You really nailed the uniqueness of each of 3J's dance styles! As a former dancer, I never get tired of watching them. There just so much to appreciate about how they each approach the same choreography. JHope is so incredibly precise and smooth--he has perfect control, and makes each movement look effortless. His isolations are amazing. He can move like a machine and bend like his bones are rubber. He's the hip hop king with swag for daaaays. 😂 Jungkook's style is really intense and powerful, so he shines the most with chorography like "On." But he's also very versatile... he adapts well to just about anything. Jungkook is also just ridiculously physically strong in general, so he can manage some crazy athletic moves, including b-boying. And then there is Jimin--one of the most unique dancers in kpop. Most idols are trained in hip-hop... but Jimin's background is in contemporary and martial arts, and the combined result is something special. He's fluid and graceful, with gorgeous lines, insane flexibility, and a really unique sense of latency--he plays with the timing of movements in a way that messes with my head, lol. Like, it can almost look like he's manipulating the rhythm of the music. It's so cool.
I know Tae didn't take part in the Megan remix performance video so you gave a fantastic breakdown of 3Js but how would you describe his dancing style because he is also part of the dance line so I'm curious coming from ur dancing background 🫂💜

He's not quite on the same level of technical proficiency--like, he hasn't had the classical sort of training that teaches you the proper form of a pirouette or leap, so he's not out there doing anything fancy. But he has something that can't be taught, and that is his innate dance sense. It's the way a dancer feels the music, internalizes it, and and translates it into movement... and Tae is REALLY good at this, putting his own signature style into every move. Plus, I think he actually really enjoys dancing, and that sort of thing shines through and makes a big difference. I think the thing that most defines Tae's style is the way he uses his eyes and facial expressions as part of his whole presentation. Like, when he gazes intensely into the camera, you can't look away. He's such a natural performer, and his performance is a whole package. It's hard to separate his dancing from his stage presence because they're one and the same, you know? Take his bit in the opening of the On choreography, as an example... There's nothing even remotely difficult about the way he struts towards the camera and snaps his head around, but it's just delivered with so much SWAG, it's stunning. He oozes charisma and demands attention. 😄 As he's gotten older and more confident, his overall skill as a dancer has improved a lot, too. His form was EXCELLENT in the Run BTS dance practice--strong and sharp. If I were to compare V to 3J, I'd say his style is most similar to JK's, which makes a lot of sense, as they were both "blank slate" dancers when they began their training at the same agency.
@z0feya you said so of this so well! About Tae, I might add that he's got tremendous body control and poise - he always knows where his body is in space. Think about how he can catch literally anything 😂 or the time he put on high heels and was immediately dancing in them... As a dancer, he holds specific positions and poses really well, and combines that with his performance ability, which is really effective. I bet he'd vogue beautifully. I agree that he's gotten technically stronger, too. One of my favorite things about Run BTS choreo is that everyone got to shine as a dancer 😁
I like to talk about how Jungkook can fit into any choreography, the fact that he studied dance in Los Angeles in 2014 made him grow a lot in dance, and today he can dance well in free dance/hip hop and contemporary dance. just glorious to look at him, I feel he always fits the styles both his voice and his body. 🫶🏻
And in LA only for one month with their choreographer, Mr. Son. JK says it was difficult at first not understanding English but he somehow was able to follow the instructions. His progress after that trip was incredible according to Mr. Son.
Jungkook is an amazing dancer🤍 Bts’ dance teacher & choreographer Son Sungdeuk always has praises for JK’s dancing and talents, he once said: “Jungkook has great power, his lines are pretty, and he himself knows what’s pretty. He has a taste for the correct movements to add (in his dance).” Choreographers and producers love him because he understands the intentions of what the choreography should look like and how the song should sound, while adding his own colors to it at the same time🤍 He’s so talented
Jungkook dance is the same way he sing. He made choreography look soo easy the same way he sing highnotes effortlessly. He dance smoothly and perfectly the same way he sing with perfect pitch . Jungkook developed his skills in dancing throughout in the dance choreography practice without any years of training before hand. Not sure if his moves is intentional but definitely his moves is perfect as centre position. I believed he is born to perform.. he know exactly how to use his skills .
15:47 100% right about jungkook and dancing… he has no formal dance training and has only ever danced really by learning choreo. He liked dance once he joined bighit but like hobi came to big hit with 7-8 years dance training and competing (winning of course 😊) already and jimin came to bighit with 4-5 years of contemporary and hip hop training …. So JK jumped into dance by learning their dances and stuff like that. He always uses to be really intimidated about like free styling and said he could never do it… but over the last couple of years he’s grown into a dancer that has more of his own vibe and style… but this whole dance video was thrown together so fast , BTS was pretty much on a break and they hadn’t been dancing together…. Jk wasn’t dancing at all…. But they came together to do this. He def didn’t have time to get comfy and put his own vibe into it… that’s why I love watching anything 2020- present with JK dancing bc he discovered a love for house dancing and he’s always loved b boys dancing and used to practice windmills and different handstands and stalls , jazz splits kinda stuff when it fit their music more…. But it’s been a long long time. He’s a great student, learns fairly quickly… and I’m excited for you to watch fancams at some point… bc stage jungkook and dance practice jungkook are completely different beasts. He’s known for his fierce performances and just has this look in his eyes that will cause you to hold your breath lol that sheer power and letting loose is something he’s more recently developed naturally … ida s has a cool video “jungkook dance evolution” that’s pretty cool if you react to stuff like that one day

You should watch the 3-J’s dance practice for this. They were all exhausted by the end, aiming for perfection, but every time one of them wanted to do it “one more time” because he thought he could do better, they always did it again. Their professionalism is off the charts.
I completely agree with what you said about JK and its actually one of the things I love about watching him dance. To me Hobi has that street dance type of flow that he can always add or take away a step if needed and it looks natural. Jimin has a fluid dance flow which allows him to look like water once he starts moving. While JK has such precise movements it makes him look so damn professional giving into his Golden Maknae title lol

Whether here or on patrean you've got to see the behind the scenes for that last video. They redid it soooo many times. Like we all know they're perfectionist but that was surprising even for us seeing just how many times they did the video again and again and again (and again...😥) to get it just right. My respect for them is unmatched by this point (especially when it comes to hard work and effort💜)
I think you are spot on with your descriptions of the three J’s technicality on the choreo. Yes, JK (my bias) works hard in doing the dance moves how they are technically supposed to be. Jimin is very elegant with his moves. JHope, has a street swagger in his moves. All the 3 J’s are great in their own individual ways. 😍

I'm not a dancer, so I may not know what I'm saying, but I feel like JK has spent so much time dancing and practicing with Jimin, that they feed off of each other's vibes, energy, emotions, feelings, etc., as seen in their various duo performances.
As a singer, Jungkook can blend his voice to harmonize with anyone, he's amazing at it... I feel like Jimin does the same thing as a dancer. When he's dancing with someone he adapts to blend with them. It goes both ways, of course.

Yeah jungkook has a lot of strength and power into his moves that just make it feel sexy lol jimin moves w such fluidity it looks like he’s underwater… which he actually has a solo from the map of the soul concert that he did right at the end of their “black swan” performance and it’s to the black swan instrumental and the lighting and stuff looks like he’s underwater and this dance solo is breathtaking… one of my faves of him but yes elegant sexy !! Then there’s hobi who dances with a lot of isolations , boneless but def has old school hip hop swag sexy, we have been blessed !!! Ha anyway. … I’m glad you enjoyed these… I love these 7 chaotic and most beautiful people inside and out and I am so happy to be able to follow along on your journey…. I recall when I watched the making of that Megan insert and I literally lost count how many times they redid it. I was growing tired of just watching them continually doing it over as they wanted it to be perfect even though what ever they do is perfect in our eyes. When u get a chance do watch it for yourself. 💜💜💜💜
It's amazing to watch. It was completely voluntary, and the choreographer thought it was good enough while they were still redoing it. The way they monitor themselves is really something to see.
Jungkook being textbook is a pretty great description. I think that while Hobi and Jimin have other, longer dance backgrounds that influence their style, JK came into dancing without that background influence (this is not a bad thing by any means) which leaves the choreo more "textbook". Him being textbook actually lets him show more of his power, imo, which actually makes it a great choice for him. Hobi has no bones, Jimin is more elegant with extraordinary lines and connections between moves, and JK brings power (does that guy ever run out of energy?). I love watching the three of them dancing together because of how their styles complement each other. I'll add V as well, especially when he loves a choreo. The joy when he does just radiates out and I love seeing that.
jungkook being like this makes so much sense because he a perfectionist and excels at anything so he's going to try to perfect everything he does until he does it right (though it's all naturally there too which is so unfair lol)
@@nightfrost1891 to be fair, all three of them are perfectionists. Hobi and Jimin only relax into giving it their own flair after they have the choreo down perfectly. There are times they don't add anything and just do the choreo - it just depends on whether it's appropriate or not. LOL "just" do the choreo. That's a heck of an understatement for all of them.
I think referring to JK , he had mentioned that he don't like to take vocal lessons to not compromise his personal tone (my personal thoughts are, if you're a trained opera singer you'd have trouble to sing Pop or R'nB bc you'd tend to bring your opera notes in and that's most definitely not what we want to hear during R'nB). Same goes for the dancing, Hobi came straight from street dancing and hip hop routes and Jimin was already a trained contemporary dancer (also look at his ballerino stance), so JK was a blank sheet. I know you what you mean about the dancing! Jimin no matter the dance, still shows his contemporary roots. It’s flowy and smooth. Hobi is a clear hip hop dancer and fluid. Jungkook is hard hitting, sharp and athletic(?) it’s hard to explain lol. But I still think that counts as his flair.
The absolute best version of Butter is BTS live walking across the bridge over the Wan River. The bridge is new and not yet open. They are in their home and know they Own It! They are so relaxed and confident. Truly BTS!!!
Did you see Jungkook's one-handed hand-stand in the hotter remix? I think you missed it. Shows his strength!! Jungkook learned how to dance as a trainee and went to the US for 2 months with their choreographer (who picked him out of all the trainees), whereas J-Hope had been dancing since he was 10 and Jimin was a top student in a performing arts high school in contemporary dance. That said, I like Jungkook's dancing - he usually has sharp, distinct moves and, Yes, some sexy added in. lol Anyway, you really need to see the behind the scenes/making of video for this. It shows their determination to get things as perfect as they can even for a 1 minute video. J-Hope - I don't think that man has bones in his ankles!! I'd be in the ER after trying that!
Jungkook put his style and sticks to chroreo at the same time. If you watch runs bts footwork which is hard. Members will missing the one slight footwork and sliding the foot in air.and You will see jungkook was doing whole footwork without missing that part and than sliding the foot in air. I mean he dont miss steps to make his style. He balanced both his dancing style and choreo.
I watched each version 7 tyms just to focus on each member cuz there was too much going on...just jimin falling from his chair like usual, namjoon doing random disco steps, V making funny faces, Suga abruptly dancing causing me to burst a big fat uwu nd etc. I suggest u to do the same Pat😂😅
You know what ? I'm an OT7. BUT, you have words to explain how Jimin makes you feel... You have words to explain how J-hope makes you feel. You have words and need your towel lol to explain how V makes you feel... I feel the same. SO good dancers and personalities. I get it. Then, you have no word for JK except "perfection", or "that the way the choreo should be done, period"... That's exactly the definition of JK... we don't know but we feel this "je ne sais quoi" about him that makes this guy at he level of MJ... We can't put him into words. JK, we so feel him but we have no words... To me, that makes him that special.... This guy is so unexpected from the start, and then... no words. JK is an enigma because he's got all. He's got it. I agree with your descriptions of their dancing styles. Jimin and J-Hope clearly show their background in contemporary dance and Hip-Hope while JK is more textbook but adds a lot of power in his moves. But I also feel like JK inspires himself of Jimin and J-Hope for some performances like the intros of MMA , where his dancing was more like Jimin or we are bulletproof pt2 where his solo was more Hip-Hop style. Jk clearly looks up to them in terms of dancing and as a perfectionist, he probably always try to learn from them. Great reaction as always 💜💜💜

Aaaw Pat fidgeting with JK's dance description was so cute 😅. But you were spot on! JK dances as per THE SCRIPT. It's the one thing all choreographers say about him. Compare him to someone who really read for the Exam and practiced HARD. You mentioned in the previous butter reaction that you'd hope on to another JK marathon. I recommend you react to his 'Dance evolution ' compilation by Ida S or his 'athletic abilities' compilation. You get to appreciate more his dance style. I also cannot wait for you to get in to the live performances on award shows. Especially Dionysus! The 3J (A.K.A Dance Line) really showcase their agility there. I liked JK's top of a moving table moves 🙌🏾

To add on to what you were saying about how 3J are different- and specifically focusing on the "sexiness" Jimin and Jungkook add to their styles, the way I interpret it is two sides of a coin! Jimin is very androgynous as a person and through his dancing as well. He blurs those lines and is seriously in touch with his feminine side especially when dancing..smooth lines, gracefullness, and that sexiness has something feminine to it. On the other hand- Jungkook's sexiness is leaning more masculine. It's barrelling, strength based, and sharp. They are both able to pull off choreo that may be leaning either way because they don't reject either side but accept it. The outcome produces some really interesting respective interpretations for their choreographies.
Spotify has multiple versions of Butter so take your pick. I love the crazy in the background of the videos. 3J's each have a level of flair which allows their individuality to come out. JK has been a dancer for the least amount of time (J-hope and Jimin entered the company as dancers). He's always been great with execution, yet finally has allowed himself to let that inner beast loose. Physically he is so strong that every move is punctuated. J-hope is street dance sexy, Jimin is modern dance sexy, JK is raw and young with unlimited potential. Pick your poison.
You can also see their personalities well. Jungkook, Yoongi, and Jin are introverts. Hobi, Namjoon, Jimin are extroverts. Tae is difficult he’s in between both he has his moments!
There is a practice video of the rap sequence. It took????? attempts till they got the degree of perfection they wanted. It took over 14 minutes to complete that 1 minute clip.

You missed JK bboying in the back. I love that they all have different styles. JK moves in a very strong way. I have always thought he was a combination of Jhope and Jimin's style. J-Hope is the swag man dancing he is just fluid in his movements. You really should catch some of his solo dance practices. Jimin you can tell is classically trained as he does like you say dance with elegance he makes sure his lines, hand movements etc are all in place and JK well he does like his work to be perfect for ARMY. He does have a naughtiness about him when he is dancing too, they ALL do. For me though Taehyung is very charismatic on stage and J-Hope too
Oddly enough...that BLUE blue hair? It was actually purple! The lighting/background colors used didn't cooperate well with the dye so it only made it look blue. In pics taken at the same time, indoors and out, you can clearly see it's purple...but something about that set...yep...we got Blueberry Kook in the videos. LOL
JHope did the choro for 3 stallions n you need to watch the reversals to the dance break as JHope is a perfectionist he made Jimin and Jk work their ass off till it was as right

He liked dance once he joined bighit but like hobi came to big hit with 7-8 years dance training and competing (winning of course 😊) already and jimin came to bighit with 4-5 years of contemporary and hip hop training …. So JK jumped into dance by learning their dances and stuff like that. He always uses to be really intimidated about like free styling and said he could never do it… but over the last couple of years he’s grown into a dancer that has more of his own vibe and style… but this whole dance video was thrown together so fast , BTS was pretty much on a break and they hadn’t been dancing together…. Jk wasn’t dancing at all…. But they came together to do this. He def didn’t have time to get comfy and put his own vibe into it… that’s why I love watching anything 2020- present with JK dancing bc he discovered a love for house dancing and he’s always loved b boys dancing and used to practice windmills and different handstands and stalls , jazz splits kinda stuff when it fit their music more…. But it’s been a long long time.
He’s a great student, learns fairly quickly… and I’m excited for you to watch fancams at some point… bc stage jungkook and dance practice jungkook are completely different beasts. He’s known for his fierce performances and just has this look in his eyes that will cause you to hold your breath lol that sheer power and letting loose is something he’s more recently developed naturally … ida s has a cool video “jungkook dance evolution” that’s pretty cool if you react to stuff like that one day

You should watch the 3-J’s dance practice for this. They were all exhausted by the end, aiming for perfection, but every time one of them wanted to do it “one more time” because he thought he could do better, they always did it again. Their professionalism is off the charts.
I completely agree with what you said about JK and its actually one of the things I love about watching him dance. To me Hobi has that street dance type of flow that he can always add or take away a step if needed and it looks natural. Jimin has a fluid dance flow which allows him to look like water once he starts moving. While JK has such precise movements it makes him look so damn professional giving into his Golden Maknae title lol

Whether here or on patrean you've got to see the behind the scenes for that last video. They redid it soooo many times. Like we all know they're perfectionist but that was surprising even for us seeing just how many times they did the video again and again and again (and again...😥) to get it just right. My respect for them is unmatched by this point (especially when it comes to hard work and effort💜)

I think you are spot on with your descriptions of the three J’s technicality on the choreo. Yes, JK (my bias) works hard in doing the dance moves how they are technically supposed to be. Jimin is very elegant with his moves. JHope, has a street swagger in his moves. All the 3 J’s are great in their own individual ways. 😍

Yeah jungkook has a lot of strength and power into his moves that just make it feel sexy lol jimin moves w such fluidity it looks like he’s underwater… which he actually has a solo from the map of the soul concert that he did right at the end of their “black swan” performance and it’s to the black swan instrumental and the lighting and stuff looks like he’s underwater and this dance solo is breathtaking… one of my faves of him but yes elegant sexy !! Then there’s hobi who dances with a lot of isolations , boneless but def has old school hip hop swag sexy, we have been blessed !!! I recall when I watched the making of that Megan insert and I literally lost count how many times they redid it. I was growing tired of just watching them continually doing it over as they wanted it to be perfect even though what ever they do is perfect in our eyes. When u get a chance do watch it for yourself. 💜💜💜💜
It's amazing to watch. It was completely voluntary, and the choreographer thought it was good enough while they were still redoing it.

Jungkook being textbook is a pretty great description. I think that while Hobi and Jimin have other, longer dance backgrounds that influence their style, JK came into dancing without that background influence (this is not a bad thing by any means) which leaves the choreo more "textbook". Him being textbook actually lets him show more of his power, imo, which actually makes it a great choice for him. Hobi has no bones, Jimin is more elegant with extraordinary lines and connections between moves, and JK brings power (does that guy ever run out of energy?). I love watching the three of them dancing together because of how their styles complement each other. I'll add V as well, especially when he loves a choreo. The joy when he does just radiates out and I love seeing that.
jungkook being like this makes so much sense because he a perfectionist and excels at anything so he's going to try to perfect everything he does until he does it right (though it's all naturally there too which is so unfair lol)
@@nightfrost1891 to be fair, all three of them are perfectionists. Hobi and Jimin only relax into giving it their own flair after they have the choreo down perfectly. There are times they don't add anything and just do the choreo - it just depends on whether it's appropriate or not. LOL "just" do the choreo. That's a heck of an understatement for all of them.

I think referring to JK , he had mentioned that he don't like to take vocal lessons to not compromise his personal tone (my personal thoughts are, if you're a trained opera singer you'd have trouble to sing Pop or R'nB bc you'd tend to bring your opera notes in and that's most definitely not what we want to hear during R'nB). Same goes for the dancing, Hobi came straight from street dancing and hip hop routes and Jimin was already a trained contemporary dancer (also look at his ballerino stance), so JK was a blank sheet. I know you what you mean about the dancing! Jimin no matter the dance, still shows his contemporary roots. It’s flowy and smooth. Hobi is a clear hip hop dancer and fluid. Jungkook is hard hitting, sharp and athletic(?) it’s hard to explain lol. But I still think that counts as his flair.

Did you see Jungkook's one-handed hand-stand in the hotter remix? I think you missed it. Shows his strength!! Jungkook learned how to dance as a trainee and went to the US for 2 months with their choreographer (who picked him out of all the trainees), whereas J-Hope had been dancing since he was 10 and Jimin was a top student in a performing arts high school in contemporary dance. That said, I like Jungkook's dancing - he usually has sharp, distinct moves and, Yes, some sexy added in. lol Anyway, you really need to see the behind the scenes/making of video for this. It shows their determination to get things as perfect as they can even for a 1 minute video. J-Hope - I don't think that man has bones in his ankles!! I'd be in the ER after trying that!

I agree with your descriptions of their dancing styles. Jimin and J-Hope clearly show their background in contemporary dance and Hip-Hope while JK is more textbook but adds a lot of power in his moves. But I also feel like JK inspires himself of Jimin and J-Hope for some performances like the intros of MMA , where his dancing was more like Jimin or we are bulletproof pt2 where his solo was more Hip-Hop style. Jk clearly looks up to them in terms of dancing and as a perfectionist, he probably always try to learn from them. Great reaction as always 💜💜💜

To add on to what you were saying about how 3J are different- and specifically focusing on the "sexiness" Jimin and Jungkook add to their styles, the way I interpret it is two sides of a coin!
Jimin is very androgynous as a person and through his dancing as well. He blurs those lines and is seriously in touch with his feminine side especially when dancing..smooth lines, gracefullness, and that sexiness has something feminine to it. On the other hand- Jungkook's sexiness is leaning more masculine. It's barrelling, strength based, and sharp. They are both able to pull off choreo that may be leaning either way because they don't reject either side but accept it. The outcome produces some really interesting respective interpretations for their choreographies.

JK has been a dancer for the least amount of time (J-hope and Jimin entered the company as dancers). He's always been great with execution, yet finally has allowed himself to let that inner beast loose. Physically he is so strong that every move is punctuated. J-hope is street dance sexy, Jimin is modern dance sexy, JK is raw and young with unlimited potential. Pick your poison.

J-Hope is the swag man dancing he is just fluid in his movements. You really should catch some of his solo dance practices. Jimin you can tell is classically trained as he does like you say dance with elegance he makes sure his lines, hand movements etc are all in place and JK well he does like his work to be perfect for ARMY. He does have a naughtiness about him when he is dancing too, they ALL do. For me though Taehyung is very charismatic on stage and J-Hope too
Oddly enough...that BLUE blue hair? It was actually purple! The lighting/background colors used didn't cooperate well with the dye so it only made it look blue. In pics taken at the same time, indoors and out, you can clearly see it's purple...but something about that set...yep...we got Blueberry Kook in the videos. LOL
