EARL....I’m surprised you didn’t grease the bearings before you installed them...I find that most bearings don’t have sufficient lubricant from the factory,,,,,that’s the first thing out of the box that I do before I even run it..I find it protects the bearings more efficiently,,,I run into water at times and have no serious issues with the GREASED bearings,,,,that’s just my thing...🇺🇸👈🚘
That Maxx really looks sharp! Not too bad of a repair, quick and hopefully not too hard on the wallet this time. That old Rochester 4bbl, on the other hand, might be a bit more of a project 😎
With the new bearings installed and running smoothly it should help it spin up and control the jumps in the air 👌 if I remember rightly was that one that was suffering on air control.
I don't know if you're willing to buy from Amazon but they do have 4s Backflips available. (I know you said you tend to only buy when you can ship via USPS, but thought I'd let you know).
Thats what i figured they are 1400 before tax and batteries just like the scx6 here in Canada. At least the scx6 is 3s. The new Maxx is 770 before tax for a 10 scale. 460 tax in for a granite though but 600 for a big rock. You gotta pay to play in the north.
I thought that new bearings came with an anti rust agent that needed to be cleaned off? Then you had to oil them. I’ve heard this before on the rpm bearings. Not sure if that’s the case with all new bearings. ??

Ph blaster doesnt do anything. Only wd40 menaged to free some bearings. Once they seize or sound like if the balls has flat spots once cleaned they are done.
Maxx is the perfect size for my driving style and easy to work on. Another great how to video.💪

I normally run bearing oil as they look thin inside the bearings but I know traxxas bearings last a long time with oil only 👍👍

What kind of grease r u using to put in the bearings?
Disc brake bearing grease for automotive use it has resistance but last forever 👍👍good for bashing rc cars
