But Brianna brother just passed, so she is still mourning his loss. And Christina who was always injured finally made the team. These women are so strong and faithful to their talents. May God bless them all.

These sports are not only physical, they are mental too. Its hard to balance the 2 sometimes especially when you are going through so much. GOD BLESS THESE BEAUTIFUL LADIES!

Which God/god?.. most of these athletes are so covered in tattoos that it blows my mind.. GODS people are prohibited from carving marks/holes/scars on their bodies..ie: no tattoos. no nose/ear/tongue rings. I guess they never read the word of GOD.

Wow. 8:44 shows pretty clearly that it was Clemons' picture-perfect lean that got her on the team. Cunningham's lower body actually crossed the line before Clemons' lower body did.
Who cares? They've been getting SMOKED everywhere but the women's hundred. The real competition will come from the Puerto Rican chick, who went to UK like Keni.
Very very happy for Clemens. That pure emotional relief and happiness in her post race interview. As someone from the UK, the women’s hurdles for me is the toughest event to make the team for with such a huge amount of US talent. I really feel for Cunningham but her time will come too. Great race! The finals in Tokyo will be incredible, I can already see a stacked lineup!

lane 8 clearly crosses the line ahead of lane 6 AND is even if not ahead of lane 2 ( third and second place ) but i THINK they go by torso crossing the line - i dont know - does anybody know the rules
Even though they had the same time, the girl whose torso leaned 1st got the 3rd place finish. No 4th place finish gets to be on the team because there are only three medals Gold, Silver, Bronze
Not likely. McNeal is probably going to get a doping ban, which is why they were very careful to make sure to have a contingency plan (and Cunningham will be preparing just as if she's going to get the spot).
@@fas6058 Oh, I get what you're asking now. I believe top six, not top three, make the team in relay events (men's and women's 100 and 400). All of those relay-pool athletes will travel to Tokyo and practice with the team.
I've loved track and field since I was a young lad in L.A. in the 50s. A question though. Why do women wear the running shorts they do as opposed to the ones men wear. It's hard to believe that they actually give any significantly greater freedom of movement. If they did I presume men would be wearing them also. It seems to be a sexist thing as far as I can tell. I haven't heard any good reason for the difference. Obviously there are anatomical differences but nothing that couldn't be compensated for with garment design it seems.
