- Jett Lawrence and Ty Masterpool win the day. Jett got the whole mountain thrown at him and still came out victorious at High Point while Hunter and Chase are keeping things interesting in the 450 class. Ty Masterpool held on for the checkers against a savage attack by Haiden Deegan up to the final moments of 250 moto 2. Chance Hymas had a few flubs but is still in the conversation and a future threat for sure.
Daniel Blair gives his overreactions on the highlights from round 4 of the 2024 Pro MX Championship at High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, PA.

What a fucking ride by Masterpool and the troubles he’s been through, been a fan of him since later 2017 and His Brother Jake as well. Factory, Satellite Team, Privateer 450, and Factory 250 once again. Prevailed the onslaught when the relentless Deegan was Charging.
Deegan seems brash but he probably bests his performance that way. Deegan IS the Mini Beast Mode (Tomac) Fights through Pack and you know he is coming around just like how Tomac did. Of Course as he learned it from him just not the Humility of Tomac as of yet.
Deegan and Tomac very similar Walks of Life, different attitudes and Circumstances. Regardless of how they are they are Spectacles in the Sport Right now.
Can’t wait when Tomac Comes back!! 🙏
Seriously though Ty’s ride was Nerve Wracking we ALL Wanted him to win the mistakes and Deegan Closing in…
Locked it and secured it making the 300th PC Kawasaki Win, his 1st Overall, and first one to stop the Overall Win Streak From Deegan. Best Historic Ride in Recent Year. The Family dealt with a lot with the passing of Jesse, Teams not cooperating with the family, Injuries Ty and Jake Faced. To get your First overall from a very Competitive Field, just a Heartfelt moment overall.
Congratulations to Ty and the Family, and a thank you to Mitch and PC for Believing in him 🙏.

gotta respect anyone who can come through most of the pack and then set the fastest lap of the race on the final lap by 2 seconds , then come out and do that again in moto 2 but chop over 15 seconds off the leaders in the final two laps, no matter what comes out of his trap his riding is insane

i fricken love the kid on the bike,off the bike. idk how people can not like haiden hes awsome for our sport and he will grow and people will all start to love him.
It's not as simple as like or dislike, but some people seem to think he shouldn't get any criticism. He has been able to have a childhood unlike most people due to his dad being involved in the sport. So of course he should be good when you've had his level of support and born with a silver knobby on his bike, but sometimes he acts like he deserves special treatment because of who he is. It's racing and no one should get out of his way, and he shouldn't be excused for flipping off mechanics when he's butt hurt after a bad start. Great rider, hell yeah that's undeniable, but he's also young and lets the excitement get to him sometimes, and there's no problem with pointing out that he has some growing to do.

I agree with you. As a person I think Deegan is a total douche nozzle. But as lifelong fan of motocross I can’t help but appreciate the kid’s talent. I was around in ‘76 to watch Bob Hannah crush my then hero Marty Smith (and everyone else) at the first pro race I attended held at RedBud. Even then when it was much more about individual riders for me, as bummed as I was for Marty I couldn’t help but be impressed with Hannah. So it goes with little Deegan. All of which made Masterpool’s victory just that much sweeter by the way. Now his is a story worth telling.
As for James, anything that gets you spending more time in front of a camera talking about dirt bike racing is a good thing. Hope you can make it happen!

If Deegz gets a nice clean lead in the 250’s and can afford to miss a race they should chuck him onto a 450 just to see where he lands. It would probably make for the most interesting 450 race this season

That's the worst thing they could do for him.
First off the risk of injury is completely not worth it. Especially on a faster, heavier bike, with faster competition.
Second, he would get smoked and all it would do is damage his ego.

Considering his ride in both motos and coming from behind in both they dont have much for him. I mean second moto almost blew 16 second lead and that was with Haiden getting a mediocre start and going down. It’s funny how people in motocross whine and complain when Haiden says chance came across and pinched him off. It was true. It’s funny motocross people are more uptight than nascar people. If there has been a season to beat Jett it’s this one.
He looks tired from the SX title, has won everything so of course will have a dip in desire, and had the nasty crash!
Last year he came off the 250 SX title (easy for him) and spent a lot of time testing on the 450 for outdoors!
They’ve had hardly any time of the 450 outdoors, so if there is a time for Chase or Hunter (unfortunately Hunter is still learning so may be harder over a season to get Jett) to beat Jett it’s this year!
Chase and Hunter will be better next year but who knows what can happen by then!
Why wasn't jett at the post race conference?
At the end of the conference they said he was held up at drug testing why they couldn’t wait till after idk

Do you know how many riders not only win races, but win 250 championships, and then are just average in the 450 class?? It’s nowhere close to the same level.

This 250 class has nothing for Deegan right now. Chance is still learning, Vialle is still getting used to the U.S., Shimodi isn't aggressive enough and gets stuck behind slower riders for too long, Kitchen is better indoors, Masterpool is still unknown to this point.
If the 250's have nothing them Tom wouldn't be the 250sx champion, and a fill in rider on a borrowed kawasaki 250f wouldn't have gotten the overall this weekend.

@@matthunter1667 Deegan came into SX injured and was wiped out in first race in first turn. Lost alot of ground and was not 100% until late in season. Outdoors no one has anything for him. Fill in Rider had a top 3 start. Deagan comes from deep in field and passes him first moto and almost did second moto. Bet your behind that if Ty has the starts Deegan had he would not have come through the pack like Him. No one has done that yet PERIOD this year in the outdoors. So yes NO ONE has anything for him outdoors. If they did he would not have over a 30 point lead after only 4 rounds!

I believe Deegan is a great rider. However, at 55 years of age, it may be a generational thing for me, but I don't really like him or even his family. They always come across as fake or at least not genuine people. The kind of people who I always want to keep my guard up around. Where as the Lawrence's seem much more like an open book and I could very easily drop my guard and just relax around.
Haiden comes across as someone who would praise God if he was racing in the bible belt and never mention him elsewhere. Like a sleazy politician. Just an old man's views.
Early in his career Jett was a bit of a smart ass too but since has fallen to the control of corporate be nice crap. I guess everyone wants to see interviews controlled by the corporate elite so in reality that is what is FAKE.
