Great video! I’m a big amity fan, some background on the song. When the prior album came out there were fans sending letters about that they got them through rough suicidal times, some even sending razors they were originally planning on using. It’s basically Joel(the screamer) saying “I’m glad we helped you, but also please do seek professional help as I’m also struggling” hence the “don’t lean on me, cause I’m still falling please don’t fall with me.”

Glad you not only reacted to this but gave some really good insight as to what you thought the song meant. They are known for openly talking about depression, anxiety, suicide, and other tough topics like this and letting people they aren't alone through all of these struggles. They give so many people who are going through these situations hope including me, the impact they have had on me personally is bigger than you can imagine. Thanks for putting some real effort into looking at this song and getting it out to more people.

You’re catching it man. The song is about feeling forgotten before you’re gone. This whole thing is retrospect. I think he’s already done it, the video is retrospect because he’s a ghost. He tries to go, and then he wakes up and sees life. The whole video is his thoughts. That’s why nobody can see or hear him. My feelings anyway

The song is about Joel Birch feeling helpless that all his fans are coming to him and sharing stories about grief and depression. And that he feels like he cant really provide the support they need because he's falling as well

My man. This is one of my favorite bands and this song is one of my favorites. This always hits me in the feels. All of their songs are about death/suicide.

He actually caught the meaning faster than me, a huge TAA fan with 65 songs liked and heard almost every album.
I’ve nearly committed multiple times, these guys always got me back up and so did my friends.
I actually slightly cried at his insight on the song, because it hit me so hard because it was so true.
And I feel the exact same way, but I’m gonna be honest right now.
REACT TO MORE OF THESE GUYSSSS and not JUST the one album.

TAA are a great band. Appreciate the reaction. Their other song Pittsburgh is great.
