@@ncmariofan3605 The face matches are very easy if you take a picture of it before it starts. Even in the harder ones, where more of the picture disappears, you can take a few pictures as it fades. You can then keep referring back to the pics as you place the pieces. But yeah, it is hard if you choose to do it by memory.
@@mariogamefreak1 it doesn't count as making it easy if it's not the intended way. The intended way is hard because it requires > 50 basically frame-perfect jumps.
The circle-tracing moons get easy once you use the visual references on the ground and nearby environment (like the crater in the Moon Kingdom). I also found out you can use a ground pound to make the sheep jump in those herding levels, which makes them A LOT easier to control.
That said, the Dark Side moons are definitely the hardest.

Long Journey's end isn't that frustrating. Vanishing Road and Breakdown Road are easily more frustrating. I'm also surprised you didn't feature the actual most frustrating moon Jump Rope Genius. It's boring, doesn't use any skills you develop over the rest of the game and feels arbitrary and random.

I didn't get that frustrated at that one, as it only took me a few tries. But I think I just got lucky as I didn't really feel I was doing anything particularly well to win it.
Totally agree with rope genius. It's by far the most frustrating moon to get. l spent hours to get 100 jumps and i still didn't manage to pass beyond 69 jumps! And the constant repeat process makes you feel like you're not progressing at all
DekuLord althought i think that the beach volleyball moon is equaly frustrating than the rope genius, if not more. For the rope genius, you have to get a rythm for the jump and keep it once it reach max speed. The volleyball send random rebound and any lose is because you miss the ball by an inche
I found vanishing road and breakdown road some of the easiest moons I got, why is everyone saying it’s so hard??

After 2 years of playing this game, I finally got the 999 moons. And I can say that the worst moon to collect is the one with the snails.
100 ropes challenge is pretty hard too.

The secret racing course (class s) on snow kingdom, the 100 jumps on both volleyball and rope and the vanishing road are the most frustrating moons. Dark Side was hard but fair, you can get over it with enough training.
The trace walking one was super easy, imsurprised it made it on the list. I would personally replace it with the art ones with Mario and the goomba
The voleyball one was much easier than the rope jump... Also, even though it wasn't that hard to get, the one where you have to get all the musical notes rolling on the edge in the Wooded Kingdom it's very frustrating since every time you fall you have to climb back up.
For the notes, just use Assist Mode.
You get more time for collecting the notes.
P.S. I like the one in the Wooded Kingdom where you have to stretch as an Uproot to take notes.
You guys obviously didn’t play the final Bound Bowl level.
I hated that level. Some people probably had fun (like me at first) but I got sick after 3 or 4 tries. I did manage to complete it though (and 100% complete the game) so I recommend to keep on trying!
Was easy IMO.
Nintendo is famously known for having very difficult levels in their games.
why is no one talking about the iceburn circuit class s moon. that one took me ages and getting 1st place is honestly pure luck.
Because you can cut corners on both ends.
That one took me hours and it was the least fun part of the game, it’s like the designers didn’t even test it

The races are the worst for me, very frustrating. The only thing as frustrating for me is jump rope and volleyball second power moons.

Actually I beat it on my first try by doing a glitch with the frogs at the beginning of the level to skip darker side entirely. And that's no lie. But when I played the level normally, I beat it on my 57th try.

The jump rope and the dark side boss rush was pretty annoying. The invisible road and the long jumping one was not bad at all.

Tip: of youre having trouble fighting the Brodals on the dark side of the moon go to a different kingdom grab a triple life heart to bring your max hearts up to 6 the go back and see how you do then. Hope this helped lots of people cause it sure helped me.
Caeden Samuels or just use Assist Mode or Mario and Peach Amiibos.
There's actually a triple heart on the dark side of the moon. You have to throw cappy at one of the grey/white veggies near the bridge that brings you to the brodals matches. It saved me SO much time once I found that dang heart because I didn't have to keep traveling from world to world.
What I did was get a mega heart and after every fight I would go back to the odyssey (like actually inside it) and it would recharge my health. The only downside is you have to go all the way back to the designated area
If you talk to Captain Toad and get his Power Moon, your health is completely restored before the final fight. I did that on my second attempt, which helped me defeat the last boss.

2:55 that’s the only reason I can’t beat Mario Oddyssey! I got all the koopa race moons! I got the volley ball and even the jump rope! BUT I CANNOT WITH THAT SHEEP! ;-; someone help me.
Take your time, don’t rush and when you need to get the sheep to the top where the cage is, ground pond near him, don’t hit it with your cap :)

After getting the harder of the 2 power moons, I ground-pounded and destroyed any sherms remaining.
When I didn’t have enough time to get to the other side, I went back to the non-vanishing road.
Tip: if you know you’re going to run out of time, go back.
Breakdown Road drained my hopes of 100%.

I just finished the sheep one and had to take a break afterward. I may or may not have kicked both sheep off the side out of their pen once I got my moons.
Oooh, so *that's* why people mock game journalists.
In the dark side boss rush, topper is ANNOYING for 2 reasons...
1. The amount of hats, and random spin attacks, AND with each one knocked off his head, comes one to dodge WHILE fighting him.
2. The gravity is NOT helpful! It takes 5 seconds to get back ON...THE...FLOOR. So HE gets the chance to run around while trying to ground pound on him.

Bram van Zuilen - This is the Dark Side version of the level. The one where you don’t have Cappy.
Thing is, in order to get the other moon, you have to use the bottom path to attract the bottom bullet bill in order to access the room the other moon is in. Unfortunately, bullet bills always stay at the same altitude

I have every moon except for the Jump Rope Challenge.
When you called out the people who wanted to say they beat the Darker Side in one try, I lost it.. It's like. No. There's no way you did it on the first try.. That moon and the one where ya had to get the giant Bullet Bill to chase you back. With the long jumps.. I almost raged a couple times with that one.

@@MainlyDak hell. Just hell. Theres these two girls in metro kingdom that are playing with a jump rope. When u start jumping with it it initiates a challenge. U get a moon for 30, and 100 jumps. The problem is that it gets faster after every jump. Even for a pretty seasoned mario player like myself this makes me wanna cry.

I guess the jump rope 100 times is just lumped in with the 100 on volleyball then? cause personally i thought the jump rope was harder.
Whenever they unexpectedly invert the controls because of the camera angle it pisses me off to no end.
4,6,7,8 isn’t as problematic as I imagined. But seriously I hate #5 with a passion, 2, 3 is also an issue but I think the absolute worst one is the jump rope genius, just because you can cheat the volleyball without a glitch while you can’t on jump rope
Wish Dark Side had new challenges instead of repeated challenges of earlier versions, such as a bonus area with burubos inside a door that requires your hat to enter...

The volleyball one doesn't even need to be on the list because if you control Mario and Cappy with the two controllers you can get it done quick.
The 100 jumps in new donk city is the only one I don’t have
How the Hell is the Skipping Genius in New Donk City not on this list !!?? I nearly killed myself, my switch and everything around me whilst I was attempting this. I finally did it on my millionth try
If your having trouble with Dark Moon #4, just long to the first block then do a double jump and keep repeating that. I tried this method and it completed it on my second try!
This list was very accurate. However... You forgot the Mario puzzle where you have to memorize his face and drop the pieces down onto the blank canvas. That was rough.

The frog jump one was the hardest one for me. And just when you made it there was another moon at the end which you needed to get and if u die getting that you have to do the first part all over again!!

Ok the sheep one wasn,t hard at all! In fact it was fun! I even shouted I AM THE MASTER OF SHEEP GOLF when I was done!
Herding sheep is not that bad either. Just keep your distance and turn your camera so your sheep does not run away. I did all of the sheep challenges, even this one, using this method.

Jump Rope challenge and the last of the Shiveria races were more frustrating.
I had more trouble with Long Journey’s End than I did with The Perfect Run from Galaxy 2
vanishing road and breakdown road are the only two accurate ones.....the rest are super easy...what i dont understand was how you didn't include the damn jump rope challenge without using the glitch....quite honestly the race challenge in the luncheon kingdom can be superrrr challenging too...made me rage quit

Glitched it, no regrets
at around 40 plus jumps you'll be maintaining a single and double jump loop .The moment mario hits the ground is the moment you smash the jump button. You basically focus on timing Mario's jumping and not the rope at that point.
I just finished the game with every moon and I’ve legit wanted to cry on some of these levels 😂 finally 100 % after a year

dude you can heal urself in the odyssey
That 5 round fight isn't quite as bad if you realize that going inside the Odyssey auto heals Mario. Simply warp back to the Odyssey checkpoint between rounds and heal if needed. Its a bit tedious walking back up the tower, but in the long run it makes the fight as a whole more manageable.
Okay, the 5 quick kill methods are as follows:
Green: first hit him 3 times quickly and jump on his head, then quickly jump on the hat he is in, afterwards just continue hitting him until he's about to do the spin attack, when he does jump on him, rinse and repeat
Metal: stand close to her for her to move back, when she throws her bombs move back and hit them at her direction, then stomp her, when she gets into her hat quickly go towards the middle then towards where she went, quickly hit the bomb underneath her, rinse and repeat
Purple: quickly hit him and jump on his head, wait till he stops spinning in his cap and stomp him, rinse and repeat
Tall: this one is extremely easy in moon, hit his cap the first time stomp his head, when animation of him getting into his head is done stomp him, when he reappears he wont have his cap for a short moment, stomp him then, remember to keep yourself in the air after each jump, rinse and repeat
Mecha: okay this one is extremely difficult if not for the moon physics, simply capture the thing you need to destroy it's leg, destroy the one you see, uncapture, cap dive yourself back to the top of it, do it a second time as he will blow you back, wait for an oppurtune moment to stomp one of the ones on the side, leave the top one for last for ease sake, then do the whole cap dive thing again, rinse and repeat
Marvel Underground you know you can get one of those just outside of the broodal fight right? Its on one of the decolored veggies at the final platform before the electricity

Mario odyssey : hold my moon
Today I just managed to get all the moons and collectibles. I feel so proud despite the fact that I glitched the Jump Rope challenge and used a guide to find anything that i missed.
It is an easy game to finish, hard to get 100% though.

It doesn't frustrate you once you know the trick. I didn't do the one shown in this video but I did the one in sand kingdom, tend 3 sheeps for dancing skull guy
the walking in a circle moon is easy. Just look at the surroundings and use it as a guide. I scored a 93 on my first try and celebrated by boning my wife.
The circle one on the moon was arguably the most difficult, but even then it took me only about 3 attempts to get right. Just have to spot the landmarks of where to walk over/stay right/stay left and use the R-stick to do your turning while holding forward on the L-stick.
