It's so strange how societies and people groups, as collectives, act really similarly to people as individuals. Unhealed traumas becoming weapons against others, entitlement, all these sorts of things. Learning as much as I can about PTSD and history has really been a trip
Thank you for that history, Sim. Bless

Thank you for publicly reaffirming your commitment to fetishistic disavowal. May your prioritisation of symbolism bear many fruitful abstractions.

This was so interesting. You should do a collab with Dr Eleanor Janega and Dr Kate Lister. Some of this also included sumptuary laws. The Roman Catholic Church was the only denomination who practiced this. Other Catholic Churches allowed priests and nuns to marry so there wasn't the weirdness of Rome.

Mark your calendars: February 25 is fast approaching. In just 18 days, we honor the memory of our brother, Aaron Bushnell, who self-immolated one year ago in front of the Israeli embassy to protest the genocide in Gaza. His final words-"Free Palestine"-must never be forgotten. Let his sacrifice fuel our fight for freedom and justice!

It’s so weird how some concepts and ideas can stay within the minds of people centuries later. I’m an adoptee who recently found about being ethnically Irish. One of the things that makes sense was the sensitivity I had to oppression, violence and genocide and how upset I would get over such things. Now that I also am educated on my ancestors history including Hibernophobia, 800 years of indentured servitude/ slavery/ colonization and the Irish Genocide known as the Potato famine. It’s just sad how Israelis will try to aggravate the Irish by laughing at hibernophobic caricatures and the potato famine, all I can do is pity them for positioning themselves towards the British which were not only the ones who controlled Palestine before Israel came into existence but were the ones who created the Balfour declaration. On top of which, I just see so many people use the Jewish trauma of the holocaust to justify the genocide of another people. This

Plenty of people would call an idea like this phooey, but thinking about (of what little I know of 😅) epigenetics, and the pressures of evolution, it doesn't sound totally out there honestly. We're only just starting to understand generational trauma in people who were in contact with the traumatized relatives. When violence of that level is imposed on a people for that long, maybe it leaves scars deeper than we can currently understand

Yes, the definite cause must be the re-awakening of unique genetic messaging hidden deep within your marrow. Definitely no other reasonable explanation for experiencing an aversion to oppression.

Will you be translating your book into Russian? There are many publishing houses in Moscow. However, they are unlikely to be accepted, since almost all Jews in Russia support Israel.
