This is the very reason I love this guy. He reminds me of Moussa Dembele, I was very jealous of the fact that they had a player whos so good in knocking off players thereafter its smooth transition. The last player we had who could do that was Cazorla. Odegaard excites me too on the RCM because his another one whos got Modric transitioning. I wish we could get a player like Tilemans on the left. Someone to replace Xhakas build up and help Partey play Box to Box.

I would think Fabian Ruiz would give better balance than tilemans, arteta wants that left footer for that balance. How good is Fabian Ruiz I don’t truly know but he is 25 and only 16million in the summer transfer window, got to take the risk.

I know its impossible. But with Partey in the team I would love to see Arsenal go all out for Pogba to replace/provide competition for Xhaka. Also wouldn't mind keeping torrera as back up for Partey. Pogba and Odegaard as our two numbers 8s will either be insane or a disaster.

Dani was good in moments but not up there with partey. The physicality and pace, whilst still being so calm and composed in sticky situations is mesmerising. And he can power up the field like Viera/Yaya Toure.

Man partey is beast in midfield. He is so in form right now after city game . He is confident, technical, good speed , strength, passings only thing he lack is his shooting but i dont want goals from him anyway. If we can get good upgrade for xhaka ,who is good but he is kind of slow and you never know when he will do mistake to cost us number on field or score board. our midfield will be nightmare for any team. Odegard also being in super form and he is still young . Man im so ready for this team to win something .

The way he uses his first touch so precisely to take him away from his marker and into the space to dribble or look up for the pass just reminds me of Zidane so much. Also the way sometimes he allows the ball to roll across his body before dropping his shoulder and taking his touch past his man with strong physical strides and then effortlessly provide a perfect pass. And yes comparing anyone to Zidane is a huge compliment but Thomas Partey is just a different class from most midfielders I see.

He's such an economical and efficient performer, he only does a trick when needed to get out of a situation or away from an opponent, never for show or as an extravagant gesture.

It's good to see him getting some confidence. If he cuts down on mistakes and adds a few goals and assists (I know he's more defensive minded but he got them at Athletico) then he start to push for premier league teams of the week far more frequently.

Seeing this video makes thinkful…most of the footages are from last season, when arsenal was struggling with the results and shoots on goals. We can see now how long a process can be.
During one year and a half, the players were mostly learning positionning on the field, passing lines, keeping and passing the ball under pressure, and creating offensive phases in arteta style.
Now, after 2 years, we can see glimpses of the final product. And to be honest, i too was criticising arteta, but now the game is really beautiful. Beautiful phases, some high intensity attacking football, and a tactical maturity that i havent see in Arsenal since a long time.
