I miss being able to talk with you through the FaceBook group, Nicholas. I'm Rory and used to post lengthy comments on psychedelics, mysticism and occultism and such on the group, in the off chance that you might remember me. I however couldn't stomach the overwhelming grotesqueries of the overall apparatus (not including your group of course) and had my account permanently deleted last year, but my sole misfortune in regret is that I'm not able to join in on those awesome discussions we all were having there regularly. Your perspective and interests align so nearly with mine and I looked to your views as an elder with sincere respect. I believe yours is the only voice on this or any other platform that I genuinely look forward to hearing anymore; yours is such a unique and broad perspective and it is remarkable to be able to have access to your insights so readily through this platform. So I just wanted to thank you and add my voice to the crowd of those who appreciate your work, though I am no longer as present as I once was. I am only just now learning of the address email confirmation for your revised and updated book so I will be sending mine shortly. Take care, I wish you good health and happiness.
My dad (RIP) was a member of the Magic Castle, went there a million x as a kid. In fact, had my Bar Mitzvah celebration there - before I abandoned organized religion
Excellent talk by Nikolas. I started being interested in Manson case lately and have been watching all I can find on youtube. A friend went to see you in London. I asked about you or what was your occupation so he asked me to google it. Synchronicity at its best. I came across your talks and everything you've done. I'll have to purchase the latest book. Very engaging speaker. Thank you for digging out the truth as much as it is possible knowing how hard it is to deal with Hollywood elites. I am glad that I wasn't the only one believing there were too many holes in the whole story. What a pity that this guy had to die in the jail while the real crooks will never get caught. I liked Manson's insights, regardless of his criminal record. What a unique guy.

Fascinating as always. Everyone with a genuine interest in Charles Manson ought to read The Manson File. Nikolas has done more research on the subject than any of the hacks feted by the media who do little more than regurgitate the Bugliosi bullshit of Helter Skelter. A scholar and a gentleman.

Nickolas Schreck has way too many interesting things to say to be cut short like that! He is arguably the dean of the Manson saga. Can't imagine who Farrier had to interview next but he did a great disservice to Nick!!

One minor thing: Both Watson's and Manson's former apartments (Franklin Gardens and 6871 Franklin Ave.) were/are on the east side of The Magic Castle.

I think Tom's book does establish that law enforcement on a variety of levels kept tabs on Manson and that he may have been know to intelligence agencies. That the CIA ordered the murders? No.
But Charlie was able to get picked up by cops and never got sent back to prison when formally he was on a very short legal leash from '67-'69. It stands to reason that, like many criminals, Manson was able to provide useful information to law enforcement when it suited his needs and was, in turn, protected by law enforcement (including feds) at various times.
As a charismatic arch-hippie I wouldn't doubt that he was provided acid by intelligence and monitored/cultivated as a curiosity by the CIA who had a long established interest on LSD. I think it's known that Timothy Lear had a relationship with the CIA. Underworld figures often provide info to law enforcement especially when they have vulnerabilities.
I would highly recommend reading about the life and times of SLA 'leader' Donald DeFreeze and Louis Tackwood of the Glass House Tapes book - both were 60s LAPD informants plus in LA there was an overlay of intelligence interests via COINTELPRO and Operation Chaos. The entire saga of Manson's multiple arrests and bailouts and the "hands off Spahn Ranch" message to the LA Sherriffs says informer like nothing else and yet like DeFreeze and Tackwood, there are Intel components but as for Tom's assertions in the second half of Chaos, it's all "guilt by association" compared to the stories of Tackwood/De Freeze where you can show real alphabet agency connectivity.
I guess this would mean that Linda was involved in the death of Bernard. A drug deal gone bad. Her and Tex and Jay? I have no idea.

Great interview. One question: was there ever a connection between Manson and the Grateful Dead or manager Rock Scully? I know that Manson went to a few of their concerts, but was there a drug deal connection?

I don't find and a very strict on judesimim and Hinduism and Buddhism. I am half Hebrew. My view and on your book is right.. but I don't see where he was trying to unite Catholics and anabasist. I grew in Massachusetts..

If Nickolas reads this, it be OF ULTIMATE IMPORTANCE that since he said he's doing a book on the JFK association......he speak with some of the leaders of that group -and I know because I'm a part of the JFK/RFK/MLK research communities. As I see Schreck to be the formost authority on the Manson case, Jim DiEugenio, Jim Fetzer & John Barbour (respectively) r the 3 formost authorities on the JFK case. In addition, we don't know who really shot Lee Oswald (and which one, cause there were at least 2) - as when u watch the Oswald murder, a jacket is placed over the shooter's head before we can see his face. Also, go read the "BURN MEMO" - which is a document from MJ-12 about Lancer (JFK) getting too close to the ET presence. Not speaking with the above !mentioned would be the same as not speaking to Schreck before writing about the Manson case

David McGuire I don't usually reply on YT, but to be clear: there absolutely is a long-standing stagnant embedded bureaucracy operant beneath the passing administrations that come and go, not only in the dying empire of the USA, but in every nation in the world. Where I disagree with the common usage of the current ''Deep State'' ideology is the mistaken belief that this bureaucratic mechanism is some all-powerful cabal of secret society social engineering geniuses instead of a bunch of mediocre bumbling paperpushers that they actually are. It's very easy and politically expedient to blame society's many ills on some hidden superstructure with a plan. That grossly overestimates the efficiency and competence of these people, and is used to whip the politically partisan on both emotionally blinded side of the dualistic culture wars into a frenzy against a conveniently invisible nameless enemy, which is perfect for propaganda purposes. The main delusion behind such conspiracy fantasy thinking is the assumption that some THEY or THEM is secretly pulling the strings with flawless precision. I'm telling you the truth is much more frightening that that: in fact, nobody is in charge, it's complete chaos, and we are careening to catastrophe with nobody at the wheel. - NS
