Rich, I use Lumenok's when shooting from my 12 foot high tree stand/condo. After a no pass through I let everything just lay for an hour. Started getting dark saw the light about 70 yards away and it was still in the deer. Yes sir buddy, I love them. Keep on keeping on Rich, we thank you for all you do for us. Bill
I use the nocturnal also. Really like that you can shut them off for practice and on for hunting they fit well and and seem to function well also. I can shut them off after activated easily with my thumbnail
I also have the lumenok lighted nocks and love them. when my son shot at his first deer he used the wrong distance crosshair and missed. It was late december and there was snow on the ground. After the sun set you could see a large red circle in the snow where the nock light up the snow. Was really neat to see. Also made finding the arrow easy.

No Rick I haven't tried them yet I was going to order some and put them in some Black Eagle arrows that I'm shooting out of my Barnett crossbow because I know they've got a knock called cleanshot that is a moon Nock that's got a metal switch where you can turn the knock-on and off and it rubs the rail so that's no good so hopefully these won't rub the rail on my crossbow
The second light is very similar to Tackle Beacon Lucky Jack . I use those in my homemade jugs for fishing. Works great at night . Can see those little lights for over 250yards.
Hay ya Rich My lummonocks , from amazon, .came with a tiny tiny flat screwdriver and the locks have a slot in one side that you put the screwdriver in the slot and push up to turn off the light.
I also use the lumenok on my arrows. Worth the money not to have to hunt for your arrows after a shot and to track where your shot is going. Just wanted to say also I really enjoy your content. This 2020 will only be my second year crossbow hunting. Had a shot at one last year but still havent harvested a deer with my crossbow. I just use the Barnett Jaguar but if its dialed in its deadly accurate with a 16" arrow. Anyway thank you again for your content and please keep these videos coming!
@@Deathbybunjie thanks. The youth season starts here in Kentucky on sept 9. I will be taking my 10 year old daughter out with me to hopefully get some brown on the ground! I will keep you updated. Thanks Rich
Love those lighted knocks, those look like the same ones that fit the Tenpoint Alpha knock for my M1 Turbo. Your right Rich, once you work the on and off a couple of times they get easier to use.
Why can I not find the lumenok puller tool!? All that seems to come up on Google is the rubber arrow puller style.. can you please link me to that tool you have? Thank you
Good morning from North Georgia. I am trying to find one of the pliers. I am right in the information phase of deciding on which lighted nock, I use PSE Coalition bolts which have an ID of .300 and I have decided to buy the Lumenok nocks. Saying all that to say that I cannot find the extinguisher pliers anywhere . I do not want to use that rubber tool for the same reasons you told us about. Question; Where can I buy the pliers tool? Keep On Shooting Straight.
OK, so I'm a long time bowhunter just getting into crossbow hunting. What is the consensus on the better illuminated nock system to use? (So I don't have to invest in a number of different brands and figure it out myself) Burt Coyote, Nufletch, or Nocturnal? Pros/Cons for each? Thank you all! Hunt safely, my Friends!
Just got my Excalibur. My bolts have a threaded flat area where a nock would go (for the arrow remover to screw into), do these lighted nocks screw into that or do you have to pull these threaded end caps off?
The nuflecth uses the same light as you will find on the walls of bait shops, which are used for some lighted bobbers. I cannot remember which company makes the ones that fit but that would be easy enough to figure out at a place like bass pro, which would carry a selection of these types of lights. We used to make these nocks, when lighted nocks first came out. In fact, the nufletch is made by the guy who showed me how on archery talk maybe 12 years ago. Basically, the rear of the arrow gets a second insert like the front except that the threads are drilled out, near to the bottom of the insert. The light is dropped in and then the nock throat is cut to length, so that it cannot hit the bottom of the insert. Takes a lot of time to make. Easier and cheaper (if your time is worth anything) to just buy nufletch and us those. Lights last 40-50 hours and are about 3$ each (I think) last time I looked.
With nufletch, to access the light you do, but could leave out and shoot over and over with just the nock and no light. With burt coyote you'd have to turn off BUT Personally I just leave them on the whole time that I practice. They last a really long time!
Well I wanted to try those Lumenok but i see so many comments an perhaps a better product out now cause i thought lumenok was best on today's market but ive been out of hunting especially bow for 15yrs and just coming back to it so i missed alot going on now
I use them and you will need a pliers to get them off. Make sure if your using half moon nocks to make sure the are correctly orientated to catch the string on your crossbow after turning them off and before using them again.
I have a Barnett crossbow and the Lumenok is one of the few that is large enough in diameter to shut off the anti dry-fire mechanism and allow me to disengage the safety for firing.
I’m glad that I was finally able to use my luminock this past weekend at the “Meet & Greet”. Sad to think that two of her bolts are destroyed, but I’m sure there are new ones available everyday! You better get some more ordered so she can get ready for Maryland deer.
I think the Lumenoks a real pain in the butt to get to turn off and stay off. You either need to spend more money to get the arrow puller or buy an even more expensive padded pliers to turn them off. The other nocks that you have to pull completely out of the shaft to turn off are even worse. Also with a half moon nock you need to make sure the Luminok is still lined up to properly index the string unlike the flat end nocks you are using. I shoot a Barnett and the Luminoks are one of the few that have a large enough diameter to disengage the anti dry-fire mechanism so you can the the safety off to fire the crossbow. Not a big pain in a hunting situation but in a practice situation it id a pain in the butt.
Worse knock ever!!!! It will jot turn off no matter how hard you shake it!!! I had to use plyrrs to pull back on it. I called the company and they said to lube ot up with wax first! But the knoxks came to me glued in!!
You are literally the most helpful person on crossbows I have ever met🙂

that's awesome, what a great sight i bet!
Where did you find that Burt Coyote Lumenok puller, I'm having trouble locating one?
Thanks

I stoped using luminock and started using nockturnal way easier to turn off and I love them!
Don`t remember what brand mine are but you stick the point or a thin knife point in a hole and push up it`s pretty quick to do .
Watching and learning

I love it when things work, thats great
Thanks for the PSA on the lighted knocks. Just bought a excalibur micro 360 and trying to learn what I can.

Agree 💯
Love the lighted knocks on my bow. But have found green better during mid-day and red better for low light times.
All hail Bunjie..Outstanding.
Always wondered how these worked. Thanks for the video! ALL HAIL BUNJIE!!! JR TOO
Hey Rick when you put the new nufletch together for your daughter did the metal insert rub the rail of her crossbow when she shoots it
Nope it is precisely as wide as the outer diameter of the crossbow...are you seeing that problem?? What arrow, what model nock?
No Rick I haven't tried them yet I was going to order some and put them in some Black Eagle arrows that I'm shooting out of my Barnett crossbow because I know they've got a knock called cleanshot that is a moon Nock that's got a metal switch where you can turn the knock-on and off and it rubs the rail so that's no good so hopefully these won't rub the rail on my crossbow

Yep I am told similar to lighted bobbers too

How do you remove the aluminum piece in the end of the arrow without damaging the arrow to install the Burt coyote luminocks?
th-cam.com/video/oB3sSShvmVg/w-d-xo.html there's some discussion in that video, good starting point, hope that helps!
Ive also seen ppl use fine grit sandpaper also so thats what im going to use the puller seemed nice but i cant twist mine cause of the quarter moon
How do you pull out the factory metal nock out of a Excalibur bolt
You almost can't
Turning them off is a pain but they are the brightest
Why can I not find the lumenok puller tool!? All that seems to come up on Google is the rubber arrow puller style.. can you please link me to that tool you have? Thank you

How have the my fletch nocks working and holding up
They were fine but she's got those new arrows now with Lumenoks
How do you like the knocks?
I love the burt coyote Lumenoks and use them whenever I can, Genevieve still likes those new fletch ignitors!

I can't speak to a concensus, but I like the lumenock.
Any idea what the difference in trajectory is using lighted nocks? Impact high/low accuracy?
In my experience using these two it is negligible and I don't resight in, however I typically use them in all my arrows just to be sure
Just got my Excalibur. My bolts have a threaded flat area where a nock would go (for the arrow remover to screw into), do these lighted nocks screw into that or do you have to pull these threaded end caps off?
Have to heat up glue and pull out, clean and insert lighted nock. Will do a video on this soon, plan on doing it myself.
Are the lighted nocs half-moon nocs? I am asking only because of the safety issue in having the noc properly aligned with the fletching
Excalibur shoots flat nocks, pretty common on recurves. You can get lighted nocks in various styles to fit various crossbows.
Just like ten point Omni lighted nocks
How do you install them?
I just shot a video on that, will have up in a week I hope, but these came pre-installed. I really do like them.
Ok, where do i find that puller? I have a ravin and those rubber pullers dont work to turn off. And only 1 choice since ravin uses special clip on

You have to pull the nock completely out each time you fire a shot? If so that would be a pain in the butt in a practice situation.

@@dheller777 Like D.B.B. said. Just remove the light and shoot all you want.
@@Deathbybunjie Thats what I end up doing and just replacing the batteries before hunting.

Omg I just recently purchased some lumenoks and they wouldn’t go off it was driving me crazy!
I use them and you will need a pliers to get them off. Make sure if your using half moon nocks to make sure the are correctly orientated to catch the string on your crossbow after turning them off and before using them again.
how do you turn them on?
The crossbow does that for you when you shoot, the force of string against nock,, pretty cool
My Easton Arrow puller does descent
Excalibur has new better lighted nocks now called Beacon nocks they have a nice switch to turn em off!
I watched a quick video on those, they do look pretty good.
I had no idea that the excalibur nocks were flat. Interesting
I like FireNock lighted nocks. Just tap them on a hard surface and they shut off.
I have a Barnett crossbow and the Lumenok is one of the few that is large enough in diameter to shut off the anti dry-fire mechanism and allow me to disengage the safety for firing.
Looks very similar to Ten Points Alpha bright system. Very bright when activated and gets easier to deactivate with multiple uses.

Lol got tons, I went all in on those when I saw how they shoot, we are also glad we got the nocks still :)
FYI.... Dorge would flip out if he saw you twist that nock of his Rich :D LOL
Found it
I still haven’t seen how to turn it off
Ummmm, watch the video? Lol
