pop as a genre, a better approach would be ‘integrated content.' K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements come together in a visual and auditory content package.
rule 1. Never compare k-pop groups. K-pop fans can be harsh at times and will protect their idols at any cost. Just a waring to beware.
Every k-pop group or idol are different. Some are ballad or vocal focus, some are rock bands with instruments, some rap heavy, They are all different. Most have trained from 8-1 years, in all aspects of entertainment. Not all k-pop groups create their own music only very few do and have to adhere to company rules and schedules. It is different for BTS and Stray Kids and a few other groups who create their own music. But Stray Kids goes further they have more creative control over what they produce. Because they create and produce their onw music they release more content per year 2-3 albums and love to experiment with their music. They can all sing, all dance and all rap. They love to mix vocals with rap. They have their own unique sound. Stray Kids also has 2 members from Australia, where English is their first language. All the members speak, and read in vary degrees of the English language and in the Japanese language where they also have Japanese albums.
Most Kpop m/v's have a goal and that is telling a story of the song, and not throwing random things in a m/v to reach certain audiences. Even the choro will match the lyrics of the song. It is a one stop complete entertainment package you get with k-pop. Amazing music, to fit your every taste buds, great dancing or entertainment. I hope you check out more stray kids and kpop.
love to see your reaction to Chk Chk Boom and LaLaLaLa (primates)
I take that back don't check out stray kids. you closed minded little brain can't handle reading subtitles.
You are the one missing out good music, just because you don't like reading subtitles. And you pause way to much.

Check out god's menu by stray kids next they are different from other groups too they produce and write everything themselfs and please don't compare groups. People can be stans of many groups like bts and stray kids like you mentioned they both are so talented groups check bts mic drop it's not pop in which you fell to believe what K-pop is!

I’m sure your sister would know what you like best, but I have a couple suggestions if you are still willing to give them a try:
      1. rap: Topline! Pirate Vibes too
      2. kind of latin/reggaeton-inspired: Chk Chk Boom. A recent big hit, genuinely one of my favorite things they’ve ever released
      3. J-Rock: Social Path ft LiSA, a popular Japanese singer.
      4. A crazy music video: Jjam is the most recent one that made me say WOW, but they’ve got lots, including Super Bowl and Christmas Evel (seasonally appropriate? Haha)
Even if you don’t react again, thank you for reading my comment! I liked your video a lot, it’s always interesting to see how people interpret stray kids.

thanks for checking them out! just a few things: its ok to question but dont assume. i suggest you dont pigeonhole kpop thinking its a 'genre', thats like saying hollywood is a genre, its just wrong. maybe look more into kpop? skz have their own sound! Also, dont compare groups because each have their own thing going on and it can cause fanwars lol. Especially bts and skz since those are one of the biggest groups out there rn. (bts being litterally the biggest group in the world)
if you dont want to listen to something where you need to read then idk why you try to listen to kpop? its obv gonna be majorly in korean, also lyrics with skz are important because they always try to bring a message.
no one is copying anyone, kpop started somewhere around the 90's with sao taji and boys, where they danced to western influenced songs, and that started the kpop industry we have today.
im not trying to sound rude because ppl new to kpop will have prejudices and/or a lot of questions, or get the wrong ideas abt things since kpop can be a lot to digest, overall great reaction! :)

Just listen to the music and enjoy and read it later then go back. Also I know you're reacting but it seems like you pause every 4sec so I'm not sure how you could possibly even feel the song. Also no one is eminem.

  • @EmmieUniverse
    @EmmieUniverse 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

Seo Taiji and boys did it first. They were the very beginning of the kpop industry in the 90s. BTS was a group that started in 2013, but in no way did they invent the wheel. They were influenced by groups like Big Bang before them. BTS is the biggest group in the world for many reasons. Stray kids started in 2017/2018 and are a very different group than BTS. While kpop is still kpop because it's not just music but also dance, MV's, reality shows, fanservice, merch etc, every group is different.
There's no copying. If you get into kpop you'll know that BTS and Stray Kids are both such big names that there is no copying. They both fill their own niche.
And no they're not Eminem. Like Eminem is not them either lmao. Changbin can actually rap much faster than Eminem, not that being fast is the sole thing that makes a great rapper.
You should give kpop a chance. It's really fun and stray kids is a great group. They're considered to be amazing producers and have won awards for producing. They're known for their own genre of music, Mala Taste.

Ah some info on SKZ for you..
    They debuted in 2018
    They are ages 23 - 27
    Fandom name is Stay
    #2 Best Selling Artist in U.S 2023
    #3 Globally Best Selling 2023
They are unique for several reasons...
First, the leader Bang Chan was allowed by JYP to hand pick all of the members himself. They were not placed together in a traditional way, by the company.
Second all of them are all arounders. They can all sing, rap, dance, produce and write.
Third, they have written and produced about 99% of their music.
Numbers of songs each member has copyrighted according to Korean Music Association (KOMCA) so far...
    Bang Chan 200
    Changbin 172
    Han 164
    Hyunjin 27
    Felix 23
    I.N 21
    Seungmin 20
    Lee Know 17
While they can all do everything they do have 3 different subunits...
3Racha... Bang Chan, Chang Bin and Han which are the main producers and lyricists. They are always credited as 3Racha.
    3Racha Achievements
    - Producers of Consecutive Six Time Billboard 200 #1 album debuts - only group in history
    - Hot 100 Hitmakers
    - 3rd, 9th, 11th Most Credited Idols on KOMCA
    - Produced Albums Sold Over 20 Million Copies
    - Japan Hot 100 Hitmakers
    - 100+ Weeks on Hot 100 Lyricists
    - 100+ Weeks On Hot 100 Composers
    - 2023 Asia Artist Awards Best Creator
    - Makers of Time Magazines 2020 #8 Best Song (their song Backdoor)
Danceracha... Lee Know (in charge of leading dance practices), Felix and Hyunjin. They also contribute to the choreography.
    Vocalracha... Seungmin and I.N
While the songs are hype they always have significant meaning to them. Their lyricism is always insane.
Since they are so experimental their sound has its own genre and they have a very diverse discography.
Example... Gods Menu, Back Door and Case 143 all completely different sounds.
Recommend, if you want to listen to some more. Here are some with different sounds...
    Gods Menu (their most popular)
    Chk Chk Boom
    Thunderous

Most Stay [SKZ fandom name] are always happy to see new folks being open to a different sounds that they are used to. Music being universal & all, but with that does come with some measure of respect toward these artists. I see that other folks have mention that K-Pop [& J-pop] are a big industry. If you are really interested in exploring this group or other ones, please continue but I would like to 'suggest' for PEACE sake, TRY not to compare groups. Just enjoy whatever group you are listening to. I understand that not knowing the language can make know the song more difficult to understand but a lot of people [reactors or new folks] would listen through once, then comment on the second go round or use a music lyric video that has English translations listed though sometime that the more correct but it's something, then watch the MV
    - Since Stray Kids [SKZ] write & produce their own music, they even have there own producer subunit called 3Racha. They like to dip their toes in TONS of different genres and moods. Their songs have used EDM, trap, jazz, old school boombap, Bossa Nova, ballad, hard rock, Latin, soft rock, traditional Asian elements, lighthearted songs, really dark songs, classical music elements, and much, much more. And they're not afraid to make some experimental songs, even if they know those particular songs may not be huge commercial successes. They have written and sung on OSTs/animes/K-dramas, like "Tower of God" or LOL Arcane S2 [Come Play] and even have a song on the soundtrack of Deadpool x Wolverine called Slash.
    - They also have a number of songs that have a healthy sense of fun & humor in them. Their songs are sung in all English, or all Korean, or all Japanese, or a combo of Korean/English or Japanese/English. SKZ have a lot of fans in Latin America & will be doing stadium tours in 2025 down there. Your sister probably has a better idea on what kind/type of music you would like but try God's Menu, Easy, Chk Chk Boom, Venom, or Thunderous for a variety.🖖🏽

Some comments mentioned BTS 3rd generation and SKZ is 4th, let me explain what that means. There’s about a 5 to 6 year age difference between generations, BTS are in their 30s while SKZ are mid 20s. I personally don’t care if groups are compared as long as there is no disrespect. Some fans can be toxic but the boys themselves all like and respect each other and that’s what counts.
Thank you for listening to our boys SKZ, the only criticism I have is think of us the viewers who watch because we love their music, we like to see you watch the entire mv with just a pause or 2, not every 2 seconds. Follow that rule and you’ll gain a lot of viewers if you decide to listen to more of their music. Try and welcome the eastern part of the world even though it’s not English like you’re used to. Thanks 🙂

Since you asked for some background education about Kpop bands I can share my somewhat limited knowledge since I'm pretty new to it. Kpop bands are generally referred to by their generation so 1st generation, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and I think currently 5th or 6th is the latest. It's determined by when the band debuted. Idols train for a period of time before they debut, if they ever do, so they can literally train for years and some never debut. They train for many hours every day, often while still attending school, and it can include singing, rapping, dancing, languages and so many other aspects to prepare for their life as idols. Since you asked, BTS was 3rd gen and Stray Kids is 4th gen. Stray Kids debuted in 2018 and are currently aged 24 to 27. I don't know when BTS debuted, I'll leave that to someone with more knowledge on them. My favorite is of course Stray Kids which is how I happened to find this video but I respect the incredible amount of dedication that all kpop idols have and the ridiculously hard work and sacrifices they have made and at such a young age. Stray Kids members themselves will credit their seniors and always pay them respect. Kpop bands will of course have similarities in that they are all very talented and may sing, rap, dance, play instruments, etc but each have their own style and each have their own fans. Some fans like more than one group and many idols are in reality friends with idols from other bands. Bands will also frequently cover earlier generation songs in award shows or music show performances as Stray Kids has done, including BTS songs, just like newer bands have covered Stray Kids songs. They will also do dance challenges and occasionally team up with other idols and have special stage collaborations as Stray Kids did for the Kingdom show and for numerous other shows. There is also a lot of other content that will have idols interacting with each other. As for style some bands may focus more on vocals, some on raps, some on instruments just like in Western music. Kpop really just is a term to encompass music popular in Korea, it is not referring to the genre of pop as Western music does. There are boy and girl kpop bands, even the occasional that have both male and female members, and there is a lot of variety between bands, again as in Western music. But most bands will sing and/or rap primarily in Korean since that is their native language. Although all members of Stray Kids are of Korean ethnicity two members are Australian in nationality. Bang Chan and Felix, his real English name btw since he was born in Australia, are native English speakers. They have some songs all in English, some in Japanese, occasionally some French and Spanish but they almost always have some English in their songs. All members sing, dance, rap, write and produce their own music with 3Racha, consisting of Bang Chan, Changbin and Han, doing most. Bang Chan has over 200 songs to his credit alone. Changbin and Han are just behind that. The member with the deep voice is Felix and he will often be used in that capacity but he has a crazy range including a honey singing voice all the way to a beautiful falsetto. He is a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton and just walked the runway for them this year. The other member you mentioned is Hyunjin and he is a global ambassador for Versace and Cartier. The man on the pony is Bang Chan and he is the leader. He selected all the members personally at the age of 20 after training for seven years. Fun fact, Changbin, the first rapper in the white football jersey, is one of the fastest rappers in the world slightly beating out Eminem. This is their title track for their latest release, their third release of this year not counting singles and collaborations, and most of their title tracks tend to be very high energy hard hitting songs . However their b sides could be any genre. They also have numerous OSTs including for Deadpool Wolverine movie, Korean dramas and animes including Tower of God and Arcane and Felix will feature in Solo Leveling season 2 in January. Since you mentioned Spanish you may be interested in Come Play from Arcane as it features a good bit of Spanish from their collab Young Miko, also featuring legendary guitarist Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine, etc. They are great live and just headlined Lollapalooza Chicago, iDays and BST Hyde Park. They're currently on a world stadium tour covering 48 cities in Asia, Australia, Latin America, North America, Europe and the UK. For English songs you could check out Superbowl, Top, Levanter, Youtiful, Lose My Breath, Double Knot, Slump. Felix has solo songs Deep End and Unfair. Bang Chan has solo songs Railway and Connected. Unfortunately if you don't like reading subtitles there isn't much else you can do since I think all kpop is primarily in Korean as it is generally their native language with some exceptions. Some people react to the lyrics and then the mv or vice versa if you want to try that. Hope this helps.

Okay well maybe just listen to the song throughout so that you can really get a feel for it seems like you're not really listening to much btw Hyunjin the guy you think needs meat on his bones is actually quite muscular he's just tall and wearing oversized clothes makes him seem skinny just some info no hate but kpop is not for everyone if you don't get it forget about it. We can do without you reacting to kpop rather stick to what you know cause the fandom can get wild and I don't think you'll be able to handle the amount of criticism that might come your way for not being respectful towards the artist thanks.

Thank you for reacting to StrayKids.
However, I have to advice you to not clamp all K-pop group in one box. K-pop isn't a genre per say it's more a box to describe Korean music in western country. Each and every group of K-pop has their concept and style of music and comparing them is pretty disrespectful. For example : Twice and Babymonster are both girl group in the K-pop industry but they have completly different concept / music styles. Same here with BTS and Stray Kids. Both are great both are different. Don't compare them only because it's the only K-pop group you know of. It's like saying Kendrick and Eminem are one and the same because they rap.
Aslo, as said before, It's pretty disrespectful to talk about weight in any culture, i don't know why you bring that up. But if you bring it up, pay much attention to your words because in Korea weight is such a big issue. Some idols indeed starves themself for the "ideal korean body". Don't forget they are humans and maybe you don't care if people comment on your wieght but some maybe don't.
With this out of the way :
If you want more info : Stray kids are a self produced group (Which is rare in K-pop ) Changbin, Han and BangChan are known under the 3racha name. They produce and make lyrics for almost 99% of all the songs of the group. BangChan (the leader) has more than 140 credited songs (and has train for 7 long years), Changbin and Han have almost the same count around 150 and 160 songs. But as of today, all members are starting to make their own songs.

If you want to discover them they have a song called "FAM" where they describe each other. It's rly good and it's footage of them on stage.

They are 8 members and have a unique fact about them : they don't have roles because they are multi talented. (In k-pop, a group is divided in roles : vocals : the ones singing, rap line : the one rapping and dance line : the ones dancing. It implies that if they are one they aren't good at the other twos) They were also all recruited by BangChan (unique way of creating a group. In K-pop it's the agency who decides which member will form a group based on the concept of the group.)

If you like their songs, they have a big big catalog and they use a lot of music styles. They also have a lot of content on youtube like behind the stage / MV or lives and a lot of covers; ect. If the dance part interests you, they have dance practices there too ! You could check the one for "Domino","Easy" and a lot more !
here are some reccomendation if you are interrested :
    You can try :
With MVs : Christmas EveL, Megaverse, S-class, Venom, Thunderous, Top line, Gods Menu, Mountain, Levanter, Double Knot, Hellevator, Case 143, LALALALA, Cheese, Freeze, the sound, Time's out, Question, Astronaut, Topline, Easy, SuperBoard, get lit, Circus, All in, Maknae on top, up on night, StrayKids, ect
without MVs you have : Bounce back, U, Awaken, Rock, Hall of fame, Item, Domino, COMFLEX, blind spot.
If you prefer more melodic and less "noisy" songs try : Cover me, Chill, Collision, Can't stop, Limbo, Stars and raindrops, Leave, FNF, Streetlight, Youtiful, Leave, U, Twillight, ect.
And if rap is what you're into try : Heyday (3racha), 3RACHA, We go, Any, Muddy water, Tortoise and the Hare and so much more !
I hope you will be discovering stray kids and it will be fun.

You paused absolutely too much. Maybe you should not react to K-pop. It's amazing that millions of people love Stray Kids and they are breaking records right and left, including Billboard 100. They've won top awards. They tour in the US and other countries. They have worked hard and have accomplished so much.
You're way too critical of something you don't understand. You have not seen any of their works so you cannot compare them to other rappers, dancers or singers. I find your reaction annoying and probably won't hang around for others. There are others out there who make more educated reactions ... and they don't pause every 3 seconds.
You need to give them a fair listen. Give k-pop a fair listen.
    -- I'm out.

STRAY KIDS of Course. Basta con lo de BTS, no hay necesidad de comparar porque afortunadamente estos chicos NO se parecen en nada a los americanizados BTS.
