Bourbon Brewery on the river side on mansion street is pretty op aswell. If you use the storage/loading bay you got a MEGA garage and the ground floor office is a large room with plenty of space The compound it is located in has 3 entrances ( 2 road-entries you can block off) and some windows on the riverside you can weld shut Extreme amounts of space, many grinding opportunities for electronics, metalwork, carpentry - has an accessible rooftop of great size for your farm Has access to metric tons of bourbon for molotovs or wound treatment AND is very close to the Amazon/Logistics warehouses at the harbour for even more disassembling and looting of all sorts of goods!
I would highly recommend the U-Store It storage facility that's just south of the mall. In addition to the large amount of loot that's there, the office supply building just north of it has 6 guaranteed water dispenser spawns, there's a dentist office just cattycorner to the main storage building that has a load of medical supplies, there's a gas station just down the street, and its super close to the mall. You can also typically find a generator inside of the main storage building. Great location, especially if you have sledgehammer to knock down some of the walls on the second floor of the main building to create a larger room.
@@MrAtomicDuck Sadly no, that's the only real downside of basing there. The closest building you can claim is the single-family homes just down the street to the West next to the apartments. Pretty close, but still annoying.

I finally got a good base in Louisville, in the farm area south east of the city, with barely 50 zombies roaming around, cleaned it out, and barricaded well, got weeks worth of food and a van to move gear, then headed into the city to search for gear or a newer base close to the city, and I find this interesting yet odd office building or expo center and started to clear it out. I cleared out 50 zombies or so and made it to the second or third floor only to open a door to a giant drop into a locked expo room. Be weary of this place.
@@MrAtomicDuck retanaru has a video on it, but I didn’t watch it because I assumed it was something else. It’s the catwalk above the expo center north east side, might be worth scouting out dangerous places for players as a video idea. I’m sure there’s quite a few little traps here and there
I know its far from being finished, but I definitely could see Eerie County having some interesting multiplayer experiences once done. I’ve been playing on it a lot lately with a number of quality of life mods such as the water dispenser mod, motorcycles, lockpicking, more building, etc. and I have to say the map has a lot of potential. You got your former checkpoints that once capture can be your best friend with unbreaking walls, a couple hidden bunkers across the map, and if you are gutsy enough, even a four story hospital in the western half of the map which boasts numerous ammo and gun lockers and plenty of medical, with a cafeteria nearby, and even a former office building which could become a fortress if a group moved in with central courtyard ripe with potential.
If you're basing with a large group and want to share resources under a single safehouse, maybe consider clearing out and claiming a multistory apartment building. Some actually have a parking lot for the first floor sealed with a lockable garage door, so that people can't steal your cars.

I want to note that the first base highlighted needs constant perimeter checks on a daily basis (depending on your game settings) as it causes the zombies to spawn within the compound when left unvisited. For the second base, it's good for the mechanic as there is also a nearby large parking area near the yellow building, helps you easily grind the mechanic skill. The Third one as said is also great if you want to have a laid back gameplay focusing on foraging, farming, and just outright surviving in the wilderness. On the Fourth Base, if you don't want to risk breaking the unbreakable fences, I would recommend building a stair then a window and dropping some sheet rope, it prevents zombies from coming in and they can't climb the rope while you can, a safe and easy in and out access if you want to check out the nearby houses. The Last one is also really great for multiplayer. I would recommend choosing the storage units around Louisville as most of them are sealed in by metal gates. If you are a brave adrenaline driven fighter, cease commercial or residential buildings like schools and living on the second floor by breaking the ladders and dropping some sheet rope on the exterior windows.
Bottom left of the park in the centre of the city, is a horse training stables. One gate at the inner courtyard entrance and some metal sheets for the windows, and it makes a great base location that is easily expandable.
Been in a role play server for the last 3 weeks where we’ve built a community in the Baseball Stadium, and we’ve invited active war. Surprisingly Viable with the right amount of people and skills.
In our co op play we cleared a eight floor appartement with a garage in the middle of the town. Its a few streets down if you enter the town from the mainroad of the entrace of the military checkpoint
My friend has really gotten into this game. We are living on the military base. Been sleeping in the tents. It's huge and the fences protect us. He's now building a gigantic structure we can use when Winter hits. There are 3 of us in the base.
I'd advise against the base at 1:20 on multiplayer servers. A faction in my server setup a base there and all other factions in Lv raided them simply because its the first safehouse you check when looking to raid.
I know it's not exactly Louisville but there is a new summer camp area with patch 41 that is just to the south of the Valley Station mall. It looks a bit fancier than the one in the western wilderness and is central to West Point and Louisville.
Recently moved into the riverside manor, converted the middle garage slot into a massive armory for processing the weapons, magazines, and munitions that I collect; the right-hand garage is a loading-unloading bay for whatever loot trailer I bring back after a good scavenging run; and the left-hand is still a functional vehicle maintenance bay. A few simple fortifications, and I could peacefully sort thru the metric tonnes of amenities I bring home to make it more comfortable if living visitors come along. Love the fireplace. ❤️
I really enjoy your video. I’m subbed now. I wanted to share that the last area you showed is where my friends and I have posted up our base. I always new it was a good spot. I thought it was interesting you put it on the list. It is a great spot. We are close to everything we need. We put walls all the way around and have a double gate at the entrance with a guard tower. It’s a highly fortifiable spot.
Waterfront apartments next to the expo and a couple of residential blocks of flats nearby offer you fish for food, endless water supply. Roomy rooftops for farming or combat. Residential locations offer excellent loot which includes books, guns and ammo, hiking backpacks and leather jackets, canned food (and butter/ice cream).

My experience with the second house was not great. I'm playing on apocalypse solo and I had to kill some 150 zombies (I counted) just to get the place under control. Once I had it was a nightmare living there. Because the fence in the front is barred zombies wandering around can easily see you. They'll break the gate in almost no time and the garage doors are all full of windows making it really easy for them to see you in there. I've been there five days and I've had to rebuild the front gate three times already. Because the garage shares a wall with the outside perimeter if you're working on a car in there zombies will almost always hear you and come banging on the gate.
My friends and I are moving into Louis, migrating from a gated community in Riverwood. The current plan is using the three houses you started the video with as a Forwards Operation Base while we try to more permanently claim the gated community directly south of it, which we're doing because of a larger number of people. If there were fewer of us, we'd probably stick in those three. I myself am trying to get to those houses on a Singleplayer game that I've set aside for dicking around, including cheats. Mostly just experimenting and relaxing. As much as I enjoy the fear I get from normal gameplay, being able to mess around is fun, too.
In my Solo game at the moment im based up in Jim's Automotive on the northwest part of the city near the fossoil HQ. Its got a high metal fence in the back that would be great for farming if i wasnt doing an always winter playthrough with nothing but snow, but its also got 2 vehicle bays and one large vehicle bay for a bus or large truck, an upstairs storage room as a bed area, and rooftop access for scouting. So far it is the best base location i have found in lousiville for my personal taste.

I would recommend the Baseball Bat Factory. This includes 2 Parking lots outside. A Library, Kitchen, many offices that you can expand and make a bedroom and 4 doors for garage. You can close the area with some logs between the garage and the lobby.
0:38 The reason you wouldn't want people claiming non-residential buildings in multi-player is because claiming a safehouse in any building stops not only zombies from spawning, but loot as well. If someone claimed a gun-store or a military checkpoint/post, or a clinic/hospital, well... You see what I mean? Also, most vanilla servers have admin tools which let you re-designate buildings according to the regular safehouse rules, as well as create entirely new zones for, say, player-built cabins out in the woods. It's a good mod for some people, but for everyone else they might find this kind of thing to get annoying really fast and just not worth even having.
There's a setting that allows loot to spawn even if a building has been safehoused, which is a good fix for that first issue, if a little annoying for people that DO want to base there permanently. Still, helps fix any issues with loot spawns being permanently stopped :)
Personally I love my current base at the Fossoil stadium, you have a huge open space inside which can grows trees, farm and have a safe big jogging track, a garrage at the parking entrance or at the Brewery entrance, safe rooms at the 3rd floor vip lounge, tons of seats and toilets to disassemble, and of course its in the middle of the city where you can get easy access to all loots. Its a little hard to clear and seal up all the entrances. But its worth it!
I found a place near the art gallery, across the road from the fun xtreme building. Small building with two floors, one apartment each, and a garage on the ground floor with two small garage doors and two storage rooms off it. Can fit 4 cars in the garage, top floor apartment has a balcony. It's down an alley and is easily fenced and defendable.
I copied Cromulant Archer and am retrofitting one of the more empty warehouses by the Motel near the office building and apartment building into a fortress; the storage units to my north ensure me at least 2 or three generators, the warehouse to my south has literal tons of supplies, and theres a postal office nearby that as soon as I redead the zombies nearby will be full of books to loot and read.
I've watched a bunch of these for Louisville from different creators and you all are sleeping on the Distillery on the west side of town. Riverfront property for fishing, a built in bar in the southern building, Large garage and accessible roof on the north for cars and rooftop farming. Plenty of room inside once the shelves are cleared to create custom rooms. Factory warehouse to the north for all the building materials you need. Across the street is a bunch of trees that is zoned "forest" for good foraging and trapping. All that and it is almost fully gated with only two entrances to close off. It's an amazing location.
there's a place south of the baseball stadium that is surrounded by houses with huge fences and in the middle is a communal park area, I think that might be a fun challenge to make into a base. it has plenty of cover from the zombies and only one street entrance into the community.
I could also recommend the housing development that’s near the east fire department it’s multiple houses that share one big backyard and it’s fenced in
the best base in the whole game must be the refugee zone/ military base between louisville and westpoint. you got river access, fences right up to the water, big barrels for rain collecting, heaps of generators and weapons and located right in the middle of two gas stations

My favourite - the huge flathouse in the city itself. Is it hard? Yes. Is there shitton of zombies? Well, yes. But is it worth it? In my opinion, completely. You can remake the whole apartment building into multiple warehouses, rooms, kitchens and so on. It has huge garage and you can farm on the roof of the garage.
Question about your server and Patreon. Is it the same servers for players that are whitelisted and Patreon contributors? Is the difference that Patreon contributor get an instant whitelist? I’ll check it out because I prefer playing with a community instead of random servers with no interactions
The Patreon server only includes people that have supported the Patreon. The difference is that this server is modded, and will also hold special events. Link Discord with Patreon, join the Discord, and you can find instructions there :)
the distillery is great 3 large building linked together by bridge it almost entirely walled so you don't need to built lot of wall and there huge interior garage to unload you car also river is next to it so easy access to water and fishing and to end lot of bourbon bottle to find get nearly 40 . the location is on the road left of his last location suggested in the video then drive about 100m until you see a black forge steel fence .
Any commonly traversed or, flat out any base location that is in any pre made structures is terrible if there is no kind of loot protection system that is built into the server, if not then you need constant patrols if you want to settle in a pre made area, really only do-able for clans, otherwise you should head for areas that people won’t ever and will never go to, for example in the middle of butt fuck nowhere, or better yet a 1x1 bridge leading to water base, make the entrance to the base via the bridge in a non well known area.
Hey dont go to the last one, is right in the middle of 2 chucks, is right in the middle of the street, that mean thst even if you block the entrace, of the neighberhood the zombies could still spawn inside, also the the frame rate is very low when you walk in the middle of the stree.
Wait...I thought in the beginning PZ only had Maldraugh and just a bit of the surrounding area. So West Point, Riverside, ect...were all add on's to that original map. Or am I misremembering the good old days 10 years ago?
I've been playing for about 7 years bro, lost count, long before cars were added lol. I guess that makes me a PZ boomer. It's all on one big map, and being stuck in my ways I actually never bothered to visit Louisville until recently, it's not necessary for loot as that's everywhere, but the sheer scale and detail is amazing, they worked really hard on creating new assets and it pays off. Definitely go for a visit as it's an interesting sight to behold. I'm still waiting for NPCs, when we have them I'll go and set up a large community in the city
Is it worth the trip going to lousiville for a single vanilla gameplay ? Because the first week all the foods are probably rotten and the player still managing the base town where they spawn. Unless they make a spawn point in lousiville that would be great.
Sure, it's still worth heading up there in my opinion. There's a LOT more loot than the other areas. It's supposed to be a challenge/journey, so I doubt it'll get spawn points.

Claim a safehouse by right clicking on the ground inside a building. Factions can be created from the symbol that reads "Client" on the left side of your screen. These only apply in Multiplayer.
Ok so since the 41 build is out now do I need to change my game properties in steam before launching or is the game good to go the second I just hit play
This game is just soo addicting, I'm resisting the temptation of always playing it soo that everytime I go in PZ, it feels really super fun, plus I'm prolonging my gameplay, but the replayability of this game is insane, juste the base game is wow, imagine the mods I'll have to explore, wow Ima be playing this for the rest of my life aha, best solo and MP game in zombies settings, and rp is such gold 8n this game, I hope that they'll finish the game on day and take all what they did here in PZ and make a better bigger project in the universe of PZ, maybe zombies in space? Alien planets? We never know, maybe it'll br an alien invasion game

Because the garage shares a wall with the outside perimeter if you're working on a car in there zombies will almost always hear you and come banging on the gate.
My friends and I are moving into Louis, migrating from a gated community in Riverwood. The current plan is using the three houses you started the video with as a Forwards Operation Base while we try to more permanently claim the gated community directly south of it, which we're doing because of a larger number of people. If there were fewer of us, we'd probably stick in those three.
I myself am trying to get to those houses on a Singleplayer game that I've set aside for dicking around, including cheats. Mostly just experimenting and relaxing. As much as I enjoy the fear I get from normal gameplay, being able to mess around is fun, too.
I like the northern most "River Mansion" as it has quick access to all the nice loot places.
In my Solo game at the moment im based up in Jim's Automotive on the northwest part of the city near the fossoil HQ. Its got a high metal fence in the back that would be great for farming if i wasnt doing an always winter playthrough with nothing but snow, but its also got 2 vehicle bays and one large vehicle bay for a bus or large truck, an upstairs storage room as a bed area, and rooftop access for scouting. So far it is the best base location i have found in lousiville for my personal taste.
I hear good things about this place! One of my buddies is basing there in solo.

I would recommend the Baseball Bat Factory. This includes 2 Parking lots outside. A Library, Kitchen, many offices that you can expand and make a bedroom and 4 doors for garage. You can close the area with some logs between the garage and the lobby.

0:38 The reason you wouldn't want people claiming non-residential buildings in multi-player is because claiming a safehouse in any building stops not only zombies from spawning, but loot as well. If someone claimed a gun-store or a military checkpoint/post, or a clinic/hospital, well... You see what I mean?
Also, most vanilla servers have admin tools which let you re-designate buildings according to the regular safehouse rules, as well as create entirely new zones for, say, player-built cabins out in the woods. It's a good mod for some people, but for everyone else they might find this kind of thing to get annoying really fast and just not worth even having.
There's a setting that allows loot to spawn even if a building has been safehoused, which is a good fix for that first issue, if a little annoying for people that DO want to base there permanently. Still, helps fix any issues with loot spawns being permanently stopped :)
Personally I love my current base at the Fossoil stadium, you have a huge open space inside which can grows trees, farm and have a safe big jogging track, a garrage at the parking entrance or at the Brewery entrance, safe rooms at the 3rd floor vip lounge, tons of seats and toilets to disassemble, and of course its in the middle of the city where you can get easy access to all loots.
Its a little hard to clear and seal up all the entrances. But its worth it!
I found a place near the art gallery, across the road from the fun xtreme building. Small building with two floors, one apartment each, and a garage on the ground floor with two small garage doors and two storage rooms off it. Can fit 4 cars in the garage, top floor apartment has a balcony. It's down an alley and is easily fenced and defendable.
Some of this is good for my single player run :D, i wanna go to that place soon

I copied Cromulant Archer and am retrofitting one of the more empty warehouses by the Motel near the office building and apartment building into a fortress; the storage units to my north ensure me at least 2 or three generators, the warehouse to my south has literal tons of supplies, and theres a postal office nearby that as soon as I redead the zombies nearby will be full of books to loot and read.
I've watched a bunch of these for Louisville from different creators and you all are sleeping on the Distillery on the west side of town. Riverfront property for fishing, a built in bar in the southern building, Large garage and accessible roof on the north for cars and rooftop farming. Plenty of room inside once the shelves are cleared to create custom rooms. Factory warehouse to the north for all the building materials you need. Across the street is a bunch of trees that is zoned "forest" for good foraging and trapping. All that and it is almost fully gated with only two entrances to close off. It's an amazing location.

there's a place south of the baseball stadium that is surrounded by houses with huge fences and in the middle is a communal park area, I think that might be a fun challenge to make into a base. it has plenty of cover from the zombies and only one street entrance into the community.

the best base in the whole game must be the refugee zone/ military base between louisville and westpoint. you got river access, fences right up to the water, big barrels for rain collecting, heaps of generators and weapons and located right in the middle of two gas stations

My favourite - the huge flathouse in the city itself. Is it hard? Yes. Is there shitton of zombies? Well, yes. But is it worth it? In my opinion, completely. You can remake the whole apartment building into multiple warehouses, rooms, kitchens and so on. It has huge garage and you can farm on the roof of the garage.
The baseball stadium is pretty cool for large groups, but sometimes can be... a bit populated.

the distillery is great 3 large building linked together by bridge it almost entirely walled so you don't need to built lot of wall and there huge interior garage to unload you car also river is next to it so easy access to water and fishing and to end lot of bourbon bottle to find get nearly 40 . the location is on the road left of his last location suggested in the video then drive about 100m until you see a black forge steel fence .

I hope at one point a big enough horde can break down just about anything, making nowhere absolutely safe.
Any commonly traversed or, flat out any base location that is in any pre made structures is terrible if there is no kind of loot protection system that is built into the server, if not then you need constant patrols if you want to settle in a pre made area, really only do-able for clans, otherwise you should head for areas that people won’t ever and will never go to, for example in the middle of butt fuck nowhere, or better yet a 1x1 bridge leading to water base, make the entrance to the base via the bridge in a non well known area.

Hey dont go to the last one, is right in the middle of 2 chucks, is right in the middle of the street, that mean thst even if you block the entrace, of the neighberhood the zombies could still spawn inside, also the the frame rate is very low when you walk in the middle of the stree.

Wait...I thought in the beginning PZ only had Maldraugh and just a bit of the surrounding area. So West Point, Riverside, ect...were all add on's to that original map. Or am I misremembering the good old days 10 years ago?
I've been playing for about 7 years bro, lost count, long before cars were added lol. I guess that makes me a PZ boomer.
It's all on one big map, and being stuck in my ways I actually never bothered to visit Louisville until recently, it's not necessary for loot as that's everywhere, but the sheer scale and detail is amazing, they worked really hard on creating new assets and it pays off. Definitely go for a visit as it's an interesting sight to behold.
I'm still waiting for NPCs, when we have them I'll go and set up a large community in the city

Sure, it's still worth heading up there in my opinion. There's a LOT more loot than the other areas. It's supposed to be a challenge/journey, so I doubt it'll get spawn points.

Claim a safehouse by right clicking on the ground inside a building. Factions can be created from the symbol that reads "Client" on the left side of your screen. These only apply in Multiplayer.

This game is just soo addicting, I'm resisting the temptation of always playing it soo that everytime I go in PZ, it feels really super fun, plus I'm prolonging my gameplay, but the replayability of this game is insane, juste the base game is wow, imagine the mods I'll have to explore, wow Ima be playing this for the rest of my life aha, best solo and MP game in zombies settings, and rp is such gold 8n this game, I hope that they'll finish the game on day and take all what they did here in PZ and make a better bigger project in the universe of PZ, maybe zombies in space? Alien planets? We never know, maybe it'll br an alien invasion game

Depends on your sandbox settings, really. Usually they will not spawn in tiles seen by players unless they've been unseen for a set amount of hours.
