Nice Job on the modifications Gabriel. I know what you're talking about. Real pain to get my handle on and off my Adventure cook kit. Thanks for the simple solution.
Outstanding Brother, I have been watching You and your Rock Star Dad, I love your Content, I actually went to my Dollar Store and found the Boxed Milk 🥛 you showed in your Review, I love the Stanley products, I am trying to save up, to get The USMC sleeping system, I'm 6'3 so I need to purchase the longest and wildest Sleeping system as possible, I loved the Mod you did on your Handel Thank you.Sincerely your freind from Mo Rick and God bless you and your family and are Great Country and Republic
Ricky I have to agree that I do have a totally awesome Rock Star Dad! That dollar store box milk is the way to go! I love the Stanley products because they are affordable and they are readily available. Being over 6 foot, it is a necessity to get that large size bag. Thank you for your kind words about the French Press modifications! God bless you and yours as well!
With the amount of thought and experience you guys have with camping/backpacking cook kits, it would be awesome to see you guys design one. If you could find some dude in NC to hammer out and weld stainless steel kits for ya I'm sure you could make some of the best in the industry! I'm thinking a fully nesting cook/brew/bake kit made in the USA!!! ok get on it Gabe! ;) haha
@@robertsbushcraft gotta admit, I love your Stanley B&P usage, Roberts Bushcraft. Mark Young has a video out today on this particular combination and I happily referred folks to this channel/video 👍
10oz vacume food jar fits perfect hods 32 heaping tspoon of coffee. Looks like a collapsible cup may store under screen too since it wont go all the way down.
Have you tried a 4” spring form pan as a lid? It’ll clamp on and extend the inner cooking chamber of your cup when baking. Then clamps to the bottom of cup to nest. If you drill holes in the side of the spring form ring and remove the bottom plate and it works as a windshield and pot support for 1.5 oz tin can alcohol stove to boil water.
My goodness, when you peeked out from behind that wood pile, I immediately wanted to play hide and seek with you! How are you so adorable? (Don't mind me, I'm almost 40, I'm sure you're very rugged, but I just wanna pinch your rosey cheeks!)
@@robertsbushcraft What I mean is - both sides do not need to be trimmed. The side you put in first can be the original length (or even longer) because once it bottoms out that sets the amount of space you have to work with to get the second side in. So at the 7:45 mark of this video, if you would have put the left side in first and then the trimmed right side, it probably would have went in with no problem. Certainly the way you settled on means it doesn't matter which side you put in first, but you really didn't need the second cut. Still, it is a good mod and I appreciate the video!
I just purchased the French press AND the two cup Cookset after I discovered that they can also nest together! So if you also have the adventure two cup set combined with your nesting hack, you have a 3 pot system. Here's a link to my video I just put up yesterday. th-cam.com/video/Ni97muglEfw/w-d-xo.html
Solid brew & bake kit!! Thanks for all the r&d 🙌🏽
Thanks, Zachary! My goal is to make this kit the best that I can. I love the modularity of it all.

Amen to that, Dean! God bless! Thanks for the opening scene mention, I like it too!
Nice kit and mod. I do have the boil and brew kit. Thanks and take care.
Thank you and the same to you, Quinn!
Nice Job on the modifications Gabriel. I know what you're talking about. Real pain to get my handle on and off my Adventure cook kit. Thanks for the simple solution.
Hey thanks, Jeff! These handles do their job nicely, just needs a bit of grinding and cutting here and there.
Genius!!!
Thank you for sharing brother. JB
You're welcome, JBn951!
Cool kit man
Appreciate it OD! I'm working to make this my ultimate cook kit.
Morning mi friend, interesting little kit, something to think about thanks. 🇺🇸👍🇬🇧
Good morning to you, Andy! I'm working towards making this my ultimate cook kit and the handles were the first to mod.
@@robertsbushcraft nice one like ya thinking 👍
Nice!
Thanks, Connor!

That's an idea! Seriously, that is a really good idea!
@@robertsbushcraft I know I'd buy one from you guys! Make 10 and I bet you'll sell em all and then go from there!

What Stanley needs to add is a coffee canister that stores inside the press.
At the moment I'm using a glass pickle jar in mine

You might try your local "used a bit" store for lids. We have a Goodwill and a St. Vincent de Paul store that always has lids and they're cheap.
We absolutely love our thrift stores and thank you for the suggestion, Ralph!
can't you just squeeze the handle so it's touching and slide it down into channel? that way both sides just pop into the holes at the same time?
Yes, but, it was more difficult than it should have been. So, I decided to trim them down.
Get a silicone bake pan , can't put it in the fire but it can fold up and works for the baking
We picked up a few and we're going to give them a try.
Nice. Sometimes you just have to do mods to make things better. It's sad but true. Lol.
Amen to that, freedom dove. This kit is shaping up nicely!
Deform the pan sides you can make them more flat and fit it bettet just heat the metal before working on it, won’t beautiful but functional at least
Hey Gabriel, Blake btw what camera do you use? Is it a GoPro? And good job
Hey Blake! This is done with my phone, currently using a Samsung S10e in the 4k setting.

I have not...that sounds like a great idea, Justin.
👍🏻👍🏻

You make a guy blush :D
Why would put the short side in first on the first try. That is exactly the same as not cutting at all.
Not sure I am following you, DA.

Dremel. Boom you're done.
That could work!

Right on, CNY! Solid kit indeed!
Thank you!!
That was supposed to be Dremel not what got printed out this phone is a pain
Well if you had a journal you could have done it a lot better instead of fighting it with a hacksaw
Grind the end off of the handle where it goes in the pot about an eighth of an inch should go in alot easier with 1 side shorter.
Thanks for the tip, Ric!
