Just bought one, its just as luxurious as my last mercedes. I wanna just hang out in it all day.
😂 great review but you kept calling that 5.0L V8 a “eco boost” the truck you’re reviewing has the v8 not the ecoboost
Picked up my one owner 2022 Lariat Fx4 today and it is beyond nice and plenty of power. Got a great warranty and man it drives so smooth. Plus I have the big 36gallon tank and pro trailer package for 13,900 pounds of towing. Love it so far.
We looked at the Tundra and both of us did not like the seats. The seats in the 1792 did feel a bit better, but the one we looked at had the battery bank under the rear seat which I did not like. Went with the 2023 F150 Lariat 5.0 with the FX4 package. Also, came with the 502A and the deployable steps. Other options were the B&O 18 speaker system, big fuel tank, 360 camera, and trailer tow pkg. We had been looking for 8 months for the right one and right time. The day we went to look at this one Ford had just come out with 2.9 for 72. So, we pulled the trigger. Had been looking for the Antimatter Blue
There are so many drawbacks or sacrifices in the new Tundra. It's a shame. Enjoy the new F150!
Thanks for the review. You touch on every aspect of this vehicle especially its reliability.
Its honestly incredible how luxurious the interiors are on the F-150s now compared to what they were. I'd argue though with the V6 and V8 argument that the difference in fuel economy is almost negligible
Do you know what the dents and dimples in the bed do? I’m sure someone thought them out.
I am considering getting a Tremor with the Coyote 5.0 however are the running boards removable? I hate them on a truck
Would you get the powerboost or too much more to break?
Great question. I think PowerBoost is probably ok. I mean, what's another "thing" I guess? Ford's design theory isn't like Toyota where "less is better". But frankly, I still think longevity will be fine on these trucks.
Ford does have a factory spray in Bedliner option. Mine came with ford wheel liners from the factory too.
When I was talking with a couple dealerships in VA, the claim was that you can get a spray in bed liner from dealership but they have a team that does it. In other words, Ford wasn't deliverying any trucks that had it in there. I also don't see it as a line item in their accessory list but if yours came with all of that, that's awesome!
Nice review, but just an FYI, that's a. 8 cylinder 5.0 Coyote, not a 6 cylinder ecoboost.
Yes it is. That was corrected after filming but didn't get into the edit. We stuck with the info on the V6 because that seems to be the more common engine for the F150s. I'll second that the v6 Turbos do have better pickup, too. For what that's worth.
Nice review, but damn did someone with a Tundra do you wrong ?😂 The new Tundra is a great truck, coming from an F150 driver
Haha. Thanks. I had two new Tundras before switching to an F150 Tremor. I can understand what some people apprecaite about the new Tundra but for me, when comparing it to the F150, the Ford just takes the cake.
Tundra payload and towing capacity sucks compared to F150. A max tow package isn’t offered on Tundras.
I have 2023 lariat and the max speed is 120, but it does not not go faster than 103, I pressed the pedal to the metal but it just would not go any faster, does anybody know why?
What do you mean max speed is 120? Because that's what it says on the Speedo? lol
The new tundras aren't perfect but its a good truck and they're the best looking truck in my opinion. Well 2nd best i really like the look of the new GM trucks.
Side note
Thats not the 3.5 ecoboost engin in that Ford! Thats the 5.0 V8 coyoto engine.
I do like the looks of the new Tundra - agree'd they're one of the best looking trucks you can get.
Good review.
My humble suggestion, the camera is, the majority of the time, on You.... Not on the vehicle,...focus more on the vehicle with the same commentary ..... take it leave as a suggestion.
Thanks for the feedback Patrick. I'll try and showcase the product more ;)
Umm, like the Toyota, there is a factory bedliner as an option.
UMMM 🙄 - Wasn't available on my build out, and while I'm not 100% sure, I believe Ford 3rd parties it and that it's not "FoMo factory" but I may be wrong on this.
I used to have an ecoboost and that thing will nickel and dime you to death. Very unreliable, always broke down. Needed several major repairs before 100k miles. Went with a 5.0 for my 2023 and couldn't be happier. Looks exactly like the one in your video. The new tundras are trash, they already have 7 recalls.
This guy doesn’t know his engines. This is the V8, not the eco boost engine.
Late to the game, dude. I've discussed this with others in the comment section ad nauseam.
What do you think of the new 2023 Ford F150 Lariat?!
