Orthodox Center in Jordan

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Christopheros Atallah of Amman, an Orthodox Center is being built in the northern part of Jordan to meet the needs of Orthodox Christians throughout the Middle East. It is adjacent to the Monastery of Our Lady Virgin Mary the Life Giving Spring, the only women's monastery in Jordan. The basic structure is being completed this fall, but an additional $5.6 million will be needed over the next two years to complete the structure. It should be a great blessing to supporting the population of Orthodox Christians in the Holy Land and Near East, which has dwindled in recent decades.
