@@aashniw7125 If you mean Misha and Gallagher, weren't they already dead before you meet them and only their memory existed in the Dreamscape...? Haven't played it yet but Honkai Impact 3rd apparently has no problem killing off playable characters in the story
This is the kind of scene that loses all emotional weight when I know that Caesar is on the banner and a permanent part of the game. Like yeah, of course she can't die.
I didn't play Hoyo's other games but the examples here of gallagher and Misha from HSR and Himeko from impact, are these really charaters who died in game the same day their limited time banner launched?
@@Karragh Yea , mihoyo even made an entire arc where 13 characs are dead, made a story about them , then later Killed them again Mihoyo kills characs, it just never happens in genshin, but ZZZ hi3 and potentially even HSR , they proved a lot of times if they wanna kill a character they'll do it
"Oh look at me, I'm a necrophiliac who will only play a game with actual death" Important characters dying is great to see sometimes but good God I'm tired of people demanding death all the time. ZZZ doesn't need characters dying, not this early in the story anyway
@@ReiseLukas Seeing these kinds of fake outs makes them even angrier. They want a story where the writers aren't afraid to take risks and take away a character people care about.
This was so weak, and I couldn't suspend my disbelief for even a moment there. We literary had the theme "Ah they are falling...oh turns out there was a fissure" in the previous chapter.
Then you missed the point of the scene. This wasn't a sacrifice with a cheap cop out, it was a Trial by Fire. It was about Caesar growing as a character, learning the responsibility of being a true leader. In a way a part of Caesar did die from that fire, the naive ambition she had in the beginning of the chapter. That died when she thought of the people who didn't have a choice and chose to risk everything for them. A stronger, more responsible Caesar returned. Not every sacrifice scene needs an actual death.
@@ReiseLukas seems you missunderstood my point, I wasn't talking about the character, im talking about a narration. the way it was executed was just poor, after the big sacrifice, ceasar returns 10 seconds after. Because of that the sense of grief didn't had time to settle in. Not to mention it lowers other stakes in any further story piece, because every character can be now saved by a fissure that just turns out to be there.
The finale would've been better, if the cast returned to the camp, without ceasar, maybe even preparing a funreal for her. Just so the player could belive for at least a second she might be actually dead. and then have her come back, a day later just like the original overlord
@@ofal5124 The grief wasn't supposed to settle. As I said it was a Trial By Fire, a way for the character to grow. The Fissure saves have been consistently present in the entire story so far. That can either be just plot convenience or setting up a future plot point where someone is actually controlling where those fissures appear at any given time. I'm not going to fuss over plot convenience in a story that only has 4 chapters so far
they foreshadow that tho, a hero that everyone tought that he died, but he made alive somehow, and it happened again, it's not like it was from nowhere
@@artluka727 just because it fits with the foreshadowing doesn't make it a good story. They could have just removed that foreshadowing as a whole. Either way ceaser surviving makes this story a complete failure to me. And don't get me wrong, I liked ceaser
@Asrilel No it wouldn't, it would literally only be shock value if she died, you're missing the whole point of the story It's called a pay off, if they removed that part, there would be no reason for Caesar's whole development on being a leader, if they changed that scene, the whole story has to change for YOUR narrative.
i got way too invested into this chapter and i was literally at the edge of my seat throughout 💀
This chapter and the one with Koleda were very good.
Man, the music for this scene was amazing and Lucy's cry gave me chills (Does anyone know the song for this scene yet?)
If anyone can name the song, this comment is here so I can be reminded
Its now official, the song is named Tour De Inferno... The song is simply absolute cinema
Uh on Spotify san-z made a new album and one of the last ones translates to hellfire ride and I think it’s that
Ain't nobody could ride like... JOHNNY THE KNIFE!!!
From lighter's perspective, this hits harder if you've played his agent story
CAESARRRRRRRRRR!!!!! 😭😭😭
JoJo,this is the last of my hamon!
ngl on a milisecond i really believed she died
Same Caesar's speech already left me feeling emotional and her "death" along with Lucy's crying was almost the nail in the coffin
Had me going for a second. It’s not like Hoyoverse never kills off playable characters in story.
They killed off two playable characters in Honkai Star Rail. Confirmed to be deceased.

I had chills all over my body. Brooo
this cutscene dude , its just so good
I wish they make lucy shout caesar and start crying
Like Joseph Joestar ?
I agree and yes
This shit gave me chills at the time frfr
WHAT IS THIS SOUNDTRACK?
scene gave me emotional looks
SHIIIIZAAAAAAAAAAA
This scene made me Cry I'll admit it
It was perfect i loved it

i think pompey help her. High tier etherial can open worm hole like bringer did
