Glad your daughter didn't get hit. Good on you for giving it to them straight. Hopefully that moment will stick with that kid. Park looked great. Definitely go back.
Yeah hopefully the kid will have learnt a lesson but give the way the family were I wouldn't hold my breath. All they cared about was the fact he said sorry so it should all be ok. Sorry wouldn't have healed my daughter though if it hit her. Sometimes sorry just don't cut it.
Was you there was you? No! I was at the skatepark and with my children well this little dickhead thought he owned the park and screaming at young children! Not in control of his toddler who should have been in a pram like him!
I think your response was entirely justified mate, I would have reacted exactly the same way. It’s a shame it put a downer on your whole session, looked like a cool park.
The park was a really nice little park just a shame the scooter kids had to ruin it again. Another skater had to go a tell some other kids off for throwing a bouncy ball around. Its just a shame that we have to tell them off because the parents are sat too far away to see or do anything.
It's a normal reaction you had. And if after talking with the parents, they didn't realise the dangerous behaviour of their kid it's problematic... What to do in that case ? Arguing or leaving? You were right to tell that kid he was dangerous. And I hope that in some point, they will tell their kid to be more careful, or they are totally irresponsible...
Sadly I don't think they would have told him off given they way things went on the day. Hopefully I'm wrong and they did but I wouldn't hold my breath. They were irresponsible in the first place for sitting so far away in the first place. They might as well had not been there.
There was another skater there using the ride on grind and it did look good. Was a nice little park the only bad part was the rail. It was super close to the brick bank with the key hole. Would have been better to just not have the rail there at all but other than that is was a nice park with a good layout.
Hi Matt. Firstly, I’m glad your daughter’s ok mate. Debate could go on and on but when your kids are in danger or at risk of injury it really doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks as any caring parent would have reacted the same way and the lads family appear to have reacted out of principle of someone telling their poor Billy off with no consideration of what could have happened . If he was my lad I’d have then told him off a second time once I’d got the full story. Great kickflip on the bank by the way and nice one for getting over that arch. I’m staying at a lodge in Hatherleigh, north Devon which is only 45 mins from home but we’re escaping our grown up kids for a few days, anyway there’s a skatepark 2 minutes drive and I’m going to hit it tomorrow morning. My review video won’t be pro like yours but I’ll upload something tomorrow 👊🏻
Yeah I guess your right both of us where acting out of instinct to protect our kids. Looking forward to seeing the new park. Seeing new place is one of my fav things about skating.
@@amskateboards, don’t get me wrong though dude, I’m siding with you and would have gone mental if it were mine when they they were younger. Now I’ve a grandson it reaches out another gen ✌🏻
Holyhead is a bit far I think. As I don't drive its difficult to get place that are a distance away. When it comes to parks like that its normally when I visit somewhere with the family. If I can make though I'll let you know and we can roll.
I'd definitely have had a word with the kid and you wern't in the wrong. I really dont like skateparks that are out in the open like that, I think it is inviting to anyone especially small kids to just go and play on it without any clue how to act in that environment. Parents are irresponsible to leave their kids unsupervised whether they are running riot or not, they are lucky it was you and not somebody else 😅 I'd never leave my kids unnattended and the Dad sounded like a 🔔🔚. Looked like a decent park other than that!
Yeah the park was good and I would have liked to have done a little more there if it wasn't for the incident. As for the incident if the parent was in sight I probably wouldn't have said anything. After thinking about it I actually feel its worse that his parents were there but not within view of the park than if there were not. It is really irresponsible of them to know the kid is in the park but to not be keeping an eye on him. More for his safety than anything else. They clearly wasn't watching at all as the kid did it a few time and nothing was said until I told him. The first thing they knew of it was because the kid went to them crying. Even after I had told him off if he didn't go to them I don't think they would have known anything had happened.
I’m the dad and I was polite to this little gimp! My son was doing a trick on his scooter well his daughter was walking loose around the park with no protection on or responsible adults caring for them! My son said sorry as that’s the way he’s been brought up! But you screamed at him making him cry! Then shut your fucking trap when I confronted you! Then on here spreading lies! To get attention you sad act!

Parents who leave their small kids at a skatepark, what are they thinking? 🫣 Parents aren't parents anymore. Good thing you snapped at him. 👏💯
That was my though when the dad said to me I'm the only one who shouts at him. Where were you to shout at him? Not even by the park to see the issue.

The little ledge looks like ride on grinds would be fun. Not a bad spot.
