Well fought Jet. Tyr was right in the first fight when he says "you'll beat me when you're ready. When your mind and body move as one." I think it was intentionally designed for you to experience failure. I believe they wanted the DLC to feel like life or more specifically therapy. So I died like 3 times in the first Tyr fight and kept getting angry just like you did and hated the structure of the DLC but then I really listened to Tyr and slowed down and just let myself feel and experience the fight on my 4th run. I only began winning when I stopped trying to win- and instead began thinking of the fight as an opportunity to learn and get better. Tyring to win only hurt me, which I think was the whole point. Every time you go in, every time you put in the effort to learn- you get better. You give yourself the opportunity to go further with each attempt. Even watching you on your final try I saw you weren't getting angry when you made a mistake, you forgave yourself, you hoped. You won.
Jett really not fully understanding the concept of what a roguelite is and that dying is part of the process. I think he just views dying as resetting your progress back to zero but in roguelites you never really get your progress fully reset as you get better and better gear each run.
For sure but I do understand where he's coming from. Ragnarok's combat can be INSANELY slow at times and I don't really think it lends itsself well to the roguelike genre, especially compared to say Hades
Went into Valhalla fully expecting to die over and over, I picked Give Me Prowess so I had a decently rough time fighting the new enemies (especially Týr) but once I saw and learned all of the enemies attacks it felt a little easier other than making a few mistakes that cost me a run. I think my mindset of just relaxing and enjoying Valhalla for the tough fights is what really helped me to get through it, I think trying to be an optimist is the best thing you could keep in mind. When you die, instead of thinking that you have to go back to the beginning and start all over, instead think of what caused you to die and how to mitigate or prevent said problem. Not fully utilizing all of the 3 weapons attacks and skills is also a problem I see other people experiencing.
It’s a bummer for sure. I hoped he’d have more fun. It kind of doesn’t help that, as he got more frustrated, he was going straight for the chosen ones instead of the other glyph doors for extra perks. Some of the perks make runs an absolute cheese fest on mastery.
1. Up until this point Kratos had basically been compartmentalising his past and current self. But he knew deep down that he was always in danger of falling back into his old ways, this is why he was so hesitant to help Freya rebuild the realms by effectively becoming a god again. But here, at the end, we see Kratos finally accept that his past and current self are not 2 people, but rather one very deeply scared person who has to finally accept himself if he wants to truly move on. 2. I love the lighting in the final shot of Kratos on the throne, it makes his skin look normal, as if the ashes , his greatest regret, are no longer there or ,at least, he finally let it go. 3. Appreciate that they acknoweldged that Kratos, even though he was a victim of the greek pantheon's manipulation, stopped being a victim once he started killing innocents by the hundreds withoit a care even when it cost him nothing to just *not* do it.

I can't lie, I did the same thing. I came from games where specials take a long time to come back, so I assumed I needed to wait for the right moment to use it. Wish I wasn't so stupid
I wonder, did he only ever beat 6 chosen before facing Tyr EVERY time? Because that’s just dumb. There’s up to 14 encounters you can face in the Greek labyrinth. Each one gives you more currency and more rewards so you can get as powerful as possible before facing Tyr. When I finally beat the final Tyr fight I did all 14 and my build and stats were insane. I was going ham on Tyr at that point. Getting better and stronger each run was so satisfying. I never got frustrated because I knew I was playing better personally but that each of those runs simply reaching Tyr gave me so many rewards that I knew I would be even stronger the next run. I’ve beaten Tyr multiple times in the post game already. Now to be fair I’ve been on Give me Courage, but now I’m finally bumping up to Prowess and then Mastery after that. This DLC is so much fun.
I don’t think he knows about it? I didn’t until I watched someone’s walkthrough…. Also I think in the beginning you’re trying your best to get to 6 and have enough health to avoid dying before Tyr and redoing everything again. During a few more runs I got confident enough to get through more than 7 then I did 8 on another run and so Fort. I think I powered so much that I started not caring for the timer and just exploring the fog like maze. Ive ended up completing everything.
@@ShellzSD yeah I understand that, but that’s exactly the thing. Each long run you get increasingly more permanent upgrades and each additional chosen you defeat makes you more an more OP. It’s like you’re getting stronger exponentially with powerful perks and stat boosts stack long on top of each other. There’s way to heal up whether it’s through perks or the tablet. Then your fight with Tyr becomes much easier being able to tank and deal much more damage.
Seeing tyr fight is all I needed loved his design from the first trailer a long time ago and I just knew he was gonna be cold, it’s always the humble ones with the nastiest powers
It's funny how Jettro says "hair pulling difficulty like this is for the Dark Souls guys" when Gna is a way more frustrating and difficult boss fight than the majority of Dark Souls bosses.

whole point of the dlc was to do more then 6 of valhallas chosen in the greek area, additionally you made it way harder for yourself by mainly using the blades. The spear is overpowered against Tyr and the Axe against mini bosses while the Blades are best for minions.

this DLC is just therapy for kratos and mimir
It certainly ain't therapy for me 😭
I wonder, did he only ever beat 6 chosen before facing Tyr EVERY time?
Then your fight with Tyr becomes much easier being able to tank and deal much more damage.
i love how jett kept complaining instead of just locking in
he kept vitality/health at LEVEL 1 the whole time omfg
Seeing tyr fight is all I needed loved his design from the first trailer a long time ago and I just knew he was gonna be cold, it’s always the humble ones with the nastiest powers
It's funny how Jettro says "hair pulling difficulty like this is for the Dark Souls guys" when Gna is a way more frustrating and difficult boss fight than the majority of Dark Souls bosses.
For me any god of war or dmc game on the hardest difficulty is more challenging then any souls game
“A God of war he no longer is, God of Hope he has become. “🐐
Just so you know, Jettro...Young Kratos's appearance, his entire Greek armor set, along with the Blade of Olympus rage....you can use all of it in the story mode and in Valhalla.
Santa Monica Studio....well frickin done 👏👏👏
I start clapping when I see that notification man haven't felt this way since the stampylonghead days
Imagine if he went to the highest Greek arena to fight the berserkers 💀
39:45 that’s what I’m doing rn💀
That fight did it for me idec anymore😭
If Sindri's leading the next God of War game, I wouldn't complain 😂
The far cry 3 quote fit in so perfectly
I’m a new fan but your editing and rage moments really worked well together.
This dlc is insanity
“It is not my first time”
Info was clear enough, hazard for enemies, like it was so obvious lmaooooooo
"sit on that again PAUSE" 💀
I'VE BEEN WAITING ALL DAY FOR THIS!!
Jettro was definitely ready by the end to beat Tyr for the final time but he definitely needs a hug man😂 poor guy went through hell way too many times
Thank you, Jet, for doing this gauntlet and giving us entertainment. Keep up the great content man.
1:01:20 the way my heart sank bro😂 THAT MAN JETT LOCKED TF IN
This is honestly my favorite DLC ever.
There's more to the dlc but you're gonna have to go again 😂
I would love to see Jett play getting over it ❤
Man fk the black bear drip.. glory of Sparta and NG+ rn! 😂
Also when he walked out the Valhalla doors w the axe over his shoulder.. see how that resembles his shrine after Ragnarok where he is crying?
LEZZ GOOOOOOO!! WHEN I WOKE UP I LITERALLY WAITED FOR JETTRO TO POST PART 2!!
Edit: Also I hope that he finds the "secret" skin for Kratos 😉
EPISODE 2?? Omg I just woke up thank you for the new video
bro u chose the hard dificulty hahaha. I chose the medium one and had a nice time, beated Tyr 4 times in a roll, 4 x 0 for me.
this man suffered enough, nice video.
Dedication is crazy
You earned a sub bro
Btw you can now use young kratos in new game +go to armour menu section and i think its R3 to change appearance and if im correct you can use blade of Olympus in new game + just check your fury options
Bro got absolutely humbled rip.
People getting petty when they realize they’re not actually good at a game will always been fun to watch lol. Good video my dude
Bro this is this fun content fr
Like sooo fun,I honestly get excited whenever Jetro drops a video,It's just that good
Love you jetro, keep up the great work buddy
Bro I love Jettro for suffering for us that man was locked in
54:00 had me LMAO 😂😂😂😂😂😂🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you for going thru this. Liked
I am literally still crying laughing over that shit omg 😂
Jett I just want to say you make amazing content that’s all 😂
whole point of the dlc was to do more then 6 of valhallas chosen in the greek area, additionally you made it way harder for yourself by mainly using the blades. The spear is overpowered against Tyr and the Axe against mini bosses while the Blades are best for minions.
my man I really enjoy the effort you put into your editing. You always make me laugh with that. keep it up bro your amazing
