Jackie Kennedy Onassis is such a style icon. Dress as well as persona, even though she was styled she also was stylish. She is probably my favorite first lady. She had a quiet elegance, intelligent, but seemed approachable. Always having a smile on her face and interacting with people.
This is such good timing as I just finished reading “the JFK Conspiracy” book. I find it amazing that here we are so many decades later still in awe of her sheer class and simple elegance. Would love to see you discuss some of her iconic looks in a part 2. Thank you so very much.
I also liked Farah Dibah, the wife of the Shah of Iran, she was very westernised and very chic too. She still is. You could have shown more examples of Jacqueline Kennedy's style/outfits, this was a missed opportunity.
She understood the art of self promotion. The fascination of Americans by this cosmopolitan person was great. She had an international flair and looked at home in many surroundings. At the same time, I remember much criticism as well.
Hello Mariana, this was a very interesting video. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was an incredible woman who definitely deserves recognition. It is wonderful to see your videos again and to enjoy some time with you.
Thank you for the video! Always fun to watch a fashionable but very interesting person as JKO. Another one that comes to mind is perhaps Gloria Vanderbilt...
That’s a great story. The most amazing thing about it was ,her husband was murdered right in front of her ,in a car by the government. I don’t know how she got through all that I would’ve been so scared.
Fabulous video Mariana! You packed a lot into a little - not an easy task! If you have never read “What Jackie Taught Us” by Tina Santi Flaherty I can recommend it, I think you would enjoy it. Hope the family is all doing well - you are still glowing💐💐
She was not beautiful imo, at least not conventionally gorgeous. But look at her quiet confidence, posture, elegance, slimness (compare the frumpy other wives of politicians she met, they look like her mother!). I was young in the 70s and didn't appreciate her style, but at 58 I do now. How disappointing she ended up with Onassis, who striked me as a power-obsessed chauvinist.
Thank you for this tribute of Jackie! I adore the fact that back in the old days, women were famous for being fascinating ❤️

I believe she would have loved her daughter-in-law. Wonderful video.
Jackie was spectacular in so many ways.
Tk u Mariana, I will meditate on how to make mine these strengths. This video has changed my perspective on her, positively.
