Aww. I'm happy for you if you feel more confident without your gap, even though you were beautiful with or without. I also closed my gap, but just with rubber bands actually.

I got braces on in August this year and went in for my 1st tightening last week. I can't wait until my gap closes. I won't smile any of my pictures. I hate my teeth. I just have a gap on top in the front like yours.

So seems you have worn your braces for about 7 months as of June. How long do they expect you to wear them? Is your brace journey being accelerated? (only asking bcuz I'm again amazed how fast your gap has closed) I LOVE IT. This upcoming up Wednesday I will have had mines on for one month o_O and watching your transformation has gotten me excited.
You are very welcome. Thank you for actually watching my videos! I should have my braces in for about 18 months. And yes I still see significant changes in my teeth every day but it's more acceleration in my slight overbite now. My teeth are being pushed back but it is very hard to catch on camera. I hope you like your braces as much as I do because month 2 is where you begin to see results!

I have a gap just got my braces a week ago and the pain I cannot chew lol but it feels a lil better now and I go back in June too get my bottom braces on, I can't wait until I'm done with braces lol, horrible part is pain and food always get stuck

You have so much more progress then I have gotten in my 4 almost 5 months it seems like you're getting sooooo much more movement I got my power chain my 4th month I see some change but not like I thought I would u are pretty with & without ur gap just as I feel like I may not close my top gap which is smaller than my bottom gap my bottom gap is big
I think it's because I got my power chain really early. My orthodontist was eager to seem my gap close lol. And they always take more time to close the bottom for some reason but good luck with your braces and thanks for watching my progress. I appreciate that!

How did you go about getting them because I was waiting for my dentist to give me a referral but they were doing too much so I stopped going but I want to know do I have to go through a dentist with state insurance?
Depends on what city you live in. The first time I had braces I didn’t need a referral. I went straight to the orthodontist and signed up. The second time I got brace I had moved to a new city and the ortho required a referral from a dentist. I recommend Going to the orthodontist that you like that is in your insurance network and get a quote. They will let you know if you need a referral or not.

no! they dont , only when they are tightening it , which shouldnt hurt alot . it hurts like less than a shot . and when they are putting the things in your back teeth , that shouldnt hurt alot either. you should be fine !
traash plays not true. The molars are very uncomfortable when u first get braces and try to eat for me it felt like I had rocks in my mouth trying to chew and bite down

Yes it's normal. Your orthodontist will shave your teeth down to even them after you get the braces off. Or at least mine did.

So sorry to hear that. I think it all depends on your pain tolerance. I can tolerate a ton of pain and I love food so much that I was willing to push through it.

They hurt a few days after you get them . And when you get tightening . Some people may experience a lot of pain some won't . I got my braces like 1 month or 2 ago Still excited that I got gold . But its worth it !

Yes you may have whatever color band you like although most people get the clear bands because they are not as noticeable.

+Chels T I did not eat anything for the first 2 days. After that I ate noodles, Ritz crackers and bread. I chewed at the very back of my mouth, but after a week went by I could eat regularly

i had the same gap..wore braces for 2 years..the gap closed
but now if i dont wear my retainer for even 2 days..it comes back 😩
Thats what happened to me. It got painful to put in my retainer, so I could not continue to wear it and my gap came back. So I will need braces again.

Arpit Sharma one is called a frenectomy the other I can't think of basically they put something under your gum in the back to keep it closed. it's like a mini surgery that shouldn't cost much I have to get both.

i always look at other people with gaps and think they look so cute, then i look at myself & think i look mad ugly.
I recommend everyone with clear braces not to get yellow rubber bands because your teeth will appear as yellow
